    I spent Labor Day weekend in San Diego with a friend and picked this hotel because of its central location. It was a brisk 15 minute walk to the Gaslamp... district, about a 20 minute walk to the harbor, and a 10-15 minute drive to the zoo. We got a room with 2 double beds and they were SUPER comfortable The room was very clean and the staff was pretty friendly. The only thing I didn't like about the room was the weird sliding bathroom door. You can't lock it and it easily lifts up from the bottom. It doesn't offer much privacy so travel with good companions! The surrounding area isn't the greatest but it is downtown and we experienced no issues.     Located in downtown San Diego, this recently-renovated hotel is a half-mile from Balboa Park. San Diego Bay and Maritime Museum of San Diego are both 1 mile away. San Diego Convention Center and the Gaslamp Quarter are 1.5 miles from the hotel, while San Diego Zoo is 2.5 miles away.

    Four Points by Sheraton San Diego Downtown offers a business center, 2 meeting rooms with superb views of the city and harbour, and audiovisual equipment, as well as complimentary wireless Internet access throughout. First Avenue Grill serves breakfast each morning (surcharge), and has pastries, sandwiches, and hot entrees throughout the day. The hotel features a heated outdoor pool, and a fitness facility with cardio machines and free weights. Dry cleaning/laundry service is available. At scheduled times, a complimentary shuttle makes trips to the airport.

    The location of the hotel works well if you are looking to do anything in downtown SD. The room was clean and featured up to date beds, tv, and bathroom. The bathroom comes equipt wiht shampoo, conditioner and shower gel dispenser, which are great additions. Watch out for the hidden parking charge ($17 on a Saturday night).

    I had to change hotels at the last minute and had never been there before. There were good and bad. The building is older and the hallways need a paint job, but the beds, linens, towels and bathroom was nice and clean. I asked to have the chair changed out in my room because a previous guest must have had shaving cream all over their hands. I did ask […] the desk to have the dishes removed from the hall. It was a room service order that was set in the hall, but had been there for 14 hrs. The free coffee in the lobby was AWESOME and the staff was nice when addressed for any reason. The neighborhood has a population of homeless, but what are we going to do, it's happening everywhere. I saw no real trouble. Read more

    The location was great we walked everywhere. The Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy and even the Convention Center. The Shuttle is available if needed. The only downside was that our flight arrived at 11 pm and departed at 6am and the shuttle was not available during that time.

    Between the free shuttle and the knowledgeable hotel staff members, I couldn't ask more from a hotel. My friends and I came to San Diego, not wanting to rent a car so we decided to stay downtown.     Got a nice scare when the bellhop accidentally grabbed my bag thinking it was somebody else's. This was really annoying when i turned around and it wasn't there! Otherwise the room was very nice. The first night was very noisy as the people above had a toddler who played and ran back and forth most of the night. Fortunately, the 2nd night they weren't […] there and it was a quiet evening. Also the MTS (Trolly and Bus) services that run through the city are very nearby and make getting to places like Old town and Pacific Beach a breeze.     i love this hotel. I got the room i want...and the view from my room i've imagined before checking-in. Free Shuttle service to the attraction site is a plus. I will definitely stay at this hotel again and hopefully stay in the same room again next time. It's highly recommended.
