Hampton Inn and Suites Exeter

This hotel seems to be relatively new. I can't say for sure, but I would say its not more than 5 or so years old. Very clean and comfortable rooms, free parking, free internet. I didn't partake in the free breakfast, so I can't comment on the quality of it. I normally only stay at hotels with a lounge on site since I tend to enjoy a few adult beverages […] after a hard work day. Although this hotel doesn't have a bar, there is a great Mexican cantina just a couple minutes walk up the road; so all was good. Read more

We stayed here back in April and loved it so much so we decided to stay here when we were in the area again. The price in August was a bit more than what we paid back in April, but I understand because the area overall is much more popular in the summer season. The front desk was very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, I left my airline bag of liquids, deodarant, prescription pills, etc. in the bathroom. When I called later in the day, I was told the cleaning staff threw it all away. That seemed a little drastic and unnecessary.

The hotel staff was a bit like a Zombie movie only the zombies were docile and didn't try to eat my arm. The room was comfortable overall. The attempt at a comfie chair turned out to be more like a dentist's chair than comfortable. The bed was nice. The gym is quite nice. Location was OK, too. Room was huge, if awkwardly laid out. Staff were, overall, competent, helpful, and friendly. We did have an unsatsfactory reaction to our 1:45am noise complaint (she offered to move my family of 5 down the hall to sleep, instead of dealing with the problem). One thing that really bothered us was the amount of waste produced: breakfast on styrofaom […] and plastic, no compost or recycling, each cup wrapped in plastic.... An ironic contrast to the uplifting messages about carpooling and taking care of each other that were posted aorund the elevators, etc. Read more

When leaving the hotel I inquired about how far it was to Manchester,NH. Desk help on duty 8/5 11 AM told me the travel time and offered me directions as to most direct way. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and kind. Good job!
