I really enjoy the Hacienda Hotel. This is the only hotel that I have made a point to stay at again. It offers quite a bit for a great price. given what some of the other reviewers has said about the hotel, i was mentally prepared for a stay in a crummy hotel. however, i was pleasantly surprised when i got there. the hotel is older, but it did not feel super out of date, the halls were a little stuffy/musty, but my room was not. room was clean, the bathroom door seemed old and was chipping […] near the bottom a little. other than a few cosmetic things, it didn't seem like the place was in need of major repairs. My husband and I took my sister and her kids to visit the Self-Realization Shrine Lake (I sugguest those in search on spiritual guidance take a look). I arrived in LA early AM from the East Coast. Understandably, they could not accommodate me right away. My traveling companion, who was taking a Korean Airlines flight that evening, decided to have breakfast in their EXCELLENT restaurant. I have been staying at the Hacienda Hotel for the past 5 or 6 years and I am always happy with the hotel and the staff. This year I noticed that they have been painting and carpeting the hallways.
