To the south and southwest of downtown, this family-friendly region claims some of the city’s greenest pastures. Hayhurst’s 52-acre Alpenrose dairy complex boasts a stadium and a velodrome. Inside the Western-replica town of Dairyville, visitors find a doll museum and opera house, among other venues. Toward downtown, Portland Children’s Museum offers still more activities for the young folk.

"Overall still a 3, imo"
The price went up and is now at the very top end of the value I would assign to this one. Should be mid $60's, imo.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"great for business travel"
the staff is quite friendly, and the rooms are clean and in good condition. The breakfast however is abysmal. I couldn't eat it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not bad for the cost"
I stayed at this location under a previous franchise. It's about what you would expect in terms of quality, bolstered by the large room size, which includes a small bar/counter, microwave and a couch, in addition to the bed. It was quiet, it was clean, and easy to find. The neighborhoods a little odd, though there is a nice eating place in walking distance. […] The included breakfast isn't anything to write home about...it used to be better, but if you are looking for an affordable, safe, and clean place to stay, you could do a lot worse. "A suite that is not so sweet"
The 'suite' that we had consisted of a regular room with a 4 ft divider between the bed and the couch. The couch was uncomfortable and had no stands to set beverages on while sitting on it. However the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small with only about 6 inches between the vanity and the toilet making it difficult to stand in front of the mirror […] to do hair and makeup. There was a soccer tournament in town so the Hotel was full of 8-10 year old girls running up and down the stairs and hallway keeping us awake until late. We left before breakfast so I cannot comment on the included breakfast. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good Value, Very nice for the price"
There are some issues with this hotel, but the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, the internet worked well and its reasonably close to everything Portland if you are here for business or on a budget. Don't get your hopes up about the included breakfast...they have lots of equipment but little food. It's mostly coffee, cereal and some Costco muffins. […] BUT, for the price the room was quite large, came with a couch, a microwave and fridge, a decent TV and while it wasn't spotless, it was pretty dang clean. I will definitely stay here again...it's a really good value 20 minutes from downtown Portland. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Wilsonville Family Friendly"
Not an overly friendly hotel staff. The pool and hot tub is nice. The breakfast was nice if you don't mind cold food. The room had two queen beds with a divider in between so made it nice for privacy.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel, mediocre service"
When I arrived at the hotel after my flight (1am) I found that they had overbooked. However, Ron at the front desk was very curteous and went out of his way to help me and secure a room and over-ride what the computer was telling him. The next morning however was a different story. I informed the front desk that I had to change rooms and they seem increasingly […] annoyed. My reservation was for a double queen and they gave me a large king. This would not work as others would be arriving later. When I finally got to the appropriate room, it reeked of smoke. When I asked about the smoke, they said no rooms were smoking. However, after asking others, they confirmed it definitely smelled like stale smoke and was likely a smoking room in the past. The first couple days the desk service was very rude and wouldn't even get out of their chair from the other room to address my questions. Needless to say, I was furious with the quality and service. However, the staff later in the week redeemed my thoughts of this hotel and were very accommodating and courteous. The house keeping staff was also extremely nice. The location is convenient (close to Portland and nice middle point between Mt. Hood and Pacific Ocean). I was told it would be converted to a Best Western soon and I hope that the good staff stays and the rest step up their game as it would then be a nice place to stay. The restaurant/bar across the street has the best pizza you will ever eat! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I would add an extra star if the bed was a better quality. The bed is as bad as it gets for lack of comfort.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean room; dirty common areas."
My room was fine, but the common areas of the motel were badly in need of basic vacuming and cleaning. It gave the appearance of being cleaned when someone got around to it and detracted from the quality of the stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pleasant place, nasty staff"
Comfortable rooms, pleasantly decorated, in a nice area -- what could be wrong? Answer: the service, or lack thereof. The front desk staff are never there, and when they eventually show up after endless repeated rings, there is never an apology for the inconvenience. "There's my phone," said the man, pointing to the cordless that was supposed to alert […] him to come to the desk, and which he had left sitting on the desk itself while he wandered off for half an hour. Yes, we know that there's your phone, sir, especially since we've had to hear it ring every time we tried to call you to come let us check out -- now what are you going to say about your responsibility for leaving it there? Nothing. That was far from the only incident. The woman at the desk when I checked in was spoiling for a fight the instant I dared inquire why they needed my phone number at checkin. The cleaning staff seem incapable of reading a "Do Not Disturb" sign. The one exception was the girl who was on late at night, when I phoned from my room to ask if I could get a late checkout. She was polite, welcoming, helpful, and offered me a perfect time immediately. Kudos to her -- and if she wants it, please give her the day shift, because she sure deserves it, and she could make people who actually have to deal with the desk a lot happier. It's a pity they cannot hire better people, or train the ones they do have, because this is a nice place. I may even stay here again, but if so, I will have as little to do with the staff as humanly possible, and not expect anything from them. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"1 night stay"
For one night it sufficed. Breakfast ended by 9am, which seemed kind of early. Rooms needed an update, but ours was clean. My husband discovered exposed wiring to the bedside lamp as it nearly shocked him when went to charge his phone. I reported a maintenance issue before 9.00a.m. I got back after 9.00 that evening. The issue hadn't been fixed. They did offer me an up-graded room, but really, in 12 hours they couldn't fix an air conditioner?Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Woodburn shopping trip"
Very close proximity to shopping outlets and Portland. Great price. Nice big rooms. Air conditioning was leaking onto carpet so their was wet floor and it smelled in one of our rooms. Pool was nice. Nice staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay, needs improvement"
Nice enough but needs improvement in several places. We had a somewhat late check-in, 9:30 pm but the person at the desk was new and could not check us in. Strange. We waited 30 minutes for the check-in clerk to arrive. The Wilsonville Inn sign is obscured by trees. I drove around the block twice before spotting the sign. But the biggest problem was […] NO air conditioning. It was a very warm weekend over 80 degrees. No repair person, he apparently leaves early on Friday, gone at 2pm. So we sweltered for 3 days with only the fan I had brought along. The rest of the hotel was comfortably cool, unlike our room. Won't stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Under staffed primarily at breakfast. Clerks at the front desk were the main people having food available for customers with much delay. Breakfast hours 6p.m. to 9p.m.- even Saturdays and Sundays.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wilsonville Inn and suites, Wilsonville, OR"
45 minutes away from where I needed to be and had requested. Although the room was big and comfy, the 1st room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. the 2nd had a non-working toilet, faulty faucet and leaking, drippy pipes.... all fixed by the 2nd night but annoying non-the-less. Staff was courteous and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Disappointing"
We arrived at the Hotel and proceeded to wait 10 minutes, and still no one came to the front desk to assist us. My husband had to go find someone to check us in. Once he did no apology was offered. I could have gotten past that if the room had been clean. Thankfully I always travel with disinfecting wipes, which I used to wipe down the toilet. Unfortunately, […] there is only so much a wipe can do. It can't dislodge an enormous dried booger from the shower curtain! The hotel looked nice from the outside, but looks can be deceiving. This is a case of getting what you pay for. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Large room/suite was nice, but"
The parking lot is too small for the number of rooms available there. The breakfast area was large but it seemed that there were things always missing, the next pot of coffee, silverware, etc.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not impressed."
Staff were always in the back office though they responded within a few minutes. The smell of smoke was very strong when I first arrived and entered my room on the second floor. It appeared that the entire staff were heavy smokers as everytime I arrived or left the hotel for the day, there was someone out front smoking. I'm not a smoker so it was definitely […] a turn off. "Room nice, shower, terrible!"
Everything about the motel was agreable except the shower was broken. It sprayed on the wall and had a hole in the wall that allowed the water in. A shower is an important part of resting from a long day of traveling, so you can see why we wre dissapointed. As for the neighborhood, they couldn't help that there was construction going on.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wilsonville Inn and Suites, in Wilsonville, Oregon"
Good value. The room was very clean and better than expected. The service was lacking. They were short-staffed. Only one person was working at the front desk while also answering the phone, and managing the food. Both in the evening and in the morning, the employee on duty was multi-tasking and trying to do too much at one time. Whether waiting for […] the operator to answer the phone, or waiting to check in, I felt we had to wait too long. Also, they didn't have the cookies out until 8:00 PM and they were out of peanut butter during breakfast. These minor inconveniences were examples of one person being responsible for too many things at once. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wilsonville Inn & Suites - would stay there again"
I stayed in a king size suite that had plenty of room for me to work. There was a couch and a coffee table, plus an L-shaped desk to work from. The in-room fridge and microwave were also nice. The only real complaint I would have is that housekeeping was not as diligent as I would have liked.... but I would stay there again, especially if I needed […] a good place to work as much as a nice room to sleep in. Very close to the hotel you can find Walgreens, Starbucks, gas station, supermarket, and restaurants. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay but not great."
It's under construction, parking from workers and their supplies limited, AND they have the noisiest cleaning crew I've ever heard and I've traveled for years for my company. No consideration was given to anyone still in the hotel even though check out was noon.Genuine Expedia guest review
"I'd wait until after renovations are done."
Stay was ok for a 1 day business trip, but I should have gotten a discount for putting up with the construction. Since it's under construction, the place generally just looked unappealing. Although my sink broke when I tried to turn it on, the maintenance guy was able to fix it pretty quickly because all the other sinks are breaking too. My window had […] a great view of all the construction trash outside so I pretty much kept the shades drawn. When I used the pool, the room was freezing since the construction guys cracked the door open so they could plug a power chord into the wall inside. I lost my pen so I asked the front desk for one, but they wouldn't give me one since guests "usually don't give them back." What hotel doesn't have extra pens for guests? "A good option for families."
The hotel staff were very, very pleasant. They all were very kind and eager to make sure that we had everything we needed. The hotel itself was a little dated and our "non-smoking" room smelled a wee bit like old cigarette smoke... however, we opened the window and took care of the problem. All in all, we had a nice stay. This is a good budget choice […] for families as the pool is kid friendly and the breakfast is a money saver. All 3 of our young girls enjoyed our stay. "Convenient, but LOUD!`"
We were very happy to find this hotel easily and near gas stations and restaurants. The bad part was the music from the bar across the street that kept us up half the night!! "Wilsonville Inn, Wilsonville, OR"
I don't think I would come back here again, although the location of the hotel is very convenient and there are many great little places to eat, Country Grains being the best, the hotel itself was not comfortable for us. The bed had a funny dip in it which felt like you were sleeping on a hill. I constantly battled to find a comfortable spot to sleep […] and it was way too soft. The room was dirty in the sense that there was renovation taking place and the whole room was very dusty. The air conditioner was way too loud, but that could be because there was so much dirt and rocks when I looked in the vents that it's caused the air conditioner to run harder (maybe?) I cracked the window open, but that allowed the freeway noise to invade our space for the night. The room was huge but unfortunately was stuffed with way too much furniture and I was traveling with someone confined to a wheelchair so manuevering was extremely difficult and the bed was much too low to allow me to assist getting her in and out of the bed without straining my back. The bathroom was good though, especially for someone who has special needs and there was plenty of manuvering room in the bathroom for the wheelchair. The whole time we were in the room we felt uneasy, not sure why, but it felt like we were being watched and it felt creepy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
