Hotel Max, a Provenance Hotel

Tiny room and so noisy my earplugs and night mask still made it hard to sleep. So tiny my husband and I could hardly move around. More like a ships stateroom with the sink and toilet in one small closet and the shower in another closet. Otherwise hotel lovely and staff wonderful but I would not stay there again nor recommend it.

I remember staying here about two years back and felt the hotel was in much better condition than it currently is in. Our drain wouldn't drain and there was hair left in the shower. It's cheap for the area and if you are just stopping through for a night and don't want to spend a lot I would recommend it for the the area. The staff was polite and helpful. I liked the decor, very unique. My only complaints are: the king bed was uncomfortable and our bathroom was so small that my boyfriend's knees touched the opposite wall when he used the toilet (note: he is 6'5"). The hotel is very nice, but the rooms are small. They are not conducive to a desk for laptop work and there is not enough storage space. We felt like we were walking on top of the suitcases to get in and out of the bed.

This hotel has wonderful service, and the rooms are really cool, however; they are beyond small. The bathroom is so small you have to sit sideways on the toilet and the shower is smaller than a gym stall shower, but the bed is crazy comfortable and the service impeccable so its a tradeoff and the price is fantastic.

I am not exagerating when I say that the bathroom is the exact same size as the coat closet. The shower is so small that I could not even put up my arms to wash my hair without hitting my elbows. It's a good thing I'm not claustrophobic! The room itself was also tiny. There was literally a small catwalk around the bed and that's it! Parking overnight was over $40. Don't valet, use public parking. The room was small but that was fine. The bathroom was tiny and that wasn't fine. Very hard to even move around in shower without bumping into something.

I enjoyed the stay in Seattle!! I love Seattle! But my hotel room was to small for the money! I booked a king but I couldn't tell if it was a king size or not. The shower clogged making me having to stay in a tub full of water, that was super annoying. Over all it was just okay for me. The art was really cool!!

While the location was fantastic, the room was small and overpriced. We have gone to big gorgeous rooms for a fraction of the price of Hotel Max. You could hardly move in the shower it was so small and only really a path to walk on around the bed. The heater smelled when you turned it up and it was either too hot or too cold. You'll love Hotel Max if you enjoy the european look and feel in a hotel room - very small as it relates to American standards. Very clean and efficient but not much room to even store a large piece of luggage. Bathroom was TINY so if you need space when you shower or shave, try another hotel.

Our room had a bathroom smaller than most London hotels. When sitting on the john you must be careful to avoid hitting your head on the sink. The rooms are tiny. We had a King room and the bed took up all of it. There was no room to even walk around let alone dress, play cards, or sit anywhere but the bed. No table, chairs or anything. ROOMS ARE TOO SMALL! They do not look this small online. My husband and I were not comfortable. The clothing rack in the closet could not be opened, so our suitcase had to sit on the footstool, the only other "seating area" in the room.

My brother, sister-in-law, their 8 month old baby and I were all going to share a room. We were impressed by the pictures and higher rating for the price. So we got a room. It is a great location in downtown. But there were several problems when we arrived. Be warned: it's over $40 per night to park at the hotel. One elevator was broken, the other so […] small we could barely fit us and the baby in it (without bags) much less any other people. Rode it up but it wouldn't let us off, so had to come back down and climb up the stairs. Arrived at our postage stamp room, surprised. Not as advertised. We wouldn't have even had room to put a crib up. Bathroom was literally laughable it was so small. The sink looked like a cereal bowl. We called downstairs and they graciously upgraded us to a suite with a pull out couch, which I slept on. It was much, much better. However, the bathroom even in the suite was made for gnomes. Awesome staff at Hotel Max. We arrived on a Saturday and the bell man was great. He directed us to a open spot on the street where we could park for the weekend. After 8 PM on Saturday it was free parking till Monday morning 8 AM. We arrived at 4 pm and the max you park for is 2 hours. We had 6 pm reservations for dinner so the bell man put to the meter […] at 6 pm and paid for other 2 hours for us so we did not get ticketed. The hotel was nice, but the one issue we had was how small the room was. Was taken back on the size of the room. We had a room with a queen bed and it took up the entire room. The bathroom was split into two different rooms with a shower in one and sink / toilet in the other. When we checked in, the hotel staff called us to see if we liked the room, and I said it was fine. I would bet if I complain about the size of the room they would have moved us, no questions asked, but other than sleeping and getting ready in the morning, we were never in the room so it was fine. Also the hotel seems to be in a older building so I'm not sure if most room with queens were that size. Nice location with regards to the bus system and we could walk to pike place. Read more
