High quality throughout. Especially found the treat bag at checkout for car claim to be a nice touch.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a wonderful and memorable time celebrating our 40th anniversary! This hotel is a classic and a beautiful hotel in a great location of downtown Seattle. Staff helpful and positive. Room and bed was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Dining experience - the setting, staff and food were all excellent. We will come again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing Anniversary Getaway"
We just mentioned that it was out anniversary and they sent us Chocolate covered Strawberries with a Card and message written in chocolate on the plate. Room was amazing and they upgraded us to a suite for only $25.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Luxury in the heart of Seattle"
The Fairmont is a fantastic luxury hotel centrally located in downtown; it's perfect for folks who want to see the city as well as hometown boys like me who want to escape with the wife and enjoy the fantastic dining options. My only (mild) compliant is that the flat-screen TVs are only connected to an analog source, so your viewing experience will […] not be nearly as sharp as the one at home. This lack of an HD signal is not enough to stop me from giving the Fairmont a 5-star review, but it did strike me as odd given the complementary wifi service in the rooms. very good service, close to many shops and restaurants, but room is very smallGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The stay overall was fantastic. We hit a slight bump but when it was brought to the attention of the hotel staff it was taken care of immediatly with a little extra for our inconvenience. The hotel was centrally located that allowed us to walk to many of the sights downtown or on the waterfront.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great room with easy walking distance to the sights of Seattle.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bed was horrible"
The bed was a king sized bed on double box springs. I sleep next to my wife as you are suppose to and I had to sleep on a hard ridge where teh box springs came together. Needless to say, I got no sleep, woke with a back ache that I had for two days. To make matters worse, I expressed my experience and discomfort while checking out and the desk clerk […] only said, " Gee, that's too bad." Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Our stay at the Fairmont was perfect. All employees were very helpful and saw to every single need with a level of professionalism rarely seen in most hotels I have stayed in. This will be my go to hotel for all future trips to Seattle!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"close to everything"
Was a beautiful hotel with a lot of character and very quiet and clean. Close to everything. Hotel had a town car to drop you off and pick you up if you needed but it was only 5 blocks to Pioneer Square, Pike Market and shopping and restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Superb hotel. Absolutely immaculate in all ways-I would recommend it to anyone, and will be returning soon.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Fairmont in Seattle, only if you must stay downtown."

The hotel's condition is overall restored. The paint looks good; however, the carpet near the hotel staff doors appears dirty. There is not much room to drive into the front door and it seems a little hurried to be there. They had just put flowers into the landscape and that did look nice. The food was good to excellent at all their restaurants; however, everything is so overpriced including the price of the room. The waiters and staff go over backyards to please you, they are well trained. Had a room by the street and you will hear noises all night long. I wouldn't stay here again because value for the money.
"Wonderful city central location!"

The location of this hotel is outstanding. We stayed here prior to meeting our cruise ship to Alaska and we couldn't have been more pleased as it is within walking distance to great restaurants, Pikes Market, and viewing the harbor. Also, there is a short monorail ride to the Space Needle. We had a corner room that had a direct view of the Space Needle which was a special touch. The Staff was very friendly and helpful and made every effort to be sure we were happy. We couldn't have been more pleased with the quality and location of this hotel.

"The Olympic" is an amazing property. Centrally located in the heart of Seattle, it has been well maintained over the years. I spent spent 2 nights there recently and couldn't have been more pleased with the quality of my room which was a low end (for The Olympic) room that I booked as a part of our group's block for a meeting in SEA. Spotless, fresh, updated room, wonderful food and up to date conference facilities. I've been a guest at other "historic" or "quaint" properties around the country, but frequently they tired and just don't deliver. One cannot say that about The Olympic. The kitchen staff are masters - superb group meals and definitely believing that one "eats with their eyes". One morning I asked one of the support staff at our group's obligatory continental breakfast for a banana - she brought me two "because they looked kind of small". That's a prime example of management's philosophy of guest satisfaction being adopted by folks interfacing with the guests. I'm looking forward to returning some day.

My husband and I stayed here on a Monday night before departing to return home from our vacation to Seattle and San Juan Island. Located in the heart of downtown Seattle, it was a little difficult to get to in the early evening during rush your traffic. Once we arrived we were pleased to find the our room was spacious and quiet. The hotel staff who we encountered were professional and courteous. The inside of the hotel has a very classic style. Our stay was short but very enjoyable. I would recommend.
"An excellent hotel right in the middle of Seattle"
09/25/14 Lam L Minden, Nevada
Before anything, I want to mention that I did not pay for the room (my company did). As such, I can't comment on the value/price ratio. This is purely about how the hotel feels. First thing first, the service here is beyond excellent. When I first stepped into the lobby, the lady at the reception said, "May I trouble you with..." (after those words, my mind was in bliss). The old-fashion politeness just feels awesome (I assume this is trained, since the pattern of speech is just so out of the norm). Every time (I repeat, every time) I called down to reception, the receptionist greeted my name, rather than just a generic hello. Morning wake-up calls are done in person (a real person called up). The place made me feel almost royal. Secondly, the sound-proof is awesome. I stayed on 2nd floor (I know, cheapest room possible), and there was an event in the lobby. Yet no noise sneaked in. I slept soundly and without neighbor disturbance (I have stayed with some fancy hotels before, and usually the flushing of floor above always bugs me). I heard a family walking by once, and that's it (I guess some really noisy kids are around). All left is a quiet peace. Now, about the room. Good: very stately decorated; the size is about right (not the crammed rooms in some modern chic hotels, but not enormous either); the bed is very comfortable; the marble in restroom enhances the feel of the room. Bad: there are minor details that ruined the grandeur of the room (I almost took away a star): the toilet's seat cheap plastic (seriously! It feels like motel's toilet seat!), the carpet was not neat at places (maybe room specific), and the head of the bed was no securely attached to the rest of the bed. To be frank, the details are quite minor, but they stick out like sore thumbs. Before I forget, the hotel is literally in the middle of Seattle! Unfortunately, due to business, I can't explore the city, but if you want, you can walk to just about everywhere. Overall, if you can get this room below $250, that would be an awesome deal. Otherwise, it is still an old-fashion, grand, and pretty place to stay.
"5 stars is crazy!"

First. The hotel staff was kind and great. We can't blame the staff for the hotel. Hotel on the other hand was horrible. If you are looking for a old, dated hotel room. This is the place for you. I have never in my life stayed in a hotel room so badly in need of a remodel. If you need air conditioning forget about it. If it's in the colder season and you need heat forget about that too. I paid close to $1,000.00 a night for a corner suite room. Biggest rip off ever. They should not charge anyone more than $100.00 to stay in any room in this entire hotel. The only positive is the location. If you are looking to stay at high end hotel in Seattle go down the street to the four seasons.
"FAIRMONT OLYMPIC HOTEL SEATTLE"
09/25/14 Julie W Peace River
Great location...not worth price paid. Room cleanliness is average and hotel room decor is very dated. Arm chair was light blue and stained so bad...chair looked grey on back and head rest. Seattle is a beautiful city, but would definitely not stay at Fairmont Olympic again... Sleepless in Seattle best describes our stay!!!
"elegance and location, that's the fairmont olympic hotel in seattle."
09/25/14 Snoopymama Makati
I love theFrench elegance, great beds and pillows and big bathrooms. Pricey though. Its location however makes it worth it. It is a walk to pike market, central shopping district, subway and monorails. taxi stand is also just a few steps away. And car rental is just 2 blocks up at hertz.
"Lovely, relaxing room............."
09/25/14 MONETTE P CAMAS, WA
The hotel is warm and inviting. Our room, with two queen beds, was large and comfortable. Check-in was fast and smooth. Self parking was a bit of a hike..........across the street and then up to the top (and very expensive). Be sure to drop off your luggage first! We walked to the monorail station and took it out to the Space Needle for a family reunion dinner. We could walk to many places; the location was great. The next morning our luggage was taken to the cruise ship by HAL.
"Great location and very good value"
09/24/14 AuntieJoy Fullerton, California
This was a classic and classy place to stay. Can I say that it was less than 50% of the cost of the local Four Seasons? It was! And they accommodated our last minute third person with a very comfy mattress and bought a round of drinks for us while they freshened up the smoky air in our room. Excellent service recovery. The location was awesome, and we enjoyed the convenience of the adjoining cafe in the basement and easy access to downtown landmarks. The room was über clean and spacious.
