I was pleasantly surprised by Julie, front desk clerk, smile upon arrival. And it didn't stop there. I had forgotten my charger and she had a building engineer bring me up a full box of them. Unfortunately, they didn't have the charger I needed, but the next morning when I woke up, there was a hand written note under my door apologizing they didn't […] have the charger I needed and hoped I had a pleasant stay. I was shocked that she took the time out to add that personal touch. Thank you. Oh and also, 10 minutes after checking in she called my room just to ask if everything was ok with the room. Wow! P.S. This was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in!!! But, as there is always a but, it was old, wallpaper coming off the walls, furniture worn, beds old. Attended a conference at the nearby Hyatt where rooms were $250nt+ Chose to stay hear instead and paid $69! The shuttle was available upon request before 10PM and took me over whenever i needed to be there. Great breakfast too! Pre-made omelettes and sausage on sat AM. Book here worry free.

To my pleasant surprise, this hotel was located across the street from CA Pizza Kitchen, Abe's Deli and Macaroni Grill. Nice workout facility, great pool and hot tub in outdoor courtyard and great speed on the internet connection. I'll stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn @ Shea Blvd. The property was very clean and quiet, the breakfast had a lot of selections (including fresh fruit and oatmeal), the pool was very nice, and all of the staff we encountered were extremely cordial and professional. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

Everything was great. Nice room, great location, friendly service. The only issue I found was that they were a little too keen on getting me up and out on check out day. A clean service was knocking on my door by 8:30 in the morning, not normally that early except I was at a wedding the night before and had gotten home very late. I did not find a thermostat for the room, but it was kept at a very comfortable temperature. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean. There was a hum from something outside, but not enough to disturb my sleep. I would certainly go back there again.

The hotel accommodations were beyond expectation and quite comfortable. An average continental breakfast is offered until 10:00 am for late risers like myself!! The staff is extremely friendly. I will definately return. Good breakfast, good staff, free toothpaste. It is an older building, but kept up. My room was by the pool and kids were loud till11pm (closing time). Other than that, I thought it was great. I also like 12noon check outs.

Basic hotel for our needs. Purpose of the trip was golf, then golf, then more golf, so all we needed was a place to sleep and shower. Plenty of decent restaurants in the area; close to private and public golf courses, yet away from the busy part of downtown Scottsdale.

Check-in staff was very helpful and friendly, all amenities were available. Because it was the holiday season free cookies were out in the breakfast/lounge area. Our stay was comfortable enough. I had booked for a King but received two Queen beds instead -- no big deal. Everything in the room was clean, but obviously the hotel has not been remodeled […] for a while. The countertops, etc. have been cared for but the wallpaper in the bathroom seemed overdue for a replacement. I could not figure out how to turn on the overhead exhaust fan in the bathroom, but ventilation was sufficient. We didn't use any of the mini bar items in the refrigerator, but they are there. I would recommend going across the street to CVS or right up the street to 7-Eleven instead since the prices are much better. The location was fantastic for our visit to Scottsdale.
