Downtown Seattle stretches along Puget Sound from historic Pioneer Square in the south to trendy Belltown in the north. In between, office towers, shopping gallerias, and brick condos line the leafy avenues. The convention center is here, as is Pike Place Market, where salmon fly. Don't miss the futuristic main library. Seattle's twin stadiums and the International District lie south of downtown.

"Great hotel.. Not so great service"
We stayed at The W after going to a mariners game. The hotel was nice and overall we were impressed with the atmosphere and room.. We sat down in the restaurant to have a few drinks and dinner before the game and the service was terrible.. Very slow and very rude. Although the sushi was AMAZING!! Overall nice hotel but the service in the restaurant/ […] bar could certainly be better. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfy place"
The hotel itself was really comfy. They require a $45 valet parking, but we parked in the ace parking garage next door and it was less than $30. They offered us a free movie or free wifi because our room had a view of the parking garage. Will be staying here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Don't always believe what you read"
The night before I was scheduled to check into the hotel, I read reviews from other people and there were many negative reviews. This of course, left me quite worried since I was scheduled to be at this hotel two weekends in a row. When we arrived we were luckily able to have our car parked in the hotel garage. Check in was easy and smooth. Room was […] very comfy. Every person we came in contact with was very nice and accommodating. I do have to agree with other comentors that the remote for the tv is a pain in the butt and doesn't work well. I'm not sure if they need to change the batteries or find new remotes, but they do need to do something about that. Thought it was weird that there are no coffee makers or refrigerators in the rooms. Besides that, we enjoyed our stay and I will keep my reservation for the next weekend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not the same W"
Having stayed at the W in the past, I have come to expect an outstanding experience. This stay however was noticeably different. The quality of the linens has changed and not for the better as did the toiletries. As this was a very quick trip I not make use of the eating and drinking facilities at the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Imporvement always possible"
Everything ok excepted: shower must be improved, lack of power, quite disappointing for such a hotel. Also should have more HBO channels unless you want to force your customers to buy movies (like I did).Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Fun in Seattle"
Everything was good during my stay. This is not one of the nicer "W" hotels, but it was very good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice stay, convenient location"
Nice hotel, convenient location. Older W hotel so you can see the less refined things like burnt/scratch marks on bathroom vanity and no fan in bathroom. But overall hotel room was comfortable and would stay there again if price is right.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Extra to use the Internet? Come on!"
Nice hotel, very comfortable room, but I hate how Starwood charges extra for internet access. That is a basic service which should be included as part of the price of the room. I see it as a hidden tax which allows them to understate their rates.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location!"
The hotel was modern and clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. The toiletries were good quality. I loved that there was a window couch and ottoman. This is a great option for an overnight stay downtown, close to fun things to do and shopping. This is definitely for more of an adult, couple excursion, less oriented towards a family getaway.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for business."
Great location. Staff was friendly. Food was good. Gym was small and not restocked as expected. The hallways were a bit noisy with slamming doors.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The W has positives and a few minor negatives"
Love this hotel for a weekend getaway with my girlfriend, just a couple of issues, showed up at 6 pm and the valet informed me they no longer had room in the parking garage! If you've ever been to downtown Seattle parking sucks so this was a large headache, beyond that I am a SPG gold member so I received a 4pm checkout and as I was returning to the […] room at 3 a staff member was in the process of opening my door for the cleaning crew even though I still had the privacy card up, when I questioned the member about what he was doing he didn't make eye or verbal contact with me and hustled off, very off putting! The only other issue with this hotel is make sure you get a room above the 8th floor as they are fairly surrounded by parking garages! It wasn't an issue this time as I asked to make sure I was on a higher floor Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, quality hotel"
THE GOOD: Conveniently located next to tons of great restaurants and shopping, all of which are within a mile of walking. Getting to places like the Pike Marketplace, downtown, and the convention center, are all within a 10 minute walk. We also walked to the historic district with relative ease, although it took a bit longer. The room and hotel itself […] were nice, with a clean and contemporary look. The bedding in particular was super comfy. THE BAD: Shower pressure was abysmal... I suppose the goal is water conservation, but it seemed a bit excessive. I'm not a big person, and it was still felt the water pressure and coverage was terrible. I felt cold the whole time, and what should normally be a soothing relaxing experience was a 'hurry up and get this over with' experience. Other than that, the hall lighting on various floors was very dim and had a 'cold' feel about them (not the warm, inviting, orange-ish light). Not a big deal though. The TV also did not have HD channels. Again, not huge,. But it could be a turn off to some looking to catch a game in HD. CONCLUSION: I would definitely stay here again, mostly due to the convenient and fun location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Good Place to Stay while in Seattle"
Our "Spectacular" room was quite comfortable and spacious for myself, my husband and our 18-year old grandson. We especially liked the long couch in front of the expansive windows, as it was very comfortable and a great place to relax. I am sort of picky when it comes to cleanliness and I would rate our bathroom and sleeping/living areas as superb in […] that department. Also, the morning coffee and early evening treats in the lobby were a nice touch. The valet guys were very friendly, efficient and helpful with recommendations, directions, etc. The downtown location was also great, walking distance to many points of interest. The only thing I was not crazy about was the extremely low lighting in the lobby area, elevators and hallways. Overall, a good place to stay while in Seattle. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
A very trendy hotel with a great bar. Sadly, the reason this does not get 5 stars is the shower was spitty and there is no wifi in the rooms. I liked the shampoos, etc. The towels were not the best. The labeling was a little too cutesy for my taste (the bathmat has STEP on it). We would definitely stay there again as it is conveniently located. There […] was no parking at the hotel and we had to pay just as much to park off site. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Happy!"
My Fiance and I stayed at this hotel with our friends. We loved it! The hotel staff was friendly and extremely accommodating to all our needs! The one and only downside was we had no idea parking was not included in our room rate. We've stayed at other Seattle hotels and the rates all include the "parking fee". So be sure to take note of the overnight […] parking fee! "under construction"
I was looking for a quite space after my 5 nights in the Artic hotel which I could hear the clamor in the street, neighbors coming and goings garbage trucks at 2 in the morning so before I checked in my only requirement was a quite room with absolutely no noise they took me on a tour on the floor of where my room would be the corridors were dark as […] is the entry of the hotel lobby good light for some people so they showed me the room which surprised me nice and airy so I booked my room. When I checked in I told the clerk of my stay at the Artic so she upgraded my room up into the clouds (lovely) but on the first night (friday night) instead the elevator doors opened and allowed entry to loud drunken men and woman coming in after the wee wee hours causing me to abruptly wake up for my la la dreams. This is not the fault of the hotel and I did not call the host to complain since I knew by the time they would respond it would eventually simmer down once the intoxicated group relaxed in the comfort of their room and pass out. I accepted the hotel which was under construction because of it's neighborhood which was central to everything shopping, food, sights and transportation (by the way there is a place not to far close to pikes market great indian food) but I was hoping to find some night life experience in Seattle but I didn't know that the city as small as it is has no night life at least not what I was used to in NYC so I tracked back to the hotel and found the bar which was also under construction a bit claustrophobic so went back to my room which to tell you the truth after that first night with all the ruckus of my neighbors was pretty quite and I was able to get rest which I needed and woke up to a pretty nice view. The staff were very polite and helpful and alway's maintained a smile. Overall I enjoyed my stay so much better than the Artic. Thanks for asking Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"W Hotel in Seattle"
Great hotel, but was under renovatino when I visited. Renovation status was not indidcated on the Hotels.com booking. The renovations killed the vibe, there was no lobby or resturant. They had a meeting room converted for a small bar, which did have food service. Just not the ambiance of the W I so enjoy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great visit"
My husband and I only live a few short hours from Seattle but wanted to spend our 1 year anniversary away for one evening and found that this hotel was just what we were looking for. Loved the valet service! All of the staff was very welcoming and made our brief visit very pleasurable with smiling faces and always a pleasant greeting or door opening. They […] were also very accommodating with requests made. Even let us have a late check out so my husband and I could relax after waking up and not have to rush back to the real world! They are currently under construction but continued to apologize for their appearance. It really wasn't that bad, but I understand they want to make sure everyone is aware. The hotel was also just a quick few blocks from Pike's Place and the monorail to get to the Space Needle which is what we had planned for our 1 night out on the town. Beyond the call of duty service. Very clean and comfortable rooms. We were right off the elevator and there wasnt a peep all night! Very hip, close to everything! Every night we'd walk out to best restaurants that Seattle has to offer. One day we went Christmas shopping just down the street at Westlake. Three incredible days, thanks to the W.Genuine Expedia guest review
"W Hotel Seattle"
I chose W Hotel because of its reputation. Kudos to staff and the proximity of the hotel to important downtown locations. An added benefit was the DJ music on Saturday night. The lack of affordable parking was a challenge. The bath is ample, but the room itself was on the smaller size, although the room contained a built-in window loveseat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good deal with summer sale pricing"
Got a great room at a reasonable price. Big room and the bed option that we requested was honored. The location was great with easy access to everything we wanted to do downtown. Only a few minor downsides. One, the room was clean and modern, but had some signs of wear. Two, the parking was $40 a night. Luckily our friends had free parking so they took […] the car. Three there was no in-room coffee (in Seattle, really?). But if you can catch it on sale like we did, I highly recommend it! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Two night weekend stay"
Nice hotel with well furnished, fairly large rooms. Quite central location and only 1 block from transit tunnel which includes airport train. Bit dismayed that there was a $15 charge for internet use in room but WiFi was free in the lobby area. We registered for four adults but only got three sets of towels. Everything else was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
