This might be very good as a motor lodge but to call it a resort is felonious. The lobby is motelesque, attendant was very nice, pool, lounge, restaurant all closed. A very old decently maintained motel. The room was very good. Spacious and clean, excellent t.v. and bed. Poor neighborhood but 10 minutes from better.

I've stayed here several times and this was my least favorite of the group. This room was dated and needed upgrading. Instead of 3 regular-sized pillows, this room featured 4 square-shaped pillows that were not comfortable. Toilet made noise all night. On a good note, staff was very friendly. We got there and checked into room and the room had trash all over and the bed wasn't even made. I brought it up to the front desk and they got me into another room but needless to say...it definitely threw us off.

I found this hotel to be in a decent location, close to freeways, Old Town & markets.The room was in shape but somewhat outdated. The staff of the hotel were superb. The hotel itself, while showing signs of recent renovation, was tired and a little run down. The location was not aesthetically pleasing but was very convenient to the airport, shopping and easy access to major roadways.

For the price of my hotel room you would think it might include a continental breakfast. No you have to pay for it and their restaurant does not open until 7am. I loved the hugh bird cage in the outdoor area, the adult swing, and crystal clear pool. Security was a slight problem as someone was banging on all the doors at 7am, but the desk was not sure who the person was. The police were called, but we did not see them arrive. I asked for late check out when I checked into the hotel. Regular checkout is at noon and they said the latest is 12:30 which is fine. Sunday afternoon its 12:10 pm and I am getting ready to leave. I get a phone call, pick it up and the lady says, "Are you leaving". That's it. No, "Hi this is the front desk explaining who she was. Just Are you leaving? […] I told her I asked for late check out and she said in a very upsetting voice, "I didn't say you could have late check out." I told her I had requested it at check in and she asked who I spoke to and I said whoever checked me in. I was very upset. Nothing is worse than somebody rushing you to leave your hotel room. It makes you accidentally forget things. I told her I would be out in twenty minutes as I promised I would at check in and hung up. Went to check out and the lady barely looked at me. I had a 4 dollar tab at restaurant and water from the front desk is a dollar a piece which they never recorded when I got them the previous day so I told the lady she was missing two bucks off my tab. Lack of communication and friendliness is missing in this hotel. Other than that the hotel is clean, rooms are large, and pool area is nice. Read more

We asked if we could check out 2 hours later but was told by the front desk they could not authorize that. We had the air conditioner set down all the way and it was still not even cool in the room. That is not good when it's 110 out.

Average hotel - NOT 3 stars; smoking areas are right outside the rooms which requires non-smokers to walk through clouds of smoke; I left my room for the evening and upon returning my electronic keys would not work to let me in the room. The clerk asked if I'd put them next to a cell phone and claimed it would demagnatize any e-key - right, whatever. […] No elevator - I asked for an accessible room and was placed on the second floor (stairs). This hotel has a nice yard and a swimming pool, but air conditioning is so noisy and wireless internet service is dreadful, can hardly get singnals in the room so have to go to a location that is close to Lobby. The price matches its services, so stay in this hotel when it has a discount.

The location is clodr in Scottsdale and PHX Airport. Parking lot is shared with a massage establishment. Rather dark to find the place after sunset. No elevators. They did offer to find help if I needed it. Refurbished rooms with mismatched pieces. The blooming orange trees did smell nice.

This was a hotel my husband and I just got for the night as we were passing by Arizona and for the price it was ok. We got there at 2:30am and they checked us in very quickly, got a nice, comfy and clean room. The pool view/ garden area looks great at night! Then again we were there to sleep and go on right the next day so we just wanted a place for […] a good night's sleep which did not exactly happen. At 7am the next morning I was woken up by several chirping birds (they have a big birdcage in the middle of the garden) and a fountain. Also some kids were in the pool shouting and talking loud in the morning when people were still trying to sleep (parents, please be respectful of other people with your kids when staying in hotels!). Needless to say we got up early and headed out to continue our journey. Clean room, comfy bed but noisy place. Would not stay there again. Read more

Room was comfortable and more quiet than I would have expected. This is an unusual Best Western featuring music by the pool and large cage of birds in the courtyard. I liked the birds but their sound might bother others. The music by the pool, as well as the general feel of the hotel, may have been the same in the 1950's as it is today. The pictures of the property may mislead one to think of something a bit more pristine than it really is; yet it is good for the sale price I paid. It is an "Inn" but not a "resort". Keep your expectations on a lower level and the place will be a nice surprise to you. A good place to stay for a over-night only.

Room was smaller than expected; crowded for 4 people. Did not enjoy the parakeets in the courtyard which woke us up every morning before we were ready to get up. Nice little lounge and restaraunt, but hours of operation were unclear.

The hotel was very close to my final destination. It was rather noisy with children running around at night. I did not appreciate not having air conditioning in the room. There was no microwave but there was a refrigerator. I did experience standing water in the bathtub during my shower.

We have stayed here twice. The first time was great. It was October, so we got a great rate, and it was obvious that they were gearing up for winter with grass seeding and planting. Our bed was very comfortable. This is an older hotel, but work has been done to it. The second time, they gave us the room next door. It had double beds instead of a king. […] Both beds had a significant sag in the middle that we noticed even before going to bed. They could not change us until the next morning due to hotel being sold out. It was a rough night, but they changed us to a different room the next night. Another great bed. Stayed here for one night. The location isn't very convenient, not near the freeway. The name says resort but did not feel like it. Breakfast is not included but this is not clear when making the reservation. Didn't really care for this hotel very much. Comfortable beds though.

The location of the hotel is in an obscure area. There are multiple strip/burlesque establishments in the surrounding areas. The hotel itself was older and did not have any windows outside toward the parking lot. The hotel also seemed to be very small. The room was nice enough, we only stayed there one night. They did not put enough towels in our room. […] The bed was comfortable. Overall, I would suggest this hotel only if you are a) desperate for a low rate, or if you are only staying in the hotel for one night. We did not use the pool or any of the 'resort' services. The hotel was in a convenient location near both Scottsdale and Tempe but the hotel it's self isn't anything to write home about. The hotel is old but remodeled a bit. Good deal for the price if you don't need anything fancy, but I have seen nicer Best Westerns.
