Downtown Seattle stretches along Puget Sound from historic Pioneer Square in the south to trendy Belltown in the north. In between, office towers, shopping gallerias, and brick condos line the leafy avenues. The convention center is here, as is Pike Place Market, where salmon fly. Don't miss the futuristic main library. Seattle's twin stadiums and the International District lie south of downtown.

The Hotel Rooms were incredibly small, though well maintained. I felt almost claustrophobic in the room. It had a King size bed and a small chair, which took up the entire room. There was no more room to move around in. Also, they completely rob you in parking. We paid $80 (includes taxes) on parking for TWO DAYS! When confronted on their parking pricing, […] they said "Welcome to the city ." They also said their parking rates were lower than most others. So I looked into this. I found abundant parking all over the place for $6/day!!!! Totally robbed. So that's how I got a room rate around $120... they make up for it with their parking rates, but don't tell you until you get there and are forced to pay it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Really disappointed in size of room. We had even upgraded to get a bigger room which was a joke. Barely enough room to walk around the bed and no full length mirror in room. Heard another woman complaining about the no mirror in the elevator.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Sub Par"
hotel was dirty, carpets in hallway were dirty... needs to be stretched... I won't stay there again.... I don't consider it 4 star.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Really overpriced"
This hotel is really overpriced. Our bedroom was very noisy because of the Highway 5. Moreover, be careful because the internet fee is per day AND per computer. It is easy to find much nicer hotels in Seattle for a better price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Four Star Hotel?"
We had to hover in the street outside the hotel waiting for a spot in the valet parking area for a good ten minutes. The area was marked as a three minute parking zone. There were no bellmen in sight. There was only one easy chair in the room. It seems that there should be two of them. The room was, however, very clean, and the bed was very comfor […] table. "What out for the hidden fees"
We were quoted a very fair price for the room the catch is parking no one not even at check in did anyone say to us what the fee is for parking, beware you will get a charge for incidentals of $30.00 and a $6.00 parking tax. $36.00 for self parking. This is a little over the top with out fair warning.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Out of the way / Nothing to do."
Maybe a 4 star on the surface but no more than a 3 star underneath. Not really close to anything; 6 blocks away from the southern point of waterfront shopping; 12 blocks away from Pike Street Market; not a lot of restaurants around; just nothing much special about the place. Room was nice with a separate bedroom, bed was horrible and uncomfortable and […] was not able to sleep well; woke up with a back ach. Staff service was good, bar service lacking. Maid service was adequate until a service representative checked on quality and didn’t bother listening for an answer after knocking and almost walked in on me in my underwear. Overall visit was OK but that’s all. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Renaissance Seattle - a Marriott family hotel Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. I apologize that you were not fully satisfied with your stay, but we do appreciate your feedback. It is rare that we receive a complaint about the comfort of our beds, but I am sorry you feel that it was not comfortable. It is unacceptable that a staff member walked into your guest room without listening for a response first. We will address this matter with our staff.
"Bring your earplugs"
Nothing wrong with the hotel, but it's RIGHT on top of the freeway and even on the 19th floor the constant noise kept us awake. For that reason alone, I would not stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Disappointing"
This hotel has a 5 star rating. The room itself was satisfactory. Got up in the morning to take a swim, looked in the room info pamphlet and it said the pool opened at 6am. I went to find the pool empty and was informed that it had been closed for a year. We had not been told on arrival. We thought we would watch a movie in the room and found out that […] the Marriott chain had canceled that service. And the TV didn't work properly, only coming on after turning on and off a couple of times. 2 of us in the room very bad coffee and only enough for 1! felt the hotel had been misrepresented with it's 5 star rating. The valet staff was excellent! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not what expected!"
When searching for a hotel in Seattle - my criteria was 2 adults and 2 children in 1 room - my search returned Executive Suite which accommodated 4 persons - this was not the case - the suite had 1 double bed and a sitting room with a sofa (that did not convert into a bed). My children had to sleep on the window seat for 2 nights as the hotel had no […] other rooms available. We were not offered any supplementary bed (camp bed) and had to make do.
