When we checked in, the temperature outside was 60 degrees. The heat in the hotel was set at about 85-90. The heat was turned off in our room-yet the room stayed unbearably hot. "needs desperate help"
Went for a romantic getaway, we arrived exhausted found our room only to have the door open thought because of the cleaning lady. The room looked clean the linens have been used and abused horrible quality. Then when we would leave our room we ALWAYS had a problem with our door not closing it appeared closed and all you had to do was pop it open with […] your hip. "Disappointed"
Stayed 3 days here, not satisfied. With a $200+ a night, I expected at least a nice temperature controlled room with comfortable bed but didn't get it. I checked out 3 days ago, there is still a $100+ hold charge on my debit card (female up front told me the day I checked out the hold was taken off). I ordered chicken wings and was 4 chicken wings short […] of 10 (on room service menu it states u get 10 wings), order big Greek salad, only given a tee spoon of dressing, also got their "award winning" chili, it was cold when I got it, way too much white onion, pretty much a basic chili with too much salt and onion. I read several poor reviews about this hotel- uncomfortable beds, run down, etc. They were all correct. The bed skirts were disgustingly dirty, beds were horrible, our rooms heater didn't work (in the winter), the door to the room had a gap in it almost big enough for my son to put his fingers through. Front desk had little interest on how your stay […] was. My son forgot an item in the hotel. I was told by front desk they have it, but asked to call back three separate times. "Hotel looks good from outside but don't be fooled."
Room was musty smelling. We had no control over heat in room, when we called the front desk they sent engineer who told us heating system had been broken for 3 days and they could not help. He suggested we leave window open to try and cool the room. "Stay away"
The hotel needs to be renovated. The front desk clerks were not helpful and did not show any interest in their jobs. The game room is a complete rip off. The restaurant was less than par. "worst hotel I have ever stayed in!"
we selected this hotel for our weekend getaway in hopes of a nice time, we picked this hotel because we love the village and it was walking distance to it. we arrived in the evening .no welcome gift as promised. bed had a foul odor when face down in mattress. tv stations consisted of about 10 stations...tv was an old 20" crt type. no pay-per-veiw movies […] available.the paperwork said there was a yellow button on remote to get pay-per-view....no button...basic remote. had to sleep with window open since central air system only blew warm air. had to flush toilet multiple times, even if there was small amout of tissue in it. refrigerator had to be plugged in and basically only kept drinks cool. when we placed reservation it said we would be on fourth floor, we were given a second floor room in the back with a view of the parking lot...which was having construction. was woke up 1st morning by two jack-hammers and other machinery. next night could hear people walking over my ceiling. the room was nicely decorated...but that was it. "Disappointment"
the entire hotel is rundown and is in need of attention. The rooms need upgrading and attention, i.e. new carpeting and painting and needs updated TV and furniture and refrigerator. "HORRIBLE PLACE!!"
I have never left a negative review. I feel that negative reviews are based on a one off incident by an upset guest that didn’t give the business the opportunity to fix the issue. This hotel was so terrible I wanted to warn others. TERRIBLE CS, Tom is the most unprofessional and rude business manager I have ever met. I booked two nights at the hotel, after realizing an hour later that I only needed to book for Saturday I called Expedia to cancel my Sunday reservation. Expedia could only cancel the reservation if the hotel approved of it. I called the hotel and was transferred to the manager Tom. I explained my situation and he said there was nothing he could do. He said it was hotel policy which I told him I understood the website stated I had 48 hours to cancel. I was canceling 3 days in advanced. He got very upset and said there was nothing he could do and would NOT cancel my reservation. After he finished yelling at me over the phone, I couldn’t believe this guy was the manager so I asked to speak to someone else. Tom said he was the only one I could speak to, I asked for the corporate number and Tom then hung up on me. The hotel is outdated and dirty. My room was small, dirty, with stained sheets that were also too small. In addition to that, the walls were very thin, I could hear everything my neighbors were doing. "awful treatment and service"
Hotel was awful they treated us very badly.. "Nightmare on Village Drive"
After specifically booking a type of room that was confirmed to Expedia and then to us on arrival; the hotel staff tried to force a different room upon us. "the worst hotel I ever booked"
We were really disappointed and we would never stay there again! I stayed at this hotel for fourth of July. The pictures makes it seem as if the hotel is on the lake but it is not. The lady at the desk was very rude.
