Situated on the northeastern edge of the city, PDX is a 40-minute light rail ride away from downtown. While the airport’s Oregon Marketplace offers a full menu of shops (including a Powell’s Books), its food selection also impresses. Travelers have their pick of microbrews, German fare, and sushi, among other dishes. First opened in 1958, the airport serves 13 million travelers annually.

The hotel was nice, I guess. It was just different. Really fits in with the keep Portland weird thing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice atmosphere, nice people"
I'd stay again for a night...to catch a plane... The location was convenient, the people were very helpful and nice. But the beds were uncomfortable... I wouldn't be able to stay for a long period of time because of that. Plenty to do in the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quick stay, nice"
We basically only stayed there long enough to sleep and then get up and get on a plane for home after driving around the Olympic Peninsula and making it to the PDX Aloft hotel at midnight. However I have stayed at a different Aloft in Chicago and it was pretty much the same. Comfortable room and bed. Exact same room. It's a cozy little setup and great […] for couples. I love the TV input box where you can plug in about anything you want. Still need to take advantage of that sometime. Didn't have time for the bar this time unfortunately. I didn't have to worry about parking as I dumped off my rental car, but parking cost was really annoying in Chicago. I wonder if there is a charge here also - something to look for. Also, expect to pay for any breakfast (and there isn't much there) unless you're just getting a cup of coffee or tea. Shuttle worked fine, though we had to wait longer than expected once despite it being very close when one of the drivers went to get gas apparently and another had to get us. By the way, the shuttle is shared with a few other hotels nearby so watch for the logos on the van closely. We enjoy the Alofts and will continue to stay at them. "Worthy of your stay."
My wife and I stayed for two nights, the hotel offers an unbeat "new age" approach to travelers looking for a clean, comfortable room. If you are looking for something, just a bit different than the typical chain owned hotels, then this hotel, conveniently located just off the main entry road leading into the Portland Airport, is worthly of your st […] ay. "Good price for location"
I was here only due to a 20 hour layover but got an online deal. It was one of the nicest hotels in the area so I'd stay again or refere my friends there. Updated and very modern.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great place to stay before flying from PDX"
A bit of computer problem. Not sure where that came in. But, Katy at the front desk was awesome. She recognized my distressed saved the day. Thanks you aloft,I am coming back next time a with friends. I think it would be fun to start at, then Max to down town for a night out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great spot!"
I would definitely stay at Aloft again. The staff is very nice. I like the modern and contemporary feel. The outside courtyard is a perfect place to relax. The pillows aren't particularly comfortable and I wish they had a free breakfast offering, but the wi-fi is free and so is the parking. Two huge perks in my book!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Well Appointed"
Loved the hotel. I wish the desk personnel had informed me of all the amenities upon check-in. I missed shooting pool because she didn't tell me the hotel had a pool table!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice Comfortable Stay in a Nice Area"
Trendy and neat hotel. Really liked the live Jazz they had playing when we checked in. Room was good size and we had a nice view on the 4th floor. Large LCD on the main wall was nice. Parking was included as well which I was happy about. This is a newer area which is nice as Portland downtown seems dirty and old. Close to lots of shops and restaurants […] which was nice. Location of the hotel was much further away from the city than we anticipated but was fine. There is a light rail system, but we decided to drive into the city which I feel was a good call as the closer to the city the more sketchy it looked. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Too hip to have bathrubs"
I am a frequent traveller for business. I am also a girl, that has very long hair, that I do not wash every day. It seems to be the trend with new hotels to only have showers. I do not take showers. I take baths. I will not be staying here again. On the plus side, my hotel room did offer complimentary bottles of water. Rare these days.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location near airport - Good hotel"
The hotel has a hip feel to it. There are places to eat near by which was nice. There is Best Buy or IKEA or smaller stores near by as well. You can print out your boarding pass, or print a document for free at their computer station. They have two Macs. Nice perk. The room was cool too and in pretty good condition. Nice place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"ALoft Portland Airport"
Nice hotel very close to the Portland Airport. In a new area with shops that looked nice if you have the time to wander around. Rooms are a bit small, but very clean and all you need is there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay"
Stayed there twice in the last 2 weeks. Enjoyed it both stays. The staff was friendly. Swam laps in the morning and they play the best music at the pool. Good shopping right accross the street. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"aloft but not airborne"
A decent alternative if you have an early morning flight. Close to the airport andd adjacent to a big-box shopping area (so numerous restaurant and retail choices within walking distance). Be aware that the shuttle makes multiple stops and its primary function is to service the regular Sheraton....my early morning shuttle waited over 10 minutes for […] a Sheraton guest who was not even in the lobby when the shuttle arrived. The rooms are fine for one person or two people whose movements are co-ordinated.....basically a new budget hotel. The hallways are more than a little depressing & the rooms try to be 'loft-like'....they are fine while they are new and if you get a good price. On busy weeknights they charge more than the much nicer hotels located downtown or in other areas of the city which makes the layout & lack of service annoying. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"3 stars"
A good solid 3 star hotel, to be better it would need to be more quiet, have a mini bar bell hop, good restaurant, etc.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"More like a hospital room than a hotel room"
I really don't have anything bad to say. Customer service was excellent. The room just seemed a little too 'sterile'. More like a college dorm or a hospital. Everything is very 'open'. No dresser. No drawers. Just cubbyholes for storing clothes. No comfort items. Everything was modular. Clean? Yes. Comfortable? Depends on your description of comfortable. […] Not like the comforts of home. Big LCD TV on wall was nice. Only chair is a desk chair. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"great hotel except for noise from planes"
i do LOTS of traveling and this is a great, fun, comfortable hotel. the amenities are fun - it feels more like a boutique hotel even though it's affiliated with Sheraton. Helpful, friendly customer service agents. The only downside is the noise from airplanes - you can definitely hear them. If you're a heavy sleeper no worries, if you're a light sleeper […] - bring earplugs. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Aloft at Portland OR Airport"
Pros: Unique decor. Clean, comfortable room. Big flat-screen TV. Walking distance to shopping. Cons: Booked a room with 2 queen beds but got one with 1 king bed instead (queen rooms all sold out, Aloft offered an aerobed). Air conditioning was loud and could hear planes approaching airport for landing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very pleasant stay"
Nice modern and pleasant hotel. Rooms a tad basic but clean and airy. Handy for the airport, plenty parking (free). Overall good value for money. Against - Live music sucked ! For - finished fairly early.Genuine Expedia guest review
