The service was prompt and cheerful. We were allowed to check in 3 hours early. The room and view were amazing. We were thoroughly disappointed with our stay at the Westin Seattle. Our room was squeaking and wailing upon our arrival. At 2 in the morning we had enough and went down to complain. The night manager insisted that nothing could be done because "it's an old building". I can't believe they offer a room that shakes and moans with the wind. We wee pleased except for the one missing light bulb (floor lamp) and the one burned out light bulb (bathroom heat light.) I left a stickie-not on the bathroom mirror for housekeeping about the bulbs but they did not respond to my note. The note was also not removed from the mirror. Overall the hotel was comfortable with friendly service. They overbooked and since it was our anniversary they put us in a room with a great view of the city (that was much nicer than what our view would have been) - so that was nice. Practically everything is within walking distance, and public transpo is accessible for everything else. If you're gonna park, you're gonna pay a good amount -WITH tax, comes out to about ~$40 a night for valet; self-park is $2 cheaper, but not worth it, b/c you have to drive all the way up & the access elevator to the self park is not directly accessed […] from inside the hotel. Needed to drive a bit & wifey is 7 mos pregnant, so we parked. Pool could have used a little more maintenance. Here’s the unpleasant event. Btw - when booking, check what's going on that weekend as far as events, either within the hotel, or close by. Our first night at the hotel was the same night proms were being held close by & an event @ the Westin. When we got back from dinner and it was time to go up to our room; there were no less than 30-40 people waiting in front of the elevators trying to get into their rooms. Checked diff floors with no luck; tons of people waiting on every floor. I tried to ask the front service desk if we could somehow take a service elevator up. Now i wouldn't have asked for this if the wife wasn't 7mos with child and very tired. The front desk lady not only was unwilling to help us, but was pretty rude about it. Even the service staff was more willing to help us out, but by the time they told me they were going to try to send someone to get us up; the elevators finally cleared up and we were able to go to our room, after FORTY MINUTES of waiting. Although our stay was comfortable, for the price per night you would think it would look really really nice inside. I have seen better hotels. Our room was comfortable enough but decor was bland, bed was lumpy, and no free wifi in your room! The staff however was very accommodating and helpful. The pool was nothing big, very shallow, only 4 ft deep, […] and the hot tub was well...a hot tub. It was in the north tower and to get there you have to walk through the lobby/bar to get there. I felt uncomfortable walking through there in my bathing suit for everyone to see! Parking cost roughly $43 per 24 hours for valet. We just stayed parked there the whole next day and walked around Seattle. I will not stay there again, nothing spectacular. Read more

Westin is walking distance to the Market and Space Needle and not too far from Pioneer Square. The room was nice, got an upper room which is worth the extra price. Would stay again. Would like night stand next to the bed, not above our heads.

The best part of this hotel was the amazing bed. It was incredibly cozy, and covered in about a dozen pillows. Our room was in the north tower and had a beautiful view of the city.

We booked this hotel for just one night before a cruise. We read alot of reviews that said it was dirty but we did not find this to be the case. It could probably stand a minor update, but it was a nice place. The room was pretty neat, too. Never stayed in a circular hotel. The view was pretty good. For the price one expects a clean room, it was not, carpet was stained and unraveling, bathroom was dirty, keys did not work several times, and room service suck, we ordered food and I would not feed my dog that food, thank god they did not make the beer, my advise stay somewhere else.

We had an great stay in at the Westin in Seattle. The location was right in the center of a various locations we wanted to go. City Center, Downtown, Pike's Market and Queen Anne Park were a short walk, bus or a $ 7.00 cab ride away. The service couldn't have been better. We had a great weekend in Seattle at the Westin. The location really can't be beat. We were right down from the Nordstrom's Flagship store. Just a few blocks from the Paramount Theatre, and a short walk from Pike's Market. Getting to and from the airport was great because the hotel is across the street from the Westlake Center, making the light rail […] extremely convenient. $5 round this is way less expensive that the can (40 each way) or a rental car. We've stayed at Westin hotels many times. In fact, the last time I stayed in the Westin Seattle I had a fabulous room: large, good view, great linens. So I was a little dissapointed when I entered my room and found...a little bit sparse, a poor view, a TV maybe a bit smaller than I'd like. Now to be clear - it was much better than your standard hotel. […] But not as great as I'd come to expect. Otherwise, the room is clean, the service great. The location is awesome - it was literally 1 block from the light rail stop ($2.50 each from the airport!) and EASY walking distance to the Seattle Art Museum, and of course Pike's place market. It was great not having a car - that alone is worth spending extra for a nice hotel in a good spot like the Westin. Read more

We chose this hotel after staying a number of times in a small boutique hotel down the street. Although we always enjoy that experience, we decided to give a large hotel a try for a bigger room (especially a bigger bathroom). While the room was indeed much bigger, enough space to set up for a volleyball game, the space didn't include any extra amenities […] and the bathroom was still quite small in size in relation to the room. The real disappointment though was that the room smelled musty and mildewy - no windows could be opened - and the overall feeling was dowdy and old. The rooms could definitely use a refresh, especially the stained carpet. Since the location is usually our main concern, we will probably go back to our small boutique hotel around the corner where the experience is far superior at a similar price. Read more
