Made a reservation through the phone with an operator, when arrived for check in there was no room reservation. Front clerk had to call it in & get a confirmation number since there was no rooms available we were placed in a handicap room.

Well let me just say it was the worst hotel me and my family have ever stayed at the pictures make it look warm and inviting but the room looks nothing like it. My wife and I changed rooms two times in the middle of the night because: 1) Air Conditioner noise was very loud, 2) Air Conditioner did not work. After that, the other room had no hot water in the shower. Wireless stayed down for three days and front desk did not move to fix it. Dirty towels.

The rooms were noisy. We could hear the TV from the room next to us and everything going on outside. The room we stayed in was close to the pool and guests were in the pool early in the morning and late at night. We had 5 people staying in our room. My husband and I took the hide-a-bed just so the kids could go to bed before us and we could shut the […] door. That bed was so bumpy and every little move we made it would sqeak and wake the other person up. There wasn't any hot water for the shower. The first person and the last person all had a warm shower. The room and the hotel itself felt dirty. The security lock on our door was loose. The breakfast was decent. We had the same thing for the two mornings that we ate there. It would get old if our stay would have been longer. An MP3 player went missing while we were gone for the day. It might show up in one of our bags since everything isn't unpacked. No shuttle was available from the airport. Our flight landed at 11:30pm. Apparently it's not available in the night but wasn't mentioned on the website. Spent $18 on cab. TV's & AC is old. Breakfast was good. Wouldn't go back.

My husband and I had a room, and my best friend and her hubby has a room. Upon checking in, the a/c in my friend's room did not work. The front desk sent the maintenance guy who confirmed it wasn't working and told her the front desk would call her in 5-7 minutes. After 20 minutes, she called them and was told by Nancy that Nancy was too busy helping […] other customers. My friend told Nancy that her room was almost 85 degrees and that she just wanted to know what was happening. Nancy hung up on her. After waiting 10 minutes, my friend and I went down to the front desk. When we walked in, Nancy was just standing there shuffling papers, and there were no customers. Nancy then turned to her co-worker and spoke Spanish, then walked out of the room and did not help us. Nancy didn't realize that we spoke Spanish and understood she was talking crap about us. The other coworker was nice and have my friend a new room - but the air conditioning in her new room leaked. The tv in my room did not work. The next morning, my friend went to talk to the manager about Nancy, but the manager claimed she as unavailable (we were first told by Michelle at the front desk she would be right out but then the manager said "MICHELLE!" loudly and Michelle then made up a story about the manager being unavailable). My friend left her information for the manager to call her and relayed her concerns to Michelle. The manager NEVER CALLED and was always "unavailable" or "not there" when my friend went down. My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night due to convenience of its location to Sea World, which is where we went the day after our stay. The ONLY good thing about this place was just that, location to where we had to go. Other than that, once we got to our room, a nightmare ensued! We had to be moved once due to the extremely outdated air conditioners […] units that looked like they were made for windows, not walls. The first one was completely frozen solid like a huge chunk of ice. The maintenance guys got there told us it would be only a few minutes but we knew it would have been a few hours. After we got moved to another room, the ac unit in that room would not stop leaking and got all over my luggage underneath it. The gate right outside was super loud anytime someone shut it hard which was all the time. Finally, the pillow cases looked as if they had not been cleaned in days. Disgusting! I was extremely disappointed in the location being that the part of town was unsavory. There were many transients in the area and the hotel was located in a place that was my easily accessible to much as there was a median which required u turns on a busy road. The cleanliness of the room was terrible. The bathtub was dirty, there was licorice stuck […] on the floor next to one of the beds and the overall cleanliness was subpar. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and old, the shower water was cold and our room was located in the back building of the hotel grounds and the pool was loud at all hours of the night and the room had no sound barrier. The "free" breakfast consisted of stale bread, generic fruit loops and metiocre small Danish. Overall, I was absolutly unimpressed and I would never ever recommend this hotel. Only thing worth mentioning about this hotel is the breakfast, not that great though. We arrived with 2 young kids, one just a baby at around 10PM, when we checked in the hotel was almost sold out. Asked for crib for baby and was promised to get one in 20 mins. Went to hotel room to find that the AC unit was leaking like tap, literally, had to keep […] basket to under it to collect water. Called up the frontdesk and they said they will send someone to look at it, We asked for different room, but was refused. The staff in general is very rude, I was told that if I am not happy, i can leave. C'mon, with 2 young kids at around 11PM, kidding me?? The repair guy turned the heater and said dont use AC, no AC in summer, now thats great. Oh by the way, its past 11PM and i still have not received the crib which was promised to be delivered in 20 mins. Called up again and got same answer, 20 mins it should be there. The room did not had extra blanket/pillow for sofa bed (which felt like sleeping on springs), called reception again, was told they do not have any more blankets/comforters. Towels were not replenished, there was just one towel, had to ask them to get more, thank god they did had towels atleast. Booked a standard king room for two nights two weeks in advance, but when we got there, they were all booked and only had double fullsize bed rooms left. They gave an excuse about Expedia being a 3rd party the room type was only a request. I managed to fall asleep around 2am, and it almost ruined my first trip to Seaworld. Second night after complaining a lot, we finally got our standard king, the rooms there (two separate buildings) were much better, and you couldn't hear people out in the pool area (right outside) once you closed the door, still rooms are very used to put it mildly and I wouldn't want to ever come back here. We stayed in a two room suite for 4 nights and would NOT suggest anyone stay here. There were two TV's but they only provided one remote. When I asked for another they assured me I would get one. I didn't. The beds were ROCK hard and the comforters were lumpy. They didn't provide conditioner. The shower was all moldy and had minimal water pressure. […] There were huge water stains on the ceiling that they should have painted over. Breakfast was slim pickings unless you wanted to pay additional for pancakes and eggs. We attempted to call the front desk in times that is shouldn't have been busy a few times and no one answered. Stayed at Days Inn to attend my son's MCRD graduation....first of all they do not offer airport shuttle service even though the web site says differently....the front desk staff was rude from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. When we arrived we found that our luggage had been inspected by TSA and the baggie that our bath items were in was […] opened and we had lotion all over our clothes. When we found the guest laundry room it was approx 950 pm...the Security guard saw us go in and stopped us and said it closed at 1000pm and we did not have enough time to do our laundry. When we explained the situation, he told us, everyone has a story and we should have planned better....even after contacting the front desk we were not allowed to use the laundry room...my husband washed our clothes out in the bath tube and we both wore damp jeans to family day. On our 1st morning we were up at 0500 my husband was ironing and I was blow drying my hair when the circuit breaker blew...called the front desk, the same security guard came and did something outside the room, we had the door open to get some light and he shouted in "you all must be running to much stuff".....at 0545 we went to the front desk and asked that a cab be called for us to get to MCRD as the hotel shuttle des not run until 0700....the front desk clerk decided to lecture me about how the 0600 breakfast on base was optional and did I know that nothing really starts until 0900. When i said I had a copy of the schedule, he said, "whatever lady, that is just dumb to go this early" and then he called a shuttle service, not a taxi. Make note that if you get to the base by 0600 you can see the marines practicing for graduation and by 0615 the line of cars is outside the gate, most families arrive way before 0730. I was very disappointed in this hotel and the service we received was very, very poor. I would recommend that you continue to look, but do not stay here if you can help it. Read more

I wasn't happy with the Days Inn Suites Hotel when my family visited in September of 2011. The air conditioning units were in the middle of the walls and were very old units that blew the air right on to you while you slept. The TV's in each room were no bigger than 13 inches and were probably 15 years or older. The hotel must be next to college housing […] or actually housed college students because they were very loud outside our room each night. The community pool/hot tub is in a common area in the middle of the facility and was so loud each and every night (including the work week) that it kept my kids awake at night. The bathrooms are very, very small while having the "bathroom" sink in the middle of the bedroom suite which is very odd as well. The neighborhood is sketchy at best too. The guy who manages the maintenance staff was rude to us as well. We asked for a luggage rack to take our luggage from the back of the facility to the front for our aiport taxi. Unfortunately they couldn't find one for us. We had to hunt down the entire facility for a luggage rack. Once we found the rack we used it and on the way up to the front with our 8 pieces of luggage the Maintenance Mgr had the guts to utter the words,"you aren't the only one staying with us, we need that luggage rack." I laughed at him and kept walking. Not to mention that we had to pay an airport taxi to take our luggage and everyone in my family to the airport at 5:30 a.m. The airport was five minutes away and they had 5-6 large vans in their parking lot. I found it hard to believe they couldn't shuttle us and our luggage to the airporat as apart of their services. Also, when we checked in the front desk staff was terrible. The young lady was about as enthused for us to be there as she was getting a root canal. We had to ask where everything was including pool, our room, where to park and how close some of the local attractions were there. She was only interested in upselling us "continental breakfasts." We arrived at 4pm and were given a room that the maid had just started to clean. They gave us the room next door. We started to unpack and got a little warm so we went to put the air on. Guess what no air. Called the office they sent the maintenance man right away. All he did was hit the reset button and said he would be back in 5 mins. They said they didnt know he was supposed to come back and would send him right over we explained to them we had to leave to make a baseball game. 30 mins later still nothing. We called the front desk and got put on hold for 10 mins. We finally had to leave to make our baseball game and figured we would take care of it when we got back or they would come in and fix it. When we got back nothing had been fixed. We called the front desk and they said they tried to call us in the room a couple times but we didnt answer. We explaned to them again we had to leave and couldnt wait around any longer. They said they were going to change our room but they are now sold out. We asked how it was they knew there was a problem and were going to change rooms and yet they gave that room away anyway knowing there was a problem. All they did was offer us a fan. We were on the ground floor with no screens on the windows or the slider so we had to keep them closed. needless to say it was warm even with a fan. The next morning we called again and were told they would fix the problem. We advised them we were leaving to go to Legoland but to please come in and fix the air. What do you know we get back that night and nothing is fixed and of course they are sold out again. I think they need new management. I would never stay in the place again. Read more

The parking is terrible. If you have a small compact you may be able to fit your car in a parking spot. Customer service is horrendous. The neighborhood is in a bad area. I was worried my car was going to get stolen. I definitely would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is located in a bit of a 'shady' area, not family friendly at all as far as the neighborhood. The clerk was rude when we arrived, we had the wrong room... I have to say, not happy at all. The room was dirty, the linens had burn holes in them and there was mold in the bathroom. There was a cold breakfast for some guest and hot for others, […] but no one told us either way. Pool was overcrowded and had people in it at all hours of the night making a fair amount of noise. All I can say is I have booked Days Inns in other areas and did not have ever have this issue but it will keep me from booking a Days Inn again. Read more

The first night the shower broke and they said we could have a floor on the second floor. Said my husband could not got up and down the stairs. Since hey sent someone that does not understand english, I guess he didn't know to tell us that they have an elevator. I found that out later from another customer. Rooms are not insulated enough to not hear running and jumping kids in the room above us. We could hear every conversation and gathering outside of our room at all hours of the night. One night I opened the door to say something about the noise and the security guy walked right by the loud group without saying anything to them. Parking is horrible. […] One night I could not find a spot to park in either of the two lots. Many people also park using two spots (5 such vehicles on this night.) The swimming pool was very cloudy. As far as the location it was close to many things but there are way too many homeless people just living in the streets all around the whole area. I noticed campers that are parked permantly on the surrounding streets that haven't moved in a very long time and people appear to be living in those as well. I will never stay at this hotel again. Horrible location and the hotel itself is in dire need of upgrading, or atleast a new coat of paint. This property is rundown and the carpets are filthy. I was supposed to stay 2 nights, but I checked out after the first night. I ended up getting a room at the Double Tree in Fashion Valley, which was a vast improvement.
