My friend and I spent two nights here to go to some Mariners games. I chose the hotel because of its distance to Safeco field, about 3/4 of a mile. It was also located an easy 10-20 minute walk from Pike's Place Market, the waterfront ferries & pier, and other downtown destinations. We were very pleased by our stay in almost every way. The room was […] medium-sized with modern amenities like a flat screen tv and available wi-fi (which we didn't use); the beds & pillows were very comfortable; everything was very clean. The building is a beautiful old landmark built in the 20's, but has been modernized. The staff at the hotel was friendly, helpful and accommodating. For example, I requested a mini-fridge in the room (apparently not standard) and they not only provided it but called the room to make it was working. Also, we stayed in the area for 8 hours past our checkout time, and the staff held onto our luggage until we needed it... giving us a tag receipt and locking the luggage in a secure room. The only, single thing I can say slightly negative is that we didn't have a very good view out our window. But there was no noise, and the room had air conditioning and windows that easily opened. This hotel is in the historic Pioneer Square district and is withing walking distance of many of the downtown sites. The only thing that could be a problem for some people is that the hotel parking garage is 2 blocks away from the hotel and they charge $20 per day to park there! The garage itself is closed on Sundays and if we had not been lucky enough […] to come across a good samaritan that showed us how to get in we would have had to walk back down to the hotel to ask what we needed to do to get in! For Check-in and check out, there were only 2 available parking spots on the side of the street. Parking was available through the hotel but it was on a different block than the hotel. We stayed at this hotel for a weekend away and to see some mariners games. It was the perfect location as we parked once and never used the car again. Easy walk to the stadium, pike street market, all the places we wanted to go.
