The hotel is very conveniently located for business or personal travel in Palo Alto and other SF peninsula locations. Prices are reasonable. However,... the hotel is on the older side and the walls are a thin. There was some street noise during the morning commute time. There was also noise from the floor above. Replace the carpet with linoleum or tile. Very dirty! Very dark room, TV doesn't work, very high price for very poor quality room. Not enough nonsmoking rooms available! Should be more nonsmoking or even smoke free, smokers should be doing this outside. This place could really use some renovation. Rooms are small. Linens were skimpy. Heater unit very old. Room smelled of strong deodorizer and window was open on a cold winter day. The location was good if you're visiting Stanford University. However, the price was more than what the room was worth. The hotel was not very clean, and the individual at the front desk was not polite (e.g., he gave the the impression that asking him a question was a huge imposition).
