We were never informed there would be a $20 daily charge to park our car at the hotel plus two additional taxes. Our tv was too quite to hear certain channels like A&E. The first four days at our hotel our room temp was 74 degrees. After the 4th day we learned how to turn down the temp but it never was a constant either too cold or too hot. We recently stayed at the Hyatt Place hotel in Seattle with our two young children. We stayed in king room with a pull-out sofa bed. The room was clean, quiet and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the linens soft. The hotel offers a very good complimentary breakfast & they even have a little bar area in the lobby where you can get a glass of […] wine or beer. The surrounding area has a great deal of construction going on (none of which bothered us since it was a weekend stay), so although the neighborhood looks like it may once have been a little sketchy it is certainly on the up and up. We were located right next to the elevator so I was awoken throughout the night by loud people using the elevator. I complained to the front desk worker and she said "I'm sorry." "Perfect location for Downtown Stay!"
Stayed as a group with 3 rooms booked. Had a wonderful 4 day stay. The free shuttle allowed us to go everywhere we wanted in downtown and be picked up with no hassle. It is located a block walk from the Space Needle and you can take the Lite Rail from the airport right down to the hotel. It's a short walk or call the hotel and the shuttle will pick […] you and your bags up. The cost for the rail is only $2.75 each way. So it saves big money and driving in places you don't know to stay here. The rooms are well arranged with everything you need including ample space to have others in the room to visit. Staff was extremely friendly and breakfast very good. We walked in for check in just as they were baking peanut butter cookies right at the entrance. It smelled wonderful as the staff helped us check in. Note as in all places in Seattle, the extra charges for parking over what Expedia's rate list. Laundry only cost $1.00 to wash and 1.00 to dry. "Superb and very near the Space Needle."
An absolutely amazing hotel that I chose strictly on location/proximity to the Space Needle. If possible, make sure you get an upgrade to a room with a view of it. Yes, there are construction cranes around (as of mid-Jan.), but you can't beat it at night when it glows through your room's windows. The room was immaculate and there was a sofa with a chaise/ottoman […] that I don't remember from the pictures that were advertised, so that was a nice surprise. The large flatscreen TV swivels so it can be watched on the sofa or on the bed. I booked a king room and it was almost the size of a studio apartment and absolutely worth the price (and roughly 1/3 or even 1/4 the cost of a similar room in other cities, like Boston or New York). My boyfriend drove down from British Columbia and we were given complimentary tea when he arrived at the downstairs counter (which is where you order food--they have 24/7 meals, but no "room service"--you have to come down and order it yourself and then take it upstairs, but it was all very tasty). The complimentary breakfast had plenty of choices and you have the option to choose comfortable seating at tables in the lobby if the breakfast room fills up. Toiletries were nice, with a complimentary tube of toothpaste included. Parking was reasonable with full in/out access at $20/night plus tax.
