"Convenient Location"

Beware! When we arrived we were assigned one of a few "standard" rooms reserved for guests who book through online services, i.e. small, dark, facing the parking lot. We stepped on nailclippings and other distasteful items on the carpet, hair in the soap dish, spilled soda on the nightstand, and ... bed linens that were so wrinkled and and limp that […] the night manager confirmed our suspicion that they were not fresh! He offered a fresh set of bed linens for us to change the sheets. The next morning the manager offered us a certificate for lunch at the restaurant on site (not open for breakfast!), but needless to say we did not stay around for lunch. This hotel was not what we expected. We did not have a room that was clean and and it was like staying in a cave. We were put in a handicaped room that only had a shower. There were drains in the floor that gave off foul odors. We had to ask for our room to be recleaned twice. The hotel is NOT as advertised. The pictures of the pool and "resort" surrounding are not true at all. This place is an upscale gym located just off a major road. NO restaurant on site as advertised and the room was dirty. I was greeted warmly and professionally at check in. The desk went out of their way to help me with a few things, and for that I am extremely grateful. "Just a so-so hotel."
This is a so-so hotel in Scottsdale. We stayed seven nights during the Christmas holidays. The hotel staff didn't bother to clean our room three of the seven days. I never saw the cleaning staff use a vacuum on the carpets, so I suspect we had stuff left over from many previous visitors. Wouldn't go back since there are less expensive hotels in Scottsdale […] which probably would do a better job at making sure their guest have clean linen and towels, daily, during the visit. Probably a nice hotel in its hey day, but the property has not been maintained well. When we first checked in we were placed in a room that wasn't cleaned. We changed rooms and found that we couldn't operate the AC fans, only had 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper, sheets were slightly dirty, with limited towels. I have stayed at several hotels in the same area. The room description stated seperate tub and shower. They were not seperate. The shower rod came loose and fell on my head. The sheets were worn enough they would not stay on the mattress. We had to fix the sheets multiple times. The room description also stated a microwave that was not in the room either. The suite we stayed in was huge! Large living area with kitchenette, very spacious bathroom and large bedroom with a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool was large and clean. We had the fire alarm start chirming and the service guy came and fixed it within 10 minutes. We really enjoy staying at this hotel... This was our second time staying there. The only problem was that the pool was out of service for 4 days & had to be drained because the chemicals weren't right... This is the best hotel value that I have found. I've there 4 times and every experience has been wonderful. I recommended it to my business partner and she agrees.
