    The Nines is: super friendly (from the doorman to wait staff at Urban Farmer), stylish (in a good way), respectful (no maids banging on the door until... 10), and great location (can walk to everything). Only complaint was temperature of room where I couldn't get it cold enough (in April when it was cold outside) to sleep comfortably, but I would totally stay here again. by Kathy  from Bay Area on 04/24/13

    Location.
    Situated in the heart of Portland, The Nines is close to Pioneer Courthouse Square, Tom McCall Waterfront Park, and Portland State University. Also nearby are Jeld-Wen Field and Oregon Museum of Science and Industry.

    Hotel Features.
    Dining options at this luxury hotel include a restaurant, a coffee shop/café, and a bar/lounge. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in public areas. This 5-star hotel features business amenities including a business center and small meeting rooms. The staff can provide tour/ticket assistance, wedding services, and event catering. Additional amenities include a health club, spa services, and a concierge desk. For a surcharge, guests have access to a roundtrip airport shuttle (available 24 hours). Guest parking is available on a limited first-come, first-served basis (surcharge). This is a smoke-free property.

    I love the modern interior of the hotel. Everything is so clean. I asked for 30 ballons and rose paddles for my room, and the staff did an excellent job of making that happen. My griend and I are both very satisfied with the stay.

    Great location, right over Macy's. I loved shopping, it included Ross, Nordstrom Rack, and Forever 21, walking distance. The rooms are very beautiful and the design throughout the hotel is gorgeous. I would definitely recomment it, for any occasion.

    I absolutely loved this hotel. I have stayed in many hotels in Portland and I feel this is the highest quality hotel that Portland has to offer. I will defintiely be returning here again in the future!

    Amazing greeting from Reed after a long journey to Portland: he walked us to our room. Great service all around from check in, valet and check out. Room serice food great. Room beautiful. Location great. I stay in lot of hotels and so far this has been the best all rounder.

    This is a true Hotel, complete with top notch valet, bell hops, staff, décor, and furnishings. My wife and I stayed in what is surely one of the cheapest rooms they have (no view), and it was still exceptional. The common areas are furnished like a museum with lots of interesting sculptures, and the location in downtown Portland is just prime. In fact, […] the whole Hotel felt so "together" and "top shelf" that I felt downright under-dressed when checking in. But, the staff were entirely friendly despite my jeans and t-shirt and the feeling of being out of place quickly faded. I would definitely recommend a stay here for adults/couples, but don't bring the kids unless you want to find out how much their amazing sculptures cost. Read more

    This is a very luxurious hotel. Centrally located to Max and the surrounding downtown area is very nice. No need for a car as most places are walkable and public transportation is easy to get. The Urban Farmer restaurant is one of the best in the area.

    service was somewhat slow in the Urban Farmer, for drinks and breakfast. Checkout was slow as well as getting the car from valet. Not quite the experince I have had before. Watch out, parking is $39.00 per night. Also I was very dissapointed the Departure Lounge was not open on Sunday. In the middle of summer and busy season????
