Hotel Staff were incredibly nice and very helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Hotel was right down the road from the Convention Center and an easy walk from several interesting sights, like the Underground Tours, Library, Pike Place, and a huge shopping district. "SMOKE FILLED ROOM"
I reserved a non smoking king room. Upon arrival, they said that the only non smoking room that they had left was a queen. The room is in a seperate hallway on the third floor, segregated from the other rooms by a door in the hallway. Upon entering the hall, the smell of smoke is overwhelming. "Good downtown Seattle hotel with great breakfast"
The room was very nice and clean. The daily breakfast was good and you received a complimentary USA Today newspaper. There was also a week night snack buffet that was nice. "Could have been better, could have been worse"
We have always loved staying at Homewood Inn and Suites, and it's never a question as to where we will stay. This time, however, was different. We stayed at a different location than usual, and were surprised at the $32 valet fee - a fee that's practically mandatory, because there is no on-street parking. Then, our room was among a block of rooms having […] the climate control updated, so there was no heat or A/C (the nights/mornings were chilly, and by mid-day, the rooms were stuffy). When we asked for a fan, we were told that they were all out. When we went up to our room, we were grossed out to find that the bathroom had been used since it's last cleaning; the soap had been unwrapped and used, the toilet lid was up, and a dirty towel sat in a heap on the counter. Definitely not what we were used to from Homewood Suites. The management was very nice and apologetic, and made it up to us, but when my friend and I choose a hotel for our infrequent getaways, we really would like to feel like we're being pampered, and not like we're staying at a Super 8. Location of the hotel is good as it is just a walking distance down to Pike market at 1st street from where we stayed. Most of the large shopping malls, eateries are located along the way to Pike's market. "awesome location and a great hotel"
The hotel is located a block from major shopping area. The rooms are amazing, we had booked 3 Suits and they were all huge and very well equiped. Bed was very comfortable. The front desk was not very welcoming at the check in as we had asked for rooms on th same floor or rooms that connect, she did not seem to care that we were placed on separate floors, […] just said we are all booked and that they did not have connecting rooms. One of our suits actually had a connecting door, not to our second room though.They could not call a cab for us as we needed a van, cause there were 6 of us, so we had to stand in the street for a while to get the proper cab whic never happened, had to take 2 separate cabs. Friendly service, clean and modern, and a decent breakfast served daily. Dinner is also included each weeknight. Great location! We walked everywhere but there is also a shuttle service at the hotel where you can be dropped off at key tourist destinations around the downtown area.
