The front desk associate was friendly but maid service was not. Late at night the hotel is used as a place to do drug deals etc. It is likely just the location but overall you get what you pay for.

Check in went smoothly but nothing else did! Our room was dirty especialy the bathroom. The pillows were the size of a book, the thermostat didn't work. I have never complained about a hotel before but this place took the cake!When we opened the door the smell of the room rushed out at you and made you gag. The heat was left on so that made the smell worse. It was a combination of smoke, BO and what we later discovered was dried vomit. I've traveled to 13 countries and to about 25 cities here in the U.S. I stayed in so many hotels, this hotel is by far the dirtiest and the smelliest. I supposedly stayed in a no smoking section of the hotel, but I could smell cigarettes and marijuana coming from the halls or vents, into my room. People smoking in the staircases. A lot of shady activity […] in and around in the parking lot. I've seen females propping the emergency stairway exit open and let guys in ( you guess). The walls and the carpets are so dirty. The carpet was wet when we walked in the door. The ceiling was peeling. There were cigarette burns in the comforter. I asked or two key cards but they didnt have enough for us.

the holel is in need of a major overhaul. Smells of pinesol and then trying to cover it up with vanilla scents. There is a very heavy under smell of cigerette smoke. The NOISE from the LRT is horrid. Forget about getting a good nights sleep. Beds are lumpy and not supportive, pillows are small and whimpy. We will not be staying there again.

Upon pulling into the facility, I knew we were in trouble. Located next to MAX, Portland's mass transit rail system, be prepared to hear and feel the train until the wee hours of the morning. I've traveled around the world, and have stayed at hostels and very basic inns in developing countries. I don't need a luxary, but I expect my room to be clean. The Inn at the Convention Center was easily the WORST place I've ever had to spend a night. It was smelly, dirty and scary. I was scared of the bed, even (I feel lucky that I didn't experience […] bed bugs.). I was supposed to stay for two nights. I didn't get in until just after midnight, so I couldn't do much about it. (Plus, I was hoping that the shock would wear off and I'd wake up finding that it wasn't as bad as I thought. I'm a natural optimist.) This was by far the worst place I ever stayed at. Dreadful is an understatement, staff looked like they were ex cons and which in fact promoted prostitution and drug use there. Room was a mess, the maids just made the bed at that was it and they didn't speak english. Pubic hair was in the bed along with tiny blood staines. When you see a carpet on the elevator that looks as a Museum piece then something freaky might be coming upon you. A supposedly non smoking room that smells like a mixture of smokehouse and landfill is not easy to swallow. The Inn at the Convention Center was probably the worst I have ever seen. Rooms were not clean, bathroom sinks did not drain. Shower heads did not work properly. My "Non" smoking room reaked of smoke. The staff was rude. The neighborhood is a little scarry even for a 6'-4'' 230 lb. man! Do Not! stay at this Hotel!

I was really disappointed. The staff at the arrival was really unfriendly. Then the start was a shock. The elevator so durty and the room as well was not nice. Spots on the floor and the duvet was crinkly so that I was even not sure if it is fresh. No possibility for breakfast or coffee.
