The W Seattle is evocative of some of Seattle's classic towers. Topped with a steel-and-mesh pyramid, the hotel towers 26 stories above 4th Street. Like other W Hotels, the focal point of the lobby is the W Living Room - complete with comfortable furnishings. The on-site restaurant, TRACE, features fresh seafood, free-range poultry, and grass-fed beef. The W Bar is a Seattle hotspot with a DJ spinning tunes on Wednesday nights. The business center is open weekdays, offering 10,000 square feet of meeting facilities, and computers with high-speed Internet access for a fee. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in the lounge and lobby, which also features a fireplace. The W Seattle features a 24-hour fitness facility with a full range of exercise equipment. Original artwork is found throughout the hotel and is available for purchase. A safe-deposit box is available at the front desk. The W Seattle enjoys pampering pets with toys, treats, tags and custom W pet beds (pet surcharges and fees apply). A complimentary area shuttle is also provided for guests up to 2 miles (3 km). This is a smoke-free property (fines apply for violation). Valet parking is available (surcharge).

The 426 guestrooms proudly display city views from expansive windows with window seats. Renovated in 2006, the guestrooms feature Asian-inspired fountains infused with earth tones and chic wood furnishings. Signature bedding includes pillow-top mattresses and cotton sheets. Guestrooms are equipped with high-definition LCD TV, free movie channels, iPod docking station, cordless speakerphone, an oversized desk with leather chairs, and wired and wireless high-speed Internet access for a fee. The hotel offers 24-hour room service and, with appointment, 24-hour in-room massage service.

TRACE Sushi Bar - Sushi lovers will delight at our lively, 10-seat sushi bar in TRACE restaurant. With a commitment to sustainably-caught seafood and fish that changes daily, guests will find classics like Nigiri, Sashimi and Uramaki Sushi along with an assortment of familiar and unique specialty rolls. TRACE offers a selection of beers, both local and international, including Sapporo on tap, cocktails highlighting area distilleries, and a stellar selection of Sake as the perfect sushi accompaniment.
A full breakfast is served daily from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM for a surcharge. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 2 PM for a surcharge.

We stayed at The W after going to a mariners game. The hotel was nice and overall we were impressed with the atmosphere and room.. "Comfy place"

"Don't always believe what you read"
The night before I was scheduled to check into the hotel, I read reviews from other people and there were many negative reviews. This of course, left me quite worried since I was scheduled to be at this hotel two weekends in a row. When we arrived we were luckily able to have our car parked in the hotel garage. I do have to agree with other comentors that the remote for the tv is a pain in the butt and doesn't work well. Having stayed at the W in the past, I have come to expect an outstanding experience. This stay however was noticeably different. Love this hotel for a weekend getaway with my girlfriend, just a couple of issues, showed up at 6 pm and the valet informed me they no longer had room in the parking garage! THE GOOD: Conveniently located next to tons of great restaurants and shopping, all of which are within a mile of walking. Getting to places like the Pike Marketplace, downtown, and the convention center, are all within a 10 minute walk. Other than that, the hall lighting on various floors was very dim and had a 'cold' feel about them (not the warm, inviting, orange-ish light). Not a big deal though. Our "Spectacular" room was quite comfortable and spacious for myself, my husband and our 18-year old grandson. We especially liked the long couch in front of the expansive windows, as it was very comfortable and a great place to relax. "under construction"
I was looking for a quite space after my 5 nights in the Artic hotel which I could hear the clamor in the street, neighbors coming and goings garbage trucks at 2 in the morning so before I checked in my only requirement was a quite room with absolutely no noise they took me on a tour on the floor of where my room would be the corridors were dark as […] is the entry of the hotel lobby good light for some people so they showed me the room which surprised me nice and airy so I booked my room. When I checked in I told the clerk of my stay at the Artic so she upgraded my room up into the clouds (lovely) but on the first night (friday night) instead the elevator doors opened and allowed entry to loud drunken men and woman coming in after the wee wee hours causing me to abruptly wake up for my la la dreams. This is not the fault of the hotel and I did not call the host to complain since I knew by the time they would respond it would eventually simmer down once the intoxicated group relaxed in the comfort of their room and pass out. I accepted the hotel which was under construction because of it's neighborhood which was central to everything shopping, food, sights and transportation (by the way there is a place not to far close to pikes market great indian food) but I was hoping to find some night life experience in Seattle but I didn't know that the city as small as it is has no night life at least not what I was used to in NYC so I tracked back to the hotel and found the bar which was also under construction a bit claustrophobic so went back to my room which to tell you the truth after that first night with all the ruckus of my neighbors was pretty quite and I was able to get rest which I needed and woke up to a pretty nice view. My husband and I only live a few short hours from Seattle but wanted to spend our 1 year anniversary away for one evening and found that this hotel was just what we were looking for. Loved the valet service! All of the staff was very welcoming and made our brief visit very pleasurable with smiling faces and always a pleasant greeting or door opening. Got a great room at a reasonable price. Big room and the bed option that we requested was honored. The location was great with easy access to everything we wanted to do downtown.
