A bayside infinity pool offers views of the hotel's private marina, while a seasonal tropical pool includes a game area. Spa tubs are adjacent to both pools. The Blue Pearl Casual Eatery, serves complete cooked breakfast every morning 6:30 AM-11:30 AM, and lunch and dinner, with a menu for children. Dining options also include the Firefly Restaurant and Bar with pool views, offering lunch and dinner and also providing a children's menu. Wireless Internet access (complimentary) is available throughout the hotel. Outdoor parking is available on site (surcharge). A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
Guestrooms are located in 2 areas: Water's Edge and Marina Cove. Water's Edge rooms include bay-view balconies and sofa beds. Marina Cove rooms have marina, pool, or courtyard views, or non-views. The Dana on Mission Bay - Sea World features two landscaped, heated outdoor pools; both have spa tubs. A seasonal pool bar offers beverages for the Tropical Pool, while the Firefly Restaurant provides seasonal beverage service to the Bayside Pool. Ping-Pong and volleyball are available on site for guests, as well as bicycle rentals, pedal boats, personal watercrafts, and other water-sports rentals.
A 140-slip marina and a 27-mile jogging/biking path are adjacent to the hotel.

During warm weather, crowds pack the waters off Mission Beach and Pacific Beach, two of the most popular stretches of San Diego sand. These laidback locales are known to host the occasional farmer’s market or arts festival. Mission Boulevard connects both beaches and leads north to La Jolla.

Our shower handle was broken. The handle came right off before I could take a shower. I wonder how the housekeeping was able to not notice that. The Firefly Resturant needs more staffing. We had to wait at least 15 minutes for anyone to approach us to take an order for drinks, than it was another 20 minutes to get someone to take our food order. Only stayed one night but I was very impressed by their service. We had just gotten engaged the night before and they had accidentally reserved us a room with two beds. They upgraded us to a view room free of charge. Room was very nice with vaulted beamed ceilings. As soon as we got in the room they called to make sure everything in our room was good. We like the location in mission bay. Check the prices at the hyatt across the street- that hotel is fabulous. Overall, it was okay. I woul stay there again. "Third Time at the Dana!"
We loved our stay at the Dana. Got a special deal on Hotels.com, which made it extra nice. We ate at the Firefly restaurant and then met some nice people afterwards by the pool and jacuzzi area. I bought the most expensive package of "view with breakfast" and was very disappointed. First, the view was pool view (not Bay view). Receptionist could of been more helpful. The $20 parking fee is a joke. The hotel is just adding a hidden cost to the rate. My room with the extra cost was suppose to have a view. The only view we got was a Tree that blocked the harbor (last room top floor). I asked for the lower floor because i had small children and the receptionist said that the […] room was on the bottom floor but when we got there is was on the top. I called the desk to ask about it and received no concern so i just suffered. My wife went to the restaurant to get a plastic fork and was treated like she was inferior by the employees. I decided to book the Dana for a nice weekend getaway with my significant other and it was absolutely wonderful. The last time I had been to the Dana was about 10 years ago, right before their remodel. I loved it then and still love it now.
