Situated in Seattle, Wash., the Grand Hyatt Seattle is adjacent to Washington State Convention & Trade Center, two blocks from Pacific Place, and seven blocks from Seattle Art Museum.

Opened in 2001 and completely renovated in 2011, the Grand Hyatt Seattle features a sauna, spa tub steam room, wireless Internet access for a fee, and a shuttle. Dining options include Ruth's Chris Steak House serving prime steaks and New Orleans-style seafood.
Guests have access to a business center. 21 small meeting rooms are also available. Beauty services include a salon.
A 3,800-square-foot fitness and health center with locker room, showers and massage rooms is open 24 hours and is available on site. Pets, dogs only, are accepted in specific rooms only. Maximum number of pets per room: 2, pet maximum weight in pounds is 50.

All of the 425 guestrooms feature iPod docking stations, wired and wireless Internet access for a fee, and 32-inch cable television with premium channels. Bedding features triple sheeting and down pillows. Bathrooms feature separate tub and glassed-in shower, and a granite vanity.

Brazilian cherry-wood floors, koa-wood doors, mirrored walls, and premium equipment distinguish the hotel's 3,800-square-foot 24-hour health club. Cardiovascular machines have personal TV monitors and complimentary headsets. The club also offers a locker room with showers, a steam room, a sauna, a spa tub, and two massage rooms. The hotel provides discounted access to a health club across the street, which has a full-size lap pool.

"Grand Hyatt-Pricy Parking"

This was my first time staying in a Hyatt hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very nice. The staff was very helpful. I was on the twenty-fifth floor with a great view of the space needle. The location was wonderful. Everything you need is within walking distance. What a great hotel! With most of my time spent at a nearby conference, I felt the prime location allowed me to take full advantage of local restaurants, pubs, and shops in the area. Everyone I encountered was kind and genuine, making my stay quite enjoyable. And the room's details were spot-on--from the dimmer function in the bathroom for those early […] morning starts, to the luxurious bedding, modern decor, blackout shades for the floor-to-ceiling windows, and an umbrella to use (stored in the room's closet) in the event it rains. "Central to Seattle"
The hotel was great. LOVED the bed and pillows. It was also very central to Seattle, within walking distance of the Pike Street Fish Market and the monorail to the Space Needle. "Cheapskates"
Overall the hotel is what you would expect from a 4 or 5 star hotel. For the price they charge for rooms you would think they could provide free Wifi, at least for a short time each day. If Hotel "put in your favorite number" can do it why can't a high price hotel like this one do it. The only salvation was there was a S*B in the building that had free […] Wifi. Also irritating, I was attending a professional meeting and had a booked the room thru the meeting site I would of had free Wifi but this was a last minute thing and booked via online travel site. I probably paid more for the room but was an official attendee at the meeting but they still wouldn't give me an access code for the Wifi, like what would it cost them "0". Another interesting thing is there must of be some type of electronic sensor on the minibar refrigerator. If you opened the door and even if you didnt take anything I think they would charge you a $10 restocking fee just to have someone check out you didn't take anything. "Staying at the Grand Hyatt for business"
I chose to stay at the Hyatt because it is so close to the Washington State Convention Center. Very easy walk to all the meetings I had there. It is also quite close to the light rail in the event that you are flying into SEATAC - $2.50 each way. The hotel is well-appointed and generally pleasant. The beds were quite comfortable and the maid service […] was outstanding. There was however an odd odor in the bathroom (from the shower drain) that was unpleasant and the water pressure was lackluster. I asked for a late check out and was told that were unable to accomodate my request. Seriously? If I was there for one night I can understand, but after dropping a tidy sum to attend my weeklong meeting I was a little taken aback. And I was only asking for a 2 hour reprieve which I do not feel is unreasonable considering. For the price, I feel that one could find higher quality accomodations in the area.
