The noise level was the main annoying feature in the room I stayed in as you could hear through some of the walls and at one point I turned on the bathroom fan to drown out the sound of a tv which was left on all night. "Nice !! But .."
My cousin & I stayed here . We both thought the room was spacious , modern & clean . Actually pretty impressed . But I rated my stay here 3 stars due to : 1. The bed is sooo uncomfortable !! I slept on the couch instead :/ , my cousin said she slept fine . But I found it terrible .. 2. The tv doesn't have any kind of selection (no cable) maybe 15 channels […] available none of which are any good. 3. The fridge in our room was not working. 4. Location wasn't great but wasn't bad either bout 15-20 min into the heart of Portland 5. & lastly the bathroom is fairly small which wasnt a big deal but it was noticeable . "Got ear plugs? Not sure that will help."
It was a bit difficult to find but very nice once we did. Room was nice...more like a suite but the biggest issue was the air conditioner which was terribly noisey and everytime it went on it woke us up. It's located right next to the bed. Not sure if the heat would be the same thing but it sure made for an uncomfortable sleep. Even the planes didn't […] make a noise. I think the rooms just aren't perhaps that sound conditioned as we also could hear noises from above. Great location for travelers, breakfast was nice self-serve and the shuttle was perfect. "Day and Night?"
I had a wonderful experience when I flew in late on Wednesday night (11/16) the staff were totally fabulous. I called ahead to see if I needed to schedule a pick up and the front desk asked that I call when I arrived. Pick up was a breeze and the driver and check in staff were amazing. In the morning however, I had eyes rolled at me no less than three […] times in ten minutes. First, I got scoffed at for not making reservations for the trip to the hotel (I assumed the protocol was the same as the previous evening). I got actually yelled at by the cook for trying to order breakfast because I should have realized she was the only one there. Finally, when I tried to check out, the young lady at the desk seemed very uninterested in helping me or answering any of my questions. The day staff really need to be trained by the night staff. "Will be looking elswhere"
Nice room but...Huge couch made room uncomfortable. Too much noise plumbing noise from adjacent rooms , fan A/C ( loud and could not make the room comfortable) Off and on all night. All in all maybe 50% over what it should be. Sorry...Genuine Expedia guest review

This is a nice place to stay, it's too bad they made the walls so thin. Could hear both neighbors tvs through the walls, we were moved to a new room but it was noisy also. The Hyatt Place Hotel is very convienient to the Portland Airport and the Cascade Station Shopping area, however, the walls in our room were so paper thin that we could literaly hear every word that the guest next to us were saying. "Paper thin walls and doors"

"Practical hotel"
The reservation for my two queen bedroom was made in september already. Upon arrival however they only had a king room available with a pull out sofa. Due to the intervention of Expedia we got an extra king room. But for a midnight arrival and messing up the initial reservation i would have expected for the hotel to be more cooperative and offer us […] a solution besides charging it to Expedia.
