"Nice, scenic location"
We stayed at the Exeter Inn to be near family, who live in the area. The room was over-crowed with a king bed and large desk. (We booked a queen bed) We hit the desk every time we went around the bed. Not much room to put your luggage. The bathroom had mildew on the walls & ceiling. No screen in the bathroom window. "Okay in a pinch"
The room was nice, bed had upgraded linens and was comfortable, however the air conditioner leaked and made the room damp or moldy. I left the next morning with a sinus infection! "Historic feel, but outdated and somewhat run-down."
The hotel itself has a nice, up-class feel and they provide some nice amenities (cookies at turn-down, nice robes, good quality bedding). Staff seemed helpful and friendly. Things were quiet so we were upgraded to a king-size bed. However, the room itself was in need of care. The baseboard and window trim were in need of repainting with very noticeable […] chipping. Additionally, the bathroom tile was stained and cracked. These things could possible be overlooked, but the room itself was not cleaned adequately; on check-in I found a peanut, a large pile of fuzz, and an ear plug on the floor.
