Our experience was wonderful! This hotel is unique, clean (most important to me) and comfortable without losing any quality! Our room was quiet and visually pleasing as well. The front desk staff were always down to earth and professional, courteous and respectful. The valet were good folk as well! The wine tasting hour was especially unique since at […] most hotels you have no opportunity or reason to strike up a conversation with any other guests in the hotel. This at least gives you the topic of whether you prefer the Washington Merlot or the California Chablis. All smiles in the lobby at that point!! I highly suggest the Wellness perk! A yoga mat and accessories delivered to your room and the yoga lesson on the television for free. Strutting those Seattle streets can put a strain on the body. Only downside we discovered was the restaurant Tulio's. The hyper pretentious waiters and ridiculous prices did not flavor their tasteless food! Arriving at the hotel it was very frustrating that you parked your vehicle for a double digit sum each night when you could park it in any other parking structure in the area for SIGNIFICANTLY less. The hotel service had some great things - the wine happy hour was an incredible perk. The room was nice, especially the spacious bathroom. I did find a […] used earplug and a press on nail on the floor by the bed which was disgusting and the paint on the bathroom door was significantly warped by water damage. Wireless is far from free and when my boyfriend went to use the office area to print out something it was out of service. The location was wonderful, but they put two charges on my card (over $100 each, which they never fully processed as collateral fees incase damage occured), after that they charged me for magically having a second car halfway through my stay which I had to have corrected. We have never stayed at this hotel before. You always wonder how your experience will be when trying out different hotels. I was very pleased to stay at the Hotel Vintage. We had a corner room with lots of windows. The room was very nice and clean. I felt completely comfortable staying there. I also felt that the staff was very friendly and helpful. we loved this hotel - there was a dog bed and food/water bowls waiting for us in our room. the whole time we were there, they kept our dog's name on a board so that other guests knew who he was and could say hi. they had an ample supply of treats and "doggy-bags" at the front desk. and when our dog chewed a whole in one of the corners of the dog bed, […] they said it was no problem and didn't even charge us for the damage. this will absolutely become the hotel we always stay at in seattle, and we plan to look for kimptons in other cities we travel to. highly recommended. We were overall very pleased with the hotel. The location was an easy walk to most places (including the harbor for ferry travel) and had a convenient underground stop for anything further out. The room was not huge but big enough for a king size bed, desk and cabinet with drawers for clothes and a minibar. The bathroom was plenty spacious and amenties […] were good. The bed was comfortable and my hubby loved the pillows! There is a good restaurant and bar on sight - and the people there were very friendly. The only constructive criticism we would give is the Concierge and Bell staff could've been more helpful. They were not rude - very nice in fact - just didn't seem to well informed or knowledgeable. We asked things like travel times or train / bus stops, etc and they didn't seem to know - and when we asked for help with a taxi, we could generally flag one faster than they could get one. "Hotel Vintage Park: great Seattle downtown find"
After much consultation and comparison of surrounding hotels, we settled on this Kimpton hotel - our first one. We were instantly welcomed by the morning front desk staff. They were very knowledgeable, courteous, and never once gave us the indication we were bothering them with too many questions. We are simple, budget travelers and this was one of […] our more luxurious hotels. Our king bed room had everything we needed, although we found some of the "forgotten at home" things the hotel could provide based on price were intriguing. We loved the bed after a long day of walking, but I feel like it was a little too firm for my tastes though my husband liked it. The animal-print robes were a kitschy touch but we didn't use them as the ones in our room were a little threadbare. Having a working heater in our room was wonderful during our very rainy and cold stay. They generously complied with our request for the highest room possible - 9th floor out of 11 floors, only because the 10th and 11th floors were major suites and the penthouse. We loved the little notes we received from the housekeeping staff and wrote one back in appreciation. We also received little gifts as Kimpton Intouch members. Our water was hot and the pressure was constantly good. They were a little spare with the amount of towels they provided, but not a big deal. We also liked that Kimpton hotels are trying to be environment-friendly and allow you to keep your sheets and towels as long as you want before you want them washed. It was a little different they have all of their soaps in big economy containers in the shower but not a big deal. We didn't get a chance to work with the valet - the parking fee at the hotel was a little expensive. For the two days we rented a vehicle we parked across the street at ACE parking. A little worrisome because it's public parking, but it saved us a few bucks to spend on "liquid sunshine" - how our tour guide said Seattle-lites refer to caffeine - and good eats. Friendly staff, and very accommodating and helpful valets (we only stayed one night, but kept our car parked in the hotel lot and the valets were excellent about bring the car down and back up so that we could stow away our luggage and shopping haul).
