"worst hotel in bay area"
This is the worst hotel I've stayed in the bay area. The bathroom has cob webs. When you take a shower you see a gap at the ceiling and when u push that ceiling you see the beams and electricity and you feel like someone is watching you while you're taking a shower. It was creepy! Just because they gave you a sale price of your hotel room doesn't mean […] they will take out some of the amenities like: refrigerator, ice bucket and comforter. For heaven's sake! The bedsheet feels like a huge bond paper or a deep fried crispy rice cake. The sound proofing is the worst! You hear all the planes landing and taking off. Reception staff are so unfriendly. Hey...what is a hello and a smile to greet your guests? Don't even bother to dine in this hotel. It's pricey and tastes aweful! Again...I will never ever stay in this hotel ever again! The stay was a nice get away for my wife and I. It was the second time we have stayed there. The first was a standard room that was comfortable and a nice gift from a friend which, included two breakfast buffet tickets.The breakfast consisted of pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs, a variety of cold and hot serials, ham, bacon, sausage and toast. They […] also had a fruit bar and a variety of juices, milks and other drink options. This last time we stayed I decided to stay on one of their executive floors on the top floor; because, I wanted to get something nice for my friends who where in town visiting for just a day and a night. I thought the top floors where going to be bigger and have a jacuzzi tub and/or stuff of that nature. It was mostly all the same so I wouldn't typically recommend the extra costs of the executive floors. I would however, say if you see a great rate and want a little get away then it would be worth it. I also wanted to mention the man who checked me out of the room upon departure was very helpful. "Perfect spot to stay after a long day's flight"
We were only looking for a close hotel to SFO just to sleep in. We thought it would be nicer. I must say the customer service was excellent. They went above and beyond. Room was good, but on lower floor and heard freeway noise all evening and night long. There was some kind of young people party downstairs in lobby and adjoining room. Obviously this is a hotel convenient to stay at for a quick stop over in SF with such easy access to SFO. Its a nice hotel...the only negative is the noise from the highway if your room is on that side of the building. Very loud...but luckily I sleep with ear plugs so that saved me. Concierge was helpful, arranged for ground transortation etc. We booked late, and to get us two rooms on the same floor they put us in two handicap-accessible rooms on the first floor. Very nice hotel. The rooms look exactly like the pictures (modern, fashionable, and very good condition). We had a late check in and the staff was very kind. There was a little mix up with housekeeping not cleaning our rooms the second day that we were there. When we returned from an exhausting day of sightseeing, our rooms were uncleaned. The hotel room, staff, and overall cleanliness are just fine. The problem is the pricing of the food at the hotel ($2.99 for a $0.99 bag of chips - $9.00 glasses of wine that sell everywhere else for $4.50, etc.) The daily parking is $18.00. The other problem was the elevator situation. So they nickel and dime you to death - more like dollar and dollar […] you. During the early morning rush hour for checkouts, there was only one elevator working. We waited 10 minutes for an elevator to the sixth floor. We had a great stay at the Crowne Plaza; the service was great, the rooms were clean, and right across 101 was a very cute area of Burlingame- there are lots of shops and restaurants well within walking distance. The hotel is older but in good shape, we used it to sleep and shower- we didn't go to San Francisco to stay in the hotel so it was all we […] needed! We felt safe, it's in a good location. They will shuttle to the airport and then you can catch the BART into the city. They do charge for parking if you have a car. To be honest I was a little worried after reading the reviews on here but after our first night I realized that the negative reviews I read were untrue- at least from what we saw. The airport was not on top of the hotel- we never heard any planes fly over. We ran the AC all night (who wants to breath stagnant air?) and couldn't hear the airport or the highway. This hotel is dirty. The restuarant is terrible and bad service all the way around. The windows were so dirty in the room you could not see out of them and the shower head barley puts any water out.
