The Ramada Conference Center's large outdoor pool, spa tub, and sundeck/outdoor patio are situated on private, grassy expanses. "Very reliable hotel"
I can always rely on this hotel to be the same every time I stay here (and I stay here A LOT): clean, friendly staff, good parking, etc. The hotel is old and hasn't been renovated in a long time, but they keep it going despite all the old furniture and age of everything. All I wanted to do when I got there tired at the end of a long day was go to the on grounds restaurant/bar and relax before a the next busy day. I was given a room designed for the disabled, which is fine. However, I am 5'3" and STILL had to lean backwards to fit under the shower head. Also the water conservation program is admirable but the water pressure is so low it takes about 20 times longer to rinse shampoo out of your hair. "Will not stay - right in the NOISY flight path!"
The hotel description is quite misleading. From reading the description and photos, and even the hotel name "Ramada Conference Center", one could think this is a sizable property with decent amenities. But when we got there, we realized that this is such an old motel (yes, motel) - the conference room, lobby, restaurant, fitness, etc, etc, are a joke! […] 24 hrs lobby - no way! They however did renovate the room, but that's about it. Worst part, this property is located in a super noisy flight path - we were constantly bombarded by extremely loud "sonic boom" every few minutes. Terrible! "Could have been better"
NO TUB!. I was a bit unhappy that they had no tubs. only showers. the fridge was smelly! they didn't have the fridge turned on. I had to wait a day for it to air out and get cold again. Was not happy that I found 3 towels that had stains on them. on had a stain of a shoe print. one had what looks to be coffee stain and one looked so dinggy that it was […] almost gray in color. I mentioned it to the staff. They were very quick to replace and fix all that was wrong. But because of this I told them as I was checking out, after they asked how my stay was, I will not come back and will tell of my experience and will tell people not to stay at the Ramada Conference Center in San Diego, CA. Should have listened to my gut and went somewhere else. Well that' swhat I get for listening to men. Lets just say its worth a couple of extra $$ to stay at a nicer hotel. LESSON LEARNED.
