Within easy reach of winter sports like downhill skiing and cross-country skiing, Northwoods Resort and Conference Center is located in Big Bear Lake, close to Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain and Snow Summit. Also nearby are Big Bear Lake and Big Bear Solar Observatory.
Hotel Features.
After a day on the snow, enjoy a relaxing soak in the spa tub and an invigorating swim in the outdoor swimming pool. When the sun goes down, sip après-ski drinks in the hotel's bar.

Stillwells - Elegantly prepared steak and seafood are served in a casual setting with mountain decor. In summer, outdoor seating by a pond is available. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. An adjacent bar also offers food beside a wood-burning fireplace.
Guests enjoy a year-round outdoor splash pool and spa tub, as well as a fitness center with elliptical machine, stationary bike, Universal gym, and sauna. Bike and ski rentals are available in the hotel's gift shop.
Water activities such as Jet Skiing, motor boating, parasailing, and sailing are available along Big Bear Lake, between three blocks and one mile from the hotel. One mile away, Meadow Park offers a children's playground and sand volleyball court. Skiing, sledding, snowboarding, and snowshoeing are all within 2.5 miles of the hotel at area ski centers. Bear Mountain Golf Course, 3.5 miles away, has a nine-hole course and 300-yard driving range. A bowling alley is one block from the hotel.

Thank you for everything! We were in Big Bear from Los Angeles for a weekend of skiing and just to get out of the city. It was great. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. Our room was affordable and large, it had a fireplace and large bed and a great rustic lodge feel to it. We had a fantastic time. The only thing not really perfect was that the hallways of the hotel were too hot... but then again, we didn't spend time there. The rooms were huge! I was traveling with my wife, 10 and 3 year old kids and really had a good time. The room was spacious and accommodating but needs to have the television upgraded to a flat panel and a new automatic thermostat for HVAC. I had to constantly manually regulate the heater for comfort. I emailed the hotel a day or so before my arrival asking for a room with […] a decent view because my children had never seen snowfall. They never responded and I was placed on the 1st floor with a good view the car bumpers in the parking lot. The free gift they promote at check in turns out to be a 10% discount to the restaurant which they never mentioned until I asked for the gift, after I had already dined. The staff at the restuarant were very friendly and seemed to be happy working there. On my next trip to Big Bear I will more than likely stay somewhere else because I didn't get the value I expected considering it was probably on higher end for area. Only hotel I have ever stayed at that charges $$$ for a pack and play crib!!!!! I booked online and requested a crib for my family of 5. Got to hotel and they tell me it's $10 a day!!!!
