"Great spot to pivot from when playing in the city"
High quality throughout. Especially found the treat bag at checkout for car claim to be a nice touch.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a wonderful and memorable time celebrating our 40th anniversary! This hotel is a classic and a beautiful hotel in a great location of downtown Seattle. Staff helpful and positive. Room and bed was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Dining experience - the setting, staff and food were all excellent. We will come again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing Anniversary Getaway"
We just mentioned that it was out anniversary and they sent us Chocolate covered Strawberries with a Card and message written in chocolate on the plate. Room was amazing and they upgraded us to a suite for only $25.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Luxury in the heart of Seattle"
The Fairmont is a fantastic luxury hotel centrally located in downtown; it's perfect for folks who want to see the city as well as hometown boys like me who want to escape with the wife and enjoy the fantastic dining options. My only (mild) compliant is that the flat-screen TVs are only connected to an analog source, so your viewing experience will […] not be nearly as sharp as the one at home. This lack of an HD signal is not enough to stop me from giving the Fairmont a 5-star review, but it did strike me as odd given the complementary wifi service in the rooms. very good service, close to many shops and restaurants, but room is very smallGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The stay overall was fantastic. We hit a slight bump but when it was brought to the attention of the hotel staff it was taken care of immediatly with a little extra for our inconvenience. The hotel was centrally located that allowed us to walk to many of the sights downtown or on the waterfront.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great room with easy walking distance to the sights of Seattle.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bed was horrible"
The bed was a king sized bed on double box springs. I sleep next to my wife as you are suppose to and I had to sleep on a hard ridge where teh box springs came together. Needless to say, I got no sleep, woke with a back ache that I had for two days. To make matters worse, I expressed my experience and discomfort while checking out and the desk clerk […] only said, " Gee, that's too bad." Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Our stay at the Fairmont was perfect. All employees were very helpful and saw to every single need with a level of professionalism rarely seen in most hotels I have stayed in. This will be my go to hotel for all future trips to Seattle!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"close to everything"
Was a beautiful hotel with a lot of character and very quiet and clean. Close to everything. Hotel had a town car to drop you off and pick you up if you needed but it was only 5 blocks to Pioneer Square, Pike Market and shopping and restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Superb hotel. Absolutely immaculate in all ways-I would recommend it to anyone, and will be returning soon.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Prior to boarding out cruise ship for Alaska, we spent the night at the Fairmont Olympic Seattle Hotel. This historic hotel cannot be described with one adjective..This hotel is awesome, beautiful, fantastic and provided an experience beyond our expectation..The lobby is gorgeous, the service is superb and the restaurants fabulous. In addition the location is wonderful for anyone staying for a while. If we ever find ourselves back in Seattle, the Fairmont will be a definite choice.
"Very Poor First Impression..."

Booked two adjoining double rooms as travelling with four children and had the confirmation documents, upon arrival at the hotel they had one King bedded room booked for us....The front desk staff member realized this was a major mistake and asked us to return later when it would be resolved. We arrived back in the early evening to find we now had 2 King bedded rooms but at opposite ends of a corridor, not much help with four young children, my wife and I had to split rooms and children, not very convenient or appealing on Day 1 of our vacation. We went out for the evening and arrived back around 10pm, no turn down had been provided in either room and upon contacting the FD they advised that it was by request only, do you think this would have been very useful information to have provided during our check in process ! Turndown was offered but it was way too late at this point, the agent did offer breakfast the next morning but as we were due to leave for the airport at 6.30am this couldn't be used. I went into the bathroom of the 2nd room provided (my first time in the room that day) and found the soap bar unwrapped and obviously having being used and not replaced during room preparation, disgusting. We did use the swimming pool and locker room which was clean and well stocked, if only the rooms product, booking process and service could have been up to par the historic décor may have been more appreciated by my family. Left the following morning very disgruntled and with a bad impression of the hotel.

I have stayed at the Fairmont Olympic twice now and each time has been a very positive experience. The location is great, the staff consistently helpful and courteous, and the Georgian dining room a delightful experience. I have only good things to say about this hotel!
"Honeymoon in Seattle"

Very nice hotel, excellent staff, especially the concierge, Emily. Beautiful decor, but needs a facelift with upholstery a little on the dirty and worn side. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We asked for a DVD player for the room, as we don't care to watch TV. They were good to provide this .No charge either!
"A great historic top-notch hotel convenient downtown location"
07/29/14 Alfred D Redlands, California
First time visit to Seattle was wonderful and mainly because of staying at the Fairmount. Two terrific restaurants. Starbucks across the street. Excellent room very comfortable bed. Walked to and from the baseball game at Safeco Field. Walked to the waterfront and Pikes Place Market. Walked to the original Nordstroms. Took a guided tour that met us at the hotel. This is the place to be for Seattle tourism.

Stayed eight nights. Excellent service. Mini-Suite room very comfortable. Centrally located for shopping, and walking excursions. Excellent sea food at hotel restaurant Shuckers. Had dinner there three nights.

The Fairmont Olympic seems at first to be a relic from another age. But it grows on you! Fantastic staff! The marble and wood motif is subtle and elegant. Bellhop service was great. The Georgian was a great place for breakfast. Best of all was the car drop off and pickup. You can be dropped off or picked up within a mile. But that covers the entire downtown area including the Space Needle. Would stay again! But remember this place is expensive. (But worth it!)

I stayed in this hotel for a few days whilst on one my trips it's truly a wonderful hotel, it's like any world class hotel just perfect loved my visit had dinner one night which was very good and a few night caps so perfect for me
"Why does "expensive" have to mean "mean"?"
07/27/14 EKTraveller52 London, United Kingdom
We finished a long road trip here and after staying in so many Holiday Inns, Best Westerns etc we thought this would be such a nice and luxurious way to end our trip. A fantastic city centre location, and it certainly is luxurious, but whereas the cheaper brands we'd visited over the previous two weeks seemed to try really hard to make you feel comfortable, much of this hotel just felt like a bit of a rip-off. I mean, it's 2014 and they're seriously charging for wi-fi? ...and at $14 a day? (Luckily there's a Starbucks on every street corner where you can get it for the price of a "coffee".) And a slice of toast cost $5 at breakfast. It's a shame when it's such a nice-looking hotel to feel that you want to spend more time away from it just so you don't feel so exploited.
"Old and outdated attempt at a 4 star hotel"
07/26/14 Drew V Palm Springs, California
I have stayed at other Fairmont properties and was expecting a great experience. However upon arriving in our room on July 23rd in Seattle Washington it was like stepping back in time to the mid 80s. Either that or checking into a 2 star hotel with a decent bed. However, for a Fairmont it was a complete embarrassment for their reputation. The hotel had wallpaper falling off the walls, the phones looked like they had been there for 35 years and the shower had a shower curtain. I haven't seen a shower curtain in a 4 star hotel ever much less in the year 2014. Understanding the building has some historical detail but a shower curtain in the bath tub?? The lights on the end tables had this old style light switches that were discolored white boxes with the rolling switch. It was quite shocking. By the way, this room was on the top floor of he hotel which typically are the best rooms he hotel has to offer. I took several pictures to validate my experience.
