Bathroom sink was dirty (everything else clean) upon our arrival. I stopped by the front desk to tell them about it on the way to dinner and it was spotless by the time we returned. I've stayed here many times and will be back many more!

I liked the spaciousness of the room. I was so comfortable on the bed; I slept better than I have in a long time. I liked that I had good control of the heat/cool, appreciated a daily paper, was allowed a free upgrade to a river room - a view I enjoyed, and the free shuttle to the airport was convenient and efficient .

I got a really unforgettable night there. And I love the free cookies, they are delicious. The only problem is that they only have ourdoor swimming pool and outdoor spa and the water is not hot enough for us to swim outside in such a cold weather.

A short walk across the river to the University of Montana at Missoula, and close to great shopping and food downtown. There is a nice walkway/bike path that runs for several miles along the river that we enjoyed, and on Saturday, there is a great Farmer's Market with music and good food and produce, as well as artist and craft booths. Location is beautiful and convenient to town and the University. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Had breakfast there one morning and while it was very good and the view from the dining area was breathtaking, it was very expensive ($40 plus tip for two people). Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to a friend.

We drove all the way form Denver and arrived early, 9 am instead of close to 1-3 which is when regular check in was so we were worried that we would have to pay an extra night but they just greeted us, found a room that was open and had a similar view and gave us both cookies! Our oldest daughter and her family reside there and long before she graduated from the UofM in Missoula we preferred this property. Was only at the hotel for one evening while visiting my daughter at the university. Loved that the hotel was literally blocks from the college and very easy to find and navigate. The room was large and clean. The bed was very comfortable and had sheets that stayed tucked in. Hate when you go to get in and the sheets move. Stayed here twice on a trip to Yellowstone from Western Washington. It's friendly, comfortable, and restorative. A peaceful river room after a long drive can't be beat. It's fun to watch the fly fishers and kids floating on inner tubes right outside your room.

Probably was another type of hotel at one time, but HIlton did a good job of updating it. The location is close to either side of the river and nature paths, and downtown. Seemed to be where everyone was staying. The room was big and open. The air conditioning worked very well and the bedding was very comfortable.

Be sure to request a river view. My friend stayed in another room in the same hotel and ended up with a room next to the air handler, and below some noisy upstairs guests. I requested an upper floor with a river view and wasn't disappointed. I sat on my balcony reading my book and enjoying the river and fresh air one morning when right before my eyes […] an osprey swooped down, plucked a fish out of the river and took it back to the nest. Right on the Clark Fork river, with a restaurant balcony practically overhanging the river. The restaurant is five-star excellence! Fresh flower pots everywhere, and great service. Located right downtown, by the college and shops. A perfect vacation spot.

The staff, top to bottom is extra nice except the bartenders can get a bit chatty with their favorites, friends and off duty staff. We recently stayed at the DoubleTree and everything was good. The staff at check in and check out were amazing (katie helped us) with me being in the customer service industry, i know what it takes and she was top notch. The hotel is less than a mile walking from downtown, the campus among other things. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in Missoula […] for a concert for its proximity. 2 things- the coke machine near our room (180wing) was not working, everything was warm. 2nd- we wished there would have been some sort of refridgerator in the rooms, we ate out alot and this would have been nice to store some food and drinks. We needed a comfy hotel that was close to the hospital for and overnight stay after having out-patient surgery that day. We were so pleased with the room because it was quiet, roomy, with very nice beds and plenty of pillows. The hotel staff were so helpful and room service was terrific.
