It was ok, nothing special. We just needed a place to sleep after clubbing. Great location, friendly and helpful staff. A wee bit on the dirty side, but for the price, it was just right!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient on Max train line"
The other patrons were rather noisy in the hallway. The train went right by my window. I thought I wouldn't get any sleep, but I kept the room fan on all night and it drowned out all the noise and worked out fine. It is not the most pleasing looking hotel but I found it suited my needs for my short stay. I wasn't in the room that much. It was clean […] inside, though my clothes that I had in my suitcase smelled like smoke when I got home though I was in a non-smoking room. These were clothes I hadn't worn! "Never again."
The floor might have been as comfortable as the bed. The pillows were miniscule and the blankets had cigsrette burns even though it was a non-smoking room. The windows could not be opened. The bathtub had mold around the edges and we got two small towels for four people. The hallway smelled of marijuana and I don't even want to think about what the […] carpets stains were. "close to rose garden"
If you are attending an event in the rose quarter, there are few hotels more conveniently located. This one was the cheapest.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had really helpful service, and the price was good for free wifi to be included, but the bed awful. It was so lopsided I felt like I was falling off of it all night. The parking lot was also completely full so we had to use nearby metered spaces. It was convenient to be so close to the convention center but I was embarrassed about the quality because […] I chose the place for my friend and I. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a bad hotel for the price"
i dont really see why this hotel has gotten bad reviews. The room was clean, and for the price, was pretty nice. I dont know what people were expecting for the price, its obviously not the ritz, but it is two blocks from the rose garden, is clean, comfortable, and safe. If you are going to an event at the convention center or rose garden, amd are looking […] for reasonably priced accomodations, i would recomend this hotel. "okay place close to convention center"
The hotel as a whole needs updating. If it was it would be very enjoyable and extremely close to the convention center. But in all, the condition was semi-dirty and fairly dated.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"time for renovation"
Nothing particularly bad, but nothing particularly good either. This is an old hotel that seems old. There comes a time when carpets and furniture need to be replaced, and a fresh coat of paint applied and this hotel has reached it. The bed was soft, the water hot. It met my needs so i was satisfied.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Inn"
The staff was very efficient, helpful and friendly. The room itself had stained carpet, peeling walls, broken widow that had been glued togehter and mildew. The beds were comfortable and appeared clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A place to sleep near major landmarks"
While the room wasn't special and it smelled kinda funky, it was exactly what we needed. An affordable place to stay on new years that was near where we wanted to party. Another bonus I wasn't prepared for, it was nearby many restaurant options.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"pricey due to location?"
It was a nice place to be able to come back to after our event. I don't feel like it was worth the money I paid, however, and I probably won't be coming back.Genuine Expedia guest review

"HMMM!!! Do I really want to go here"
My stay once I got past the hallway and elavators, and bad housekeepers, the room was nice. Love the view the room has. Location is great..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice room--as long as you're not on the north side"
They overbooked the King rooms, so we had to spend our first night in a double which was located right over the MAX rail system--neither myself or my boyfriend slept a wink. But the King they moved us to for the rest of our stay was significantly quieter.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nothing fancy, but an ideal location."
This hotel was nothing fancy, but it was an ideal location for me as someone attending a conference at the convention center. This hotel was also located well for anyone wanting to get around Portland using the rail system. Restaurants and other needs were located nearby. The price was reasonable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Not bad. Not the worst place I stayed in. Although it is kind of dive-y. You get what you pay for. And when I travel, I'm not there to just stay in the hotel. I'll go for a cheaper stay to have more money to explore with. Location is great! The light rail is right there. I suggest you get the $5 pass for the day and you can ride the rail, the ferries, […] and buses all day! The staff were friendly and accommodating. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean but Well-Worn"
Hotel is very convenient to the Convention Center, LLoyd Center, and nearby government offices. Room had the basics and was clean, although the carpet was worn and stained in a few spots. Hotel lobby, halls, and elevators have seen hard use and are looking a bit dated. One-way streets make it difficult to find the entry and parking area unless you have […] really good directions. Price is right. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Avoid north side"
DO NOT accept a room on the North side of the building. Extremely loud traffic/train noise, thin walls. Floor 5 stinks of smoke. I moved after 1st night to S side, floor 4, and it was a lot better. But overall, hotel is shabby, no cont. breakfast, wifi unpredictable, few extras that add to comfort.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good for the price."
For the price, the hotel was okay. The location was great. The hotel itself was outdated and run-down. The tub was cracked all around, the windows did not open, and the halls were only about 6 feet tall.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Cheap, convenient, somewhat rundown, basic hotel."
This is a well-worn, older hotel with no luxuries. The room was perfectly clean but everything was old with stains on the carpet and chair, chipped tiles in the bathroom, old grout between the tiles etc. The bed was perfectly comfortable, the ac worked, the shower worked so if you are looking for a cheap, convenient place to sleep for a night and are […] not looking for luxuries and don't get offended by general wear and tear, this place is fine. Staff were friendly. You get what you pay for and I think that is true in this case. Probably most suitable for anyone on a budget or who is just looking for a place to stay for a night. "Good value. Convenient. Would stay again."
We stayed with our 5 year old for a summer Portland trip to OMSI, Oregon Zoo, etc. Close to Light Rail, Burgerville, Red Robin, Denny's, & Starbucks. It was convenient and a good value. We would stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review
Right on the Max line, making most all of Portland very accessible..a 5 min ride downtown. Safe neighborhood, really nice staff, and a great deal. It's an aged hotel & a bit beat up looking at times. I stayed here one night in a pinch when other downtown hotels were running several hundred dollars/night, but I would probably fork out the money for a […] better place on an extended stay. My ice bucket lid had obviously been used as an ashtray quite recently. That was nasty, and perhaps indicitive of how inattentive the cleaning staff is to details. But...if you want a cheap hotel the location might make it worth your while. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Inn at the Convention Center"
The hotel was in a good location, close to the MAX light rail system in Portland. The hotel is in need of maintenance. The carpets in the hallways and elevators are stained and dirty. The mattress is old and sags. The blanket's top edge was coming apart. The laundry room was locked and only one person could use it at a time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel is old and not well-maintained. One bed was really stained. Blankets on both had numerous holes in them. The cleaning staff woke us up several days because they came around so early. I started putting up the do-not-disturb sign so they wouldn't wake us. I picked the hotel because it's in the free zone for trains and buses. That ended just […] after we were there. That is pretty much the only reason I would recommend this hotel. The light-rail trains are just outside. We were on the opposite side of the building and could sometimes hear them. It must be really loud on the side facing the trains. It's near the convention center and several restaurants (Burgerville and Denny's), but so are a number of other hotels that aren't right beside the train line. The hotel was a washer and dryer, but you need your own detergent and quarters for both machines. I only had one load of clothes but it took four hours because I had to run the dryer three times to get my clothes dry. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel location was very convenient. The hotel wasn't a five star destination, but it served its purpose. It was a great location to easily get to the downtown area or jump on the highway to head to the coast. Location wise it was an 8 and room wise, it was a 4, but once again we were there to see the sights of the city not our hotel room. The staff […] were very friendly and helpful also, another plus for traveling. Thank you guys. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is aging and not as well kept up as it might be. They do not serve breakfast which, in my opinion, should be a given these days. The staff was quite helpful and friendly. The rates were good. But, there are no perks with this stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Barely Adequate"
Nothing special. Rooms need updating. Our room had lack of electric outlets, with too many cords to one outlet. table leg had to be up against plug to keep lamp or TV on. In another room the a/c was too loud. It is handy to the Max streetcars and they have free parking for guests.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Just a bit unclean. needed a towel but housekeeping starts at 9 AM. why not 2 towels to start with rather than one? Hate it when there's no place for soap in shower. Key card had to be re scanned every day. However, free parkingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I don't need tihs to be printed - it's just a comment for the maintenance of the hotel. We arrived in our room, and I cleaned the shower drain out - it was totally clogged with HAIR. That shouldn't happen. I understand that it is an older hotel, but the small details make a huge difference in first impressions. "Just fine."
We booked this hotel solely because we called beforehand to ensure we could have early check-in, which was critical to our obligations later in the day. We were assured there would be no problem. We showed up at 11am and were told by the rude person behind the counter that there were no rooms available and wouldn't be any until at least noon. Fantastic. […] No apologies or willingness to listen to our situation. We had no other options so we came back later and did stay there, the room was fine, no frills. There was mold on the bottom of the shower curtain which was gross but not a deal-breaker. They provided soap and shampoo (no conditioner, FYI). We brought our dog and found the pet fee of $10 reasonable. The location was good. We won't be back but this is fine if you're looking for an affordable quick stay in a good location. "Cheap and easy for a near-convention-center stay"
The Inn at the Convention Center is a no-frills hotel. It is worn and dated. The beds are hard. The pillows are flat. That being said, it is affordable, parking is free, the staff is very nice, and it is next door to the Oregon Convention Center.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Location / Bad Aesthetics"
Best cheap hotel for getting downtown quickly, since MAX light rail service is practically waiting outside just across the street. Hotel is old and dingy in every way possible. Staff are friendly enough. Room service was exceptionally curtious. Odors galore in hallways and elevators (weed, cigarettes, cheap cleaning agents). Room was dimly lit and depressing. […] Wi-fi didn't work for my PC but worked fine for my wife's MAC. Motel 6 accross street is slightly more expensive, but probably worth the extra $. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
