The Westin Seattle

We had a room on the 33rd floor facing the ocean and the space needle for $150 / night taxe incl. Right after ARVO conference. It worth every penny. I visited the first floor of downtown Sheraton Hotel and preferred Westin. The view was fantastic from our room at night and in the morning. The size of the room was larger. The only thing is I hope they […] would offer a mini kitchen to store food instead of forcing us buying junk food and alcohol from the mini fridge three times the basic cost. This would make us feel like at home. We really liked the food at the restaurant. They offered organic meat and oatmeal, locally grown. In the room there was a recyclin bin which shows that the hotel is really environmentally friendly. Just for this I would give them 4, 5/5. To be perfect they would have an heated outdoor pool with gardens of flowers and a bigger gym with machines to ru, bike and different size of weights. People were very nice, sometimes too fake at the restaurant but can't complain about being too nice. We strongly recommend this hotel. Read more

The service was prompt and cheerful. We were allowed to check in 3 hours early. The room and view were amazing. You can surmise from the creative floorplans that the building was constructed in a different era but the modern decor and amenities are evidence that major renovations were successful in bringing the hotel into the present. The hotel was nice, but I didn't expect to have to pay to park at the hotel. We had to pay to park in a parking garage!!! The parking garage at the hotel was $40, but we found a parking garage next door for $25...STILL TOO MUCH!! The location is fabulous of this hotel! The restaurant located inside is ok if you don't have kids but the kids menu is awful as there isn't typical kid foods available. The rooms are a bit small and the shower wasn't as expected since they made it sound spectacular and it was mediocre. They said dual shower heads but that was a pretty sad dual shower […] head and bathroom was small with no vanity outside of bathroom. View was gorgeous but the extra charge for water view was a bit overrated since it was a small corner of lake union. There are no vending machines anywhere in this hotel so if you want a snack you have to walk somewhere outside. The location of the hotel is perfect. Walk 5 mins to Pike Market, 10 mins to Space Needle, or just 2 mins to the light rail that goes straight to Space Needle. There is an Avis directly across the street that we rented a car for just a day. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, ensuring that we have a smooth transition between the days that we paid […] for and the days that we redeemed our SPG points. The only downside is the elevators are somewhat noisy. They make a rumbling sound that can be heard from all the rooms because the hotel is built in a circular shape with all the rooms surrounding the elevators. It doesn't bother me who am a sound sleeper, but if you're a light sleeper, just be aware of the rumbling sound of the elevator during the middle of the night. The Customer service was outstanding, very easy and inviting to speak with the hotel staff. Room was great, fairly quick elevators. Had a little issue with the parking and the expense(being a bit more expense than my taste (1/4 of the total price for one night was the parking). Overall a very nice place. Would definitely stay there again.

Best part about hotel was LOCATION. We had events at Key Arena and at Century Link Field during the weekend...were able to walk to BOTH with no issues. About 4 blocks from Pike Street Market and the original Starbucks. Got a Grand View Room on the 38th floor, very nice view except for the even taller building just across the street from us. But still […] good view of the water. Only issues is that due to it being a ROUND hotel, you can hear the elevator pretty much anywhere on the floor. The fitness room is a joke, no free weights or nautilus equipment, simply treadmills and ellipticals. Thing we (my wife and I) couldn't figure out, how do you have a hotel in a cold area like Seattle, and not have BATHROBES in the room?? Interesting. And the view is pretty small... This Westin is really lovely. Despite the fact it's a conference hotel, the the architecture is a unique curved structure and gives the feeling of a much smaller intimate hotel. The service, food, location and room were all very good. My only complaint was that the hot water on my sink didn't work. I didn't have enough time to even call it in.

I was in Seattle for a 4 day business conference. The staff at the westin was extremely courteous and helpful. My room was clean and very comfortable with a great view of the sound. I would recommend the Hotel and city for future conferences and would like to return with my family for a vacation trip.

The Westin is centrally located to the space needle, pike market and the pier. The room was a little small and had no bureau to put your clothes in we lived out of our suitcase. But the view from the 38th floor overlooking the space needle made up for it.

Concierges were excellent, especially Judy. Check-in could be made more effiicient since we were required to wait in line to check in before 3:00 and to wait in the same line again just to retrieve keys after 3:00. Please consider offering another brand of coffee in room than just Starbucks.

The Westin Seattle is located in the heart of downtown Seattle and is within walking distance from the city's main attractions. The room I stayed in had some very good views of the city and the bay and was very tidy and clean. The only downside of this hotel was its breakfast. Too expensive and very limited choices.
