The Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego is adjacent to the Seaport Village retail complex in San Diego, Calif. The hotel is one block from the San Diego Convention Center and two blocks from the Gaslamp Quarter.
Hotel Features.
A marble-floored lobby leads to Retail Row, which includes the Regency Gift Shop and the Madison Fine Art store. On-site dining features Lael's, serving American cuisine. Sally's Seafood on the Water is open for lunch and dinner everyday and breakfast on the weekends and boasts an international blend of culinary styles. The club-style Top of the Hyatt serves cocktails and affords lofty views of San Diego Bay, while Redfield's Sports Bar and Deli offers sports-bar atmosphere with 21 plasma-screen televisions and a cigar bar. Ann Marie's prepares specialty coffees and pastries. A full-service business center offers fax, photocopy, print and courier services. A total of 42 function room includes two ballrooms and encompasses 125,000 square feet of space. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel for a fee. Recreational amenities include 2 tennis courts, two outdoor pools, three spa tubs, and a 24-hour fitness center that contains cardiovascular and weight-training machines, and free weights. The Regency Spa offers spa services such as massages, facials and body wraps. Additional hotel amenities include a children's club, rental car agency, concierge assistance and currency exchange.

The Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego offers 1,625 guestrooms distributed between a 40-story tower and a 33-story tower. Hyatt Grand beds are designed with pillowtop mattresses and feature triple sheeting. Décor features include dark-toned furniture and mint-and-gold color schemes. Floor-to-ceiling windows partially open and afford city or partial-bay views. Bathrooms are stocked with Portico toiletries.

Wireless Internet access is also available. Features Direct TV Sports Channels in high-def., darts and billiards.
Redfield’s Deli - Located in lobby level, Seaport Tower, this restaurant serves sandwiches and gourmet soups, salads, fresh-baked pastries, piping hot coffee and espresso beverages. Redfield's Deli offers wireless internet access.
Ann Marie's Coffee House - Located in Seaport Courtyard, on the boardwalk, this café offers both indoor and outdoor seating on the boardwalk and serves a variety of lattes, blended mochas, espresso, Starbucks Coffee, specialty crafted teas, ice cream, pastries, sandwiches and salads.
Top of the Hyatt - Located on the 40th Floor, Harbor Tower, this rooftop lounge offers a spectacular panoramic view above San Diego Bay, Coronado Island and beyond.
The Manchester Grand Hyatt features Kin Spa & Salon on the third floor. Spa packages include access to the bay view pool and spa tub. A 24-hour fitness room is on the fourth floor of the Seaport Tower. A second outdoor swimming pool is on the fourth floor between the two towers and is surrounded by a sundeck, two spa tubs, and a fire pit. The hotel also offers 2 tennis courts and a children's club.

"Great hotel for the price."

The Manchester Grand Hyatt is in a great location. Our room was newly decorated and also had a great view. My only complaint was the cleanliness of our room and the pool/hot tub areas. We went down to the hot tub early one morning for a dip and the tub was so dirty and full of debris we didn't dare get it. "perfect honeymoon hotel"

"Newly renovated"
We stayed here Easter weekend & it was absolutely lovely. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms with a premium view in the harbor tower. The view was gorgeous, beds comfy & bathroom was beautiful! Only disavtange, the parking garage only has 2 elevators so if you're checking out on a Sunday, it's really busy. "Great one night stay"
My kids and I went to San Diego for Springbreak and found an awesome deal that we could not pass on when it came to staying at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. After a long day at the San Diego Zoo, we went to check in. The staff was very nice and the check in was very easy and fast. Our room was on the 19th floor. It was very nice. "7 days on the San Diego Waterfront"
I was here for a conference and I love this location. The conference hotel was nearby but an easy walk as is the convention center. I would go for an early morning run on the Boardwalk and adjacent small island loop. Great views of Coronado Island and Point Loma. The Hyatt is an easy run form the airport and walking distance to the Gaslight district […] with some nice restaurants. My room had a great view was very comfortable and had some nice seating area. "Horrid Hyatt"
The worst hotel visit I have ever had. From the get go it was one thing after another. They are disoraginzed and not customer oriented. I will NEVER visit this hotel again not even for lunch! Their Movies on Demand look like they downloadded some pirated version off the web and the room service food was TERRIBLE hashbrowns so cold they were stuck together. I would have to say, I've stayed at many many wonderful 4-5 star hotels, but I have never come across such amazing, generous, wonderful and welcoming staff. The stay was not the problem, very good hotel. We had paid extra $20 for the breakfast to be included and when we went there they told us that it is included for only 2 people and the price for the other two was $24.99 EACH. For that price you would expect a very elegant, broad choice breakfast menu, which wasn't there also. "Great hotel but lacking in service"
I stayed for a business conference at the convention center which is conveniently located a couple of blocks away. The room was great and clean and the facilities are very nice at this hotel. However, the service was definitely lacking. We had to get new key cards for our room on 4 separate occasions due to a malfunctioning door. This is more of an […] annoyance than anything but it did take over an hour of my time and I really would have expected some type of discount or any offering to make up for the hassle involved. "Great stay"
Great place to stay, excellent staff throughout the property, cannot say enough about the staff. Their attention to detail, warmth and congeniality rival "higher end" properties. Tip them well. They deserve it. Shout out to Joel (valet / concierge) and the staff in all the bars:). Will be back. Paid for a premier view - not bad - overlooking the bay […] and the air craft carrier. However, also directly in front of my line of sight is an UGLY construction site that detracts from an otherwise pleasant view. Management should not be trying to sell these rooms as premier views especially with ongoing construction. "Beware of the 'upgrade'"
I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights in July. At checkin, I was offered an 'upgrade' to a large suite for free, with the caveat that the bed would be a Murphy bed, and I accepted it. Big mistake! The room was probably used by businesses for daytime meetings, so there was no soundproofing whatsoever. I could hear every footstep and every opened/shut door […] in the rooms around me, as well as the footsteps of guests on the upper floor, all night long! The next morning, I discovered after I emerged from the shower that there were no bath towels in my room. Two nights after that, the shower didn't make hot water (I showered at the same time every morning, and it was fine on all other days -- also, the sink had hot water, but not the shower!) The Murphy bed turned out to be no problem at all -- it was also extremely comfortable, but my sleep was disturbed by all the footsteps, talk, and banging doors in the rooms opposite, to the side, and upstairs! "Not a four-star hotel"
The bathroom lacked any ventilation--not even an exhaust fan. The shower lacked any illumination. Some floor tiles were chipped and the grout was worn and darkened. Insufficient staffing of the main desk and concierge station meant always waiting on line (sometime for more than 10 minutes) to check-in or get a question answered. It was the worst experience of my life. The charges for food were exhorbitant and the service and understanding of the staff sucked. The hotel charged $26 for parking a rental car! They were obnoxious with their demeaning response when I complained about the horrific fee they charge to park. They were the worst staff and hotel I have ever stayed around […] the world. Our room had a view of the bay and the USS Midway. Breakfast was great. Room was nice and the hotel is beautiful . Staff were helpful and friendly. Walked to Seaport Villlage to shop.
