    We wanted to be near gaslamp district for shopping and dining convenience. This hotel is perfect. On top of that, the gym is beautiful - better than... some health clubs. Lots of cold water available in cups, not bottles - better for the environment. And having Starbucks in the lobby was the icing on the cake. The hotel restaurant needs work - there was nothing plain or simple - we have some dietary restrictions.     A newly renovated large freeform outdoor pool are encircled by outdoor walkways between the Marriott's towers. The artfully landscaped pool area includes tall palm trees and bird-of-paradise blossoms. New additions to this area are cozy fire pits, private cabanas, 2 hot tubs, a kids play area with pop-jets, and a new pool restaurant and bar. At the hotel's 446-slip marina, guests can rent slips, personal watercraft, and powerboats. A state of the art newly renovated fitness center features a variety of cardiovasular equipment, free weights and weight machines. The adjacent Embarcadero is great for walking, running, or cycling. Balboa Park, 1.5 miles away, contains a municipal golf course, running paths, 13 museums, and the San Diego Zoo. Surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and sailing are available at local beaches and Mission Bay Aquatic Park, which also offers windsurfing, water skiing, kayaking, and other watercraft rentals. Rock climbing is within two miles, Coronado Beach and Coronado Municipal Golf Course are within six miles, and horseback riding and miniature golf are within 10 miles of the hotel.

    More than expected. I myself world traveller, staying at best hotels around world. This Marriott is more than i expected! Beautiful in every way. Amazing location, marina, gaslamp quarter right next to it. Amazing gym! Wonderful staffs! Wonderful place for anybody!

    We have stayed at the Hilton and Manchester Hyatt in the past. The Marriott by far exceeded our expectations. The staff were excellent. Room was fantastic on the 25th floor over looking the harbor. We would definitely stay at this property again.

    The desk agent who initially checked us in put us in the wrong room without the bay view & balcony we had reserved but the correction was made and we were moved to the appropriate room. After that, everything was superb.

The food was excellent in the restaurants, and the grounds were beautifully kept with clean and inviting pools. I enjoyed my stay--the only minor issue had to do with construction on the bottom floor of my tower. It blocked access […] to the pool area, and I had to go out through the main lobby and the other tower to get there--not that comfortable walking through the main lobby in my bathing suit and cover up.     A great hotel near the Gaslamp district, and right on the marina! Great view of San Diego bay and Coronado! Hotel was beautiful, the staff had a nice greeting, and were extremely helpful. We loved this hotel, and will be back!

    This is a top notch hotel. It's also expensive, but I guess that's why it is top notch. Pool area is amazing. Food was great. Room was great. View was great. Service was great. They let me check in 5 hours early. I hope to come back to his hotel on a future trip.
