The MOST uncomfortable beds and pillows ever - my husband and I were both so incredibly sore by the end of the week, we were miserable. The room had the very barest of necessities - which wasn't a negative, we expected that given the price. Worst outcome though was the fact that we left our car keys in the room when checking out -- and flew all the […] way home before realizing it. Had the hotel bothered to call us and tell us when they found them, we could have made it back up there and picked them up before leaving the State. And even when calling to see if they had them, the employee was totally unconcerned and simply said she would check with housekeeping when they came in ... The motel is in need of a major fix up. The room smelled horrible (not from smoke, I'm not sure what), the pillows were as flat as pancakes and the bedspread looked about 30 years old. This hotel was surprisingly cheap considering the location. The room was adequate and clean. Outside the room the hotel was a bit dirty and run down, but not too bad. You can't beat the price and convenience of this hotel. The rooms were actually pretty clean and comfortable, especially considering the price. Service at the front desk was very dodgy in the morning, but not a big deal. My big problem with the Goodnite Inn was being kept up all night - there were people opening and shutting doors until 6:00 AM, maybe […] later but I must have finally collapsed of exhaustion. Several parties were talking very loudly, and on an occasion when I went out to my car at 11:00 PM, there was quite a large party of people who seemed like they were quite drunk, possibly high on methamphetamine. Seriously. It was very loud, and not real kid-friendly. The next morning, wrecked from a severe lack of sleep, I crawled into the Starbucks on the other side of the freeway. The barista asked me how I was doing, and when I told him I'd been up all night in a hotel because of noisy, chemically altered hotel guests, he said, "Oh, you at the Goodnite Inn?" Apparently I'm not the first person to have this experience, and the Starbucks barista explained that this was a problem at the Goodnite Inn. I hate to write this review, because the hotel has a lot of potential to be a nice, affordable place to stay. I'm sure other people have said this, too-- Good Nite is one of the cheapest hotels in the area that still has a pool and jacuzzi, to boot. In that respect, it's a good value. This place was in a very convenient location for us since we were touring the Russian River and Sonoma wineries and breweries.
