"Broken toilet, non draining shower, and rude staff"
When we arrived, the front desk lady was extremely rude to my wife and I. Couldn't switch cards for payments which I always do at other hotels after our stay. Couldn't apply AAA discount cause it charged my card before we even got there. The toilet in our room leaked out of the tank and wouldn't flush all the way. And our shower wouldn't drain so you […] were standing in everybody's dander that would float in the water. One of your staff was extremely helpful, I believe his name was Kai. But we did not receive any help from the overnight gentlemen, or the lady that worked afternoons that I believe was the manager. "The NIGHTS from HELL"
My hotel stay was nothing short of a nightmare. After the very first night I arrived, I planned to take a shower in the morning, so I would be fresh and ready for my business conference. But there was no hot water. None. I had the choice of taking an ice cold shower, or going showerless. Neither of which are agreeable options. The next night was even […] worse. While trying to get a good night's rest, I was awakened by the fire alarm at 1:00am. I had to walk down 11 flights of stairs in the middle of the night in my pajamas, all because of a false alarm. "Unbearable room temperatures"
We loved the hotel, location, restaurants, and employees were excellent. This hotel has a serious temperature problem, and thermostats do not work. We really loved the closeness of being downtown Seattle. Your in walking distance to all major hot spots. Only suggestion is that dropping off and picking up luggage is terrible. "The Red Lion in Seattle- Very Cold"
Our hotel room #902 did not have any heat. I called 4 different times and went down to the front desk to request service. Each time they sent the engineers up to fix the heat. Each time they did the exact same thing and the heat NEVER came on. No one ever checked back with us to see if the heat was working properly or at all. was very disappointed with security at hotel being in downtown seattle ,every time we left the hotel or returned in the evening especially we were approached by homeless panhandlers with one story or another ...Tuesday evening when returning from vancouver we were getting out of the car and a man approached my 14 yr old granddaughter and 16 yr old grandson […] crying begging for money saying he hadn't eaten in 3 days??she was scared to death?when I informed front desk nothing was really done about it .Thursday nite I was sitting in the lobby on the computer and another white male approached me right there in the lobby.I've traveled many places and live in Philadelphia with homeless but they are put in their place and do not approach people like that especially inside an expensive hotel.Also the gym that was available 3 machines???my grandson never got a chance to use it no matter what the hour of day it was always full and crowded ??just very disappointed in the whole deal! "Can't go back; Poor management leads to customer dissatifation"
The desk staff was courteous; the lobby pleasant; the rooms well appointed the location close to perfect, and still I cannot go back. It seems there was an issue with the furnace on my check-in day of Friday; my room was freezing that night. I checked in with the front desk on Saturday morning and was told they would have someone check out my room. […] I returned later in the afternoon to find no change in the temperature of the room. I inquired again and was only then informed about the broken furnace. The maintenance person came to my room at that point and checked the temperature, which read 64 degrees. Apparently, the furnace had been fixed at this point but since I was on the 20th floor I was told to expect the cold temperature to continue. It did and never returned to some sort of normalcy until the wee hours Monday morning. Here is are issues: 1) The communication to the patrons was non-existent. Half the people I talked to didn't know what was going on because the front desk was not well informed. 2) I had to ask for a blanket, which appeared quickly enough, albeit in ratty condition. 3) No one and I mean no one from this hotel offered me so much as a complimentary cup of coffee for the considerable inconvenience I endured. I never got a call from the manger. There were no notes or voice mails left to explain the situation. If this person (s) worked for me they would be unemployed today.
