"Wedding stay"
The rooms were not what I booked. I booked a king with sofa, no sofa, had to get a role a way. They didn't get the message about the crib we needed, had to tell them when we got there. The rooms were not cleaned for the last night of our stay and our key cards didn't work the last two days of our four night stay. The hotel was convenient to my son's […] house and for the wedding festivities. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Funeral Home, and grave sites."
I had mentioned at time of reservation that I was age 77 and my companion was age 92, prefered a room near entrance and ground floor. No such luck, people with dogs seemed to have preferance to those.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Dont intend to stay again...Dogs all over the place...one pooped in the lobby with 3 droppings. Stayed on 4th floor and heard dog barking across from room. Several dogs downstairs and pooping all over outside constantly. Had 3 rooms rented.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel was fine. The noise from narking dogs was undesirable so I would not stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Almost a good deal..."
I wanted to give this hotel a perfect rating. I made my reservations on a last minute basis. I arrived at the hotel and was nicely greeted by staff. The check-in process was easy and nonstressful/ The location of the hotel was great for the purpose of my trip. The room seemd to be clean. The problem: The night I arrived I went to take a bath. There […] was a small black ant on the rug cloth that was drapped across the side of the tub. I felt I could over look this. What I could not overlook was being awakened at 4am by a black ant biting my neck. I went to check the bathroom to see if there was a source. There was one more black ant on the floor in the bathroom. I called the front desk and asked for bug spray. A can of repellent for bed bugs, fleas, ticks and dust mites was delivered to my room. The problem was not any of these pests but I figured poison is poison. I sprayed the perimeter of the room and never fell back into a deep sleep. I talked more to the gentlemen that I reported this to the following morning. He thought it was odd the ant was in the bed. I also informed the man on the day shift that seemed to be more in charge. He just said they would call pest control. They did not seem to make a big deal about this. No discount to my room. As much as I hate to say it, I probably will not return to this hotel. It is unfortunate because it seems to be a farely decent place. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"not my favorite spot for a sleep-over"
It may have been the road conditions--under construction--but finding this place was a nightmare; driving in McKinney was not fun. The fan in the bathroom came on with the light and was really loud, so we couldn't leave the bathroom light on as a night light. We asked for a ground floor room....didn't get it. Asked for a handicap bath. didn't get it. […] Wanted a king; got 2 queens. The first room we were put into had a smoke alarm with a bad battery so it squawked every few seconds. so we were moved to the 4th floor and the elevator was really slow. and the signage in the hall on the ground floor was confusing. Nothing said "lobby" Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to nothing & hard to find"
There is only one sign identifying this building as a La Quinta motel and no sign on the street side or on the highway. There are no restaurants in walking distance. When we checked in, power was not working in the room - circuit breakers had to be reset. On day two, the door lock had to be reset. On day three, the "neighbor's" dog set our sleeping […] hours, keeping us awake late and waking us early. The breakfast was minimal and lacking in imagination. We'll find a different place the next time we visit McKinney. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
