Very nice hotel, great price. When I told the check in clerk I was there to celebrate my bday, she sent up a nice card with birthday wishes and 2 complimentary drinks at the lobby bar! Love the shower, but hate the price of parking. $32 is crazy, but I suppose the price to pay when staying at a very nice hotel downtown SD. If you don't wanna pay for parking at the hotel, next best bet is to find parking on the street.

When booking this hotel Expedia ensured I would have a shuttle however when I arrived i was told the 5:30 am shuttle I needed may or may not be going. The front desk said I should come down early so they could call me a cab just in case. The shuttle ended up going but caused undue stress in getting to my flight. I needed a hotel that was definitely […] going at 5:30. Other annoyances include a broken coffee maker and having an engineer in my room late trying to fix it when I just wanted to sleep, they did help by bringing a new coffee maker and water but ales there were no outlet plugs near the bed to plug in my iPhone :(. Good location and nice staff. I we did not eat in the hotel so can not rate. The fitness center, pool and Jacuzzi are nice but the machines in the fitness center could use some overhaul. The hotel is a bit older, and due for some renovations - there is a managers letter in the room stating so. The rooms are a bit dated and our corner room was small, but comfortable and very quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

My only complaint about the cleanliness of the room was that there was a massive hot pink stain on the carpet right by the bed (like someone had dropped a bottle of hot pink dye). We were a little concerned that it would spread to our stuff so were really careful about keeping all our things away from this area. $32.00 for parking is ridiculous! The parking was outrageous at $32.00 a night. We got a good rate for the hotel, then had to pay so much for parking. The hotel is beautiful, chosen due it's location less than one mile from where we wanted to be in the Gaslamp. I booked three rooms for a bachelorette party; unfortunately, when we arrived at check-in time, the computer system was down and the hotel staff could not check us into the rooms. Free drink coupons weren't quite worth how long it took to eventually […] check into the rooms, although the staff was very kind and apologetic. Even though it was after check-in time, one of the three rooms wasn't clean yet. With the exception of the check-in fiasco, the hotel was very clean and accommodating. I love San Diego. This time the overnight stay had to much noise even on the 14th floor. The hotel is awsome and the front desk staff and even the Valet were excellent. Try to park a loud Harley Davidson loaded to the gills in a Valet only under hotel garage, after a 400 mile day ride along the coast, in downtown San Diego. Went for a conference and chose the hotel so it wouldn't be so close to the GasLamp due to loudness and partying. It was perfect. Walking distance everywhere and great restaurants, shops, atmosphere. We were out from 10 am - 5 pm and they never came and we did not have the "do not disturb" sign up.
