The Pan Pacific Seattle stands in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle, Wash., at the edge of downtown. This stylish property is surrounded by boutique shops and restaurants. The Seattle Streetcar line picks up passengers directly in front of the hotel. Seattle Center is located one-half mile from the hotel.

An intimate fireplace, West African zebrawood, Jerusalem-limestone floors, Asian artwork and artifacts, and angular, modern furnishings decorated in soothing earth tones establish the lobby's ambience. The hotel is connected via interior hallway to a Starbucks outlet. There is an onsite restaurant and The Bar serves seafood dishes as well as non-alcoholic beverages, wine, beer and cocktails. Room service is offered during limited hours. Two complimentary computers are available for guest use. Wireless Internet access is complimentary throughout the hotel. A total of 5,000 square feet of function space accommodates up to 180 people. The Pan Pacific Seattle offers a complimentary, 24-hour health club, located across the courtyard. The health club contains free weights, cardiovascular and weight-training equipment, saunas and an eight-person spa tub. The hotel concierge arranges priority appointments at the adjacent Vida Spa, an independent facility that offers Ayurvedic and Western-style massage therapies.

This 11-story hotel offers 153 Hirsch Bedner-designed guestrooms decorated in taupe, slate and cream tones. Hypnos beds are draped with Egyptian sheets, down duvets, and mohair throws, and are topped with six pillows in three levels of firmness. All rooms come with Herman Miller chairs, 32-inch high-definition LCD TVs with premium cable channels, in-room safes (accommodates laptops), iPod docking stations, bathrobes, and minibars. Wireless Internet access and daily newspapers are complimentary. Bathrooms have telephones and European soak tubs with separate showers with rainfall showerheads. Dogs are permitted for a fee.

Downtown Seattle stretches along Puget Sound from historic Pioneer Square in the south to trendy Belltown in the north. "Perfect After a Romantic Night on the Town, Quiet!"
We booked here to cap off our night on the town/anniversary. Check in was quick and simple. Aside from the usual, they made sure we knew about wi-fi access and how to get in touch if we needed any late night service. I booked this largely because of the bathroom. Even in the basic rooms, it has a very large, deep soaking tub. It would be nice to have […] a door separating the sink from the toilet, but that was a minor quip. From the bathroom, there are sliding panels that open up to the room. I seriously considered watching TV from the tub, but opted to plug my phone into the MP3 dock (iPod and aux connection). The bed was comfortable, but very firm. The Queen bed room that we booked didn't have a lounge chair/sofa to sit on. There was a desk/desk chair, along with another chair in the corner. It wasn't comfortable enough where you'd want to watch TV from it or sit for an extended period reading. For an overnight stay, this is, again, a minor quip. As an added bonus, there is a Starbucks immediately outside the entrance. The only thing that was disappointing was the parking. There is a garage for guests and they do offer validated parking, although the rates were pretty high even in the city. We opted for street parking since it's a quiet neighborhood and I just woke up before 8am to put 4 hours on the meter. It gave us ample time to check out and was a fraction of the parking costs. Just a wonderful stay. The Pan Pacific upgraded our room so we had a slightly larger room and bath suite, which was very nice. The location was pretty good, with a Whole Foods downstairs, a SeaStar on one side and a Starbucks on the other. Some commenters have mentioned the very firm bed and we found that to be true as well. "Perfect Luxury"

Enjoyable location, short walk to monorail up to Space Needle/Chihuly museum in one direction, and the bus service to Pikes Public Market. "Just another nice hotel"
Maybe I'm jaded but the hotel was about what I expect from a hotel - in spite of their higher than norm prices. Most disappointing was getting stuck on the 8th floor facing the condos instead of the 11th as we were promised by hotels.com. Things were nice - except for the one time a staff person came in using his key while we were there! The mini fridge […] came in handy (just ask and they will empty all their ridiculously priced stuff to make room for you - and avoid any question of charges) but a microwave would have been a nice touch. The front desk folks were super; the door guys much less so. The 2 most helpful things were: the extended hours Whole Foods & the hotel validates 2 hr parking in the adjacent garage. (The garage rates are HIGH - lots of lower priced ones nearby.) Never did make it to the exercise room or the restaurant so can't comment. "Very nice property"
We stayed one night before leaving for a cruise and then returned for the weekend following our cruise. The property is quite nice, very clean and well maintained. It has a great seafood restaurant next door where we enjoyed a very nice dinner and cocktails. The staff of the hotel is outstanding! I really liked the bathroom at the Pan Pacific Seattle because it opens into the room so I can watch tv while taking a bath at the same time! We got the top floor room so the view was decent. We arrived on Christmas Day so everything was closed, but I would think it's a convenient location because there were a few stores (probably a supermarket too) […] just downstairs. "Fantastic Pan Pac Property for Walkers"
Everything you've read about the Pac Pacific Seattle on TripAdvisor and Hotels.com is true. It is most definitely, 100% (1) an excellent service hotel with (2) fantastic bathrooms & beds and (3) a refreshing jaunt away from everything downtown. My wife and I visited for our anniversary and got a free room upgrade compliments of the sharp front desk […] agent and concierge, Joe (plus a $10 certificate for Sea Star restaurant downstairs which was wonderful). Coming off the red-eye from Honolulu at 6am, were were also extremely pleased that we were allowed to check in immediately rather than at 4pm - a whole extra day that saved our backs after a rough night on the plane. When the hotel's Director of Operations meets you at the front desk and gives you his personal card, you know they care about meeting guests' needs. The bed and bath are incredible. I liken the bed to the ones at the Westin Maui and Halekulani (Leading Hotels of the World); heavenly. Always put us right to sleep in minutes. The tub was a better soaking experience than even at ryokan and homes I've stayed at in Japan (and we both love love love Japanese baths). Along with the hotel's aesthetic, the design of the rooms and the service level was very Japanese, or pan-asian, if you prefer. It comes across as an Asian hotel, not an American one. I'd like to keep this our little secret but Seattle in late November was actually very pleasant. Small crowds everywhere we went and we obviously benefited from this at the hotel with our super early check-in and no-charge late checkout (2pm, thanks Kevin!). We had no trouble walking from the end of the LINK light rail at Westlake Center down to the hotel, suitcases in tow. If you must, a small tram runs from right in front of Westlake Center up to the hotel and on to Lake Union but we only rode this once on the way back to the airport as we were in a rush. My wife and i stayed here during thanksgiving weekend 2011. The room was nice but did have some drawbacks. The major one was air leakage in our room. There was a beautiful view of the space needle from an angle bit during the night, coldness emanated from the window area despite use of curtains. I set the temperature at 71 during the nighttime but upon […] waking found room temp to be 62f to 63f every morning, which was very cold and also drying on my sinuses. Hotel didn't have a vaporizer/humidifier for use which is not surprising. They did offer an air purifier, which is useless, and did not offer anything that would help or change of room. Other things that should have been there, especially for this caliber hotel and price range: make up/shaving mirror, jets in tub, scale, better toiletries/amenities in bathroom (they could learn a lot from other hotels like fairmonts around the States or especially the Langham hotels around the world). Probably will not stay here again unless major upscaling is done. But they did have a beautifully decorated lobby and friendly staff.
