Great location, great hotel. My only issues were with the housekeeping -- our room was serviced each day but pillows were left on the floor, dirty glasses left, paper on the floor. All minor details that didn't detract from the stay but certainly there was too much attention to detail. Our stay was exactly what we were hoping for - it was a place to stay while we experienced and roamed downtown Portland and the surrounding area. Our hotel stay was nice providing a decent view overlooking a corner bank with beautiful Corinthian columns (a fan of that period architecture). We only had one issue with neighbors that were loud, but didn't […] last long. The check-in staff were very nice and even provided an item that I did not bring that they said to "please return it when you check out" (which seems to be unheard of these days). We booked the hotel expecting a pool. However, there was no pool or pool access. Nevertheless, the hotel was very nicely appointed with trendy furnishings. The staff was top notch. My only criticisms were: 1) in place of the normal 2-3 trash cans found in a hotel room, there was one strange recycling (?) bin under the bathroom sink. 2) The mini fridge […] was located inside a sealed cabinet- essentially requiring the fridge to run constantly. Anyone who knows the first thing about refrigeration or has ever purchased a fridge and read the manual knows that ventilation is required for the heat transfer to occur. I shudder to think about how many hundreds of mini-fridges are humming away inside of sealed compartments as I write this review. Not even placing the 'green' placard on my door knob (informing the room cleaners to skip my room for the day in order to save water) or using the strange multi-purpose bin under the bathroom sink would have had the slightest effect on the massive carbon footprint these poorly installed appliances are stomping out 24-7. What a great hotel at a great price! Super clean and fun decor. The best thing about the hotel, though, was the staff. So friendly and helpful, they even went down to our car to get our umbrellas so we could walk to breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent hotel. Compared to the Hilton Portland, our room here was larger overall, and had a larger bathroom with more shelf space for our toiletries. Loved the free coffee in the lobby. Used the exercise room, and found it well stocked. Parking is valet only, but nearby street parking (free from 7 pm to 8 am) was plentiful.

This was a very nice hotel located in the middle of downtown Portland, OR. The room was very nice and the beds were VERY comfortable, we almost didn't want to get out of bed! The staff were all great and attended to our needs. The parking valet guys really bust there butts, like in any downtown hotel, but all these guys were so good and had our car […] out front when we needed. The room was clean and comfortable and has its own thermostat for the AC/heat and worked well. Bathroom was very nice, neat and clean and well stocked with plenty of towels. Though parking your car overnight was a bit expensive, you have to expect that in any major urban area. The location is ideal for downtown Portland. Read more

We found the service staff to be very courteous and friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean but a little small(King room). Location was great for walking everywhere. I would recommend to friends due to the friendliness of the staff alone.

What can I say, the desk workers were very friendly and helpful, and the location is great for the price. I concur with other reviewers, any of the parking garages nearby are a cheap overnight option.

The Marriott Courtyard in Portland was an amazing place to stay - especially for the price. Excellent service, beautiful updated decor, perfect service, even lots of extra pillows in the room! The location is in the middle of everything in downtown Portland - close to great shopping, the river, the Pearl District, and public transportation. The only […] negative was the parking charges but we found more reasonably priced parking nearby. Even the Hotel Restaurant, The Original, was fun, and offered great food. This is a good quality city hotel. It presents excellent value for money. It is modern clean and comfortable. The room sizes are good and as a hoilday maker there was an added bonus of an in house laundry where you could wash and dry your own clothes. It is situated in the city centre and is within reach of a plentiful supply of restaurants and eating […] houses. It sits on the main bus and tram routes so city travel is easy.
