San Diego’s waterfront airport lies northwest of downtown, which is home to the San Diego Convention Center, PetCo Park stadium, and the Gaslamp Quarter’s. That historic neighborhood’s restaurants and bars are the hub of the city’s nightlife. Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo form a green swath in this urban jungle. Offshore, Coronado Island offers postcard views of the city skyline.

The hotel was PERFECT. My favorite aspect was the turn down service. We returned to the room to find soft music playing, the bed turned down, chocolates on our pillows, and the trash had been disposed of. The location was great; we walked to everything. My only complaint is the mattress was very hard. I would love to stay at the Westgate again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Fine Hotel Near Gaslamp District"
Service was excellent. Restaurant food quality and service also very high quality. Friday afternoon tea very enjoyable in traditional setting. Only complaint was surprise "facilities charge" sprung upon us when we registered. No mention of this when we paid for this reservation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to Everythig and Beautiful ata good rate."
Just drove down from Vegas for an overnight stay to catch the charger game and get some drinks in gas lamp since my good friend and I had never rally explored it before. The hotel was easy to get to. In a pretty nice part of the district. And was 5 minute walks from great places to eat and drink. It's a short drive to the zoo and football satadium.... […] You can see the baseball stadium from the rooms. The room itself was very clean and amazing overall. The beds were nice and the bathroom was amazing! The only complaint anyone had was no power outlets I. The bathroom vanity for all the lady hair tools my friend had packed. The front desk was super polite and helpful. Valet was 32 for a night which is pricy for us Vegas folk but par for the course in SD And the lot was very secure. The lobby is amazing. And our windows actually open to a balcony! An un heard of thing in las Vegas. I am one of those people that, once I find a something I like, I stick with it. And this will be the only gas lamp hotel I stay at or recommend. "wonderful hotel"
I reserved this hotel because i was hosting a bachelorette party and the location was perfect. We were able to walk to most bars. And the cab rides were only $11 at the most from the hotel as far as Old Town San Diego. The staff was very helpful. Plenty of restaurants and mall right on the same block. We would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Simply Beautiful"
i fell in love with this Hotel the minute i walked in, its a perfect location to enjoy all the night life has to offer in san diego, near stores and restaurants. The Hotel itself is gorgeous Victorian style and being that im a girl i loved their powder room. I will definitly stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. This hotel provided my girlfriend and me with the perfect overnight getaway. We chose to leave the room and walk to dinner, so that we could enjoy the local night life, so I cant comment on any room service, but there were many restaurant and fast food locations within easy walking distance. We […] both agreed to stay here again on our next overnight getaway. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Westgate San Diego"
Lovely European style hotel downtown and close to shopping, symphony, theatre and the gas lamp quarter.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent location and excellent quality. The only downside is you will always feel underdressed at this hotel and the street noise is pretty loud at night. I would still recommend this hotel and go back given the chance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
