It did not look anything like the pictures on the website. Our room felt damp, and it didn't smell good. There were marks on the walls and dust around things weren't cleaned well. The sink and the toilet were very short like it was made for children. Comfy bed, good living layout, fridge & microwave, typical tiny bathroom - good hotel for a business trip. Layout of hotel with multiple buildings & no elevators was confusing. "Not the room I booked"
I booked a King bed room several weeks in advance. When I arrived at the hotel they told me I booked a Double room. I showed the person at the front desk my email conformation that proved I booked a King room and then she told me they booked them all and bumped me from my room. I booked the Red Lion for the very first time after stays in other hotels around the area - The Red Lion was a nice little surprise mostly because the rooms are really really good. I don't think the reviews are accurate on this at all. This is a sub-par motel at best and the absolute most you should expect for a room this poor in such a noisy spot should be no more than $60-70. This Hotel property is a good value with a convenient East side location. I was very unhappy with their attempt to charge my credit card $40.00 upon Check-in. They claimed it would be refunded in " 2 to 3 days " after check-out. The one thing negative I can say is the scent that they spray into the hallways is too strong and unappealing; and if you have environmental allergies it's very unhealthy. I've stayed here three times now. The first two stays were fine. I had an upstairs room (it's a 2-story hotel) and the rooms were adequate for my needs. On this last stay, I was put in a downstairs, handicapped accessible room and was very disappointed. Both beds in the room were absolutely horrible. Truly, terrible. The hotel itself is old and somewhat […] dated but this particular room was bad. Carpet was coming up in places; baseboard was peeling in the bathroom; and again, both beds caved-in like a hammock when I sat on them. They should be taken to the dump. Once upon a time, this was a nice hotel. However, Bellevue has moved past its Red Lion days, and has moved on to bigger and better things.
