Situated between downtown and the Tualatin Mountains, West Portland’s lush outdoors provides fertile ground for exploration, from its rose test gardens to its World Forestry Center in Washington Park. The sprawling Hoyt Arboretum offers more than 1,000 species of trees and plants, as well as 21 miles of trails. Paying tribute to the city’s nickname, Portland's Rose Gardens claims 550 rose varieties.
see all hotels in PortlandThe hotel and staff were pleasant. Hotel is located in/near an industrial area. Very quiet at night and close to the freeway, just a few minutes from downtown and the Pearl District. I would recommend staying here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Inexpensive and in short driving range to downtown"
We had a very comfortable, firm king-sized bed, which is exactly what we prefer. We stayed here because it is pet friendly (dog was along), it was within 2.5 miles of where relatives were staying, and only a few short minutes drive to the shopping area on 23rd and the Pearl District. However, the hotel is pretty far removed from any restaurants or coffee […] shops. This is a river/harbor industrial area. That location, though, was enough to keep the price affordable compared to downtown hotel rates. Breakfast was great; we were told a continental breakfast was available, but also offered were biscuits, sausage gravy and scrambled eggs, which were delicious. Options also included make-your-own waffles, pastries (cut into sections), cereals, coffee, tea, juices and fresh oranges and bananas. If you only need a place to sleep when not shopping or sight-seeing, this LaQuinta is worth staying at. Only complaint was the sound of the running water coming from adjacent and rooms immediately above. Pretty loud, but forgivable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"In industrial area but easy access"
mattress was in need of updating.OK but not exceptional by any means. Entire motel was clean and breakfast was good with large selection. Surrounding neighborhood was all industrial. Walking distance to nowhere....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Super clean, easy access to downtown Portland"
Overall great place to stay, breakfast was good. Pool was nice and parking is free. The rooms seem brand new but there are no shops or restaurants nearby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was nice a little farther from downtown then we wanted but it was very clean. The only downfall was they didn't have any extra blankets.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wanted to move in."
La Quinta Inn defines the word accomadation. The staff was pleasant and helpful with all requests. The room was beautiful and clean. The pool and hot tub were open 24 hours. Weight room and guest laundry available. The complimentary breakfast had donuts, toast, biscuits and gravy, homemade waffles, cereals, juice coffee, hot chocolate, (need I say more?) […] Food Mart within view of my room. Very Pet Friendly.(doggie snacks when you check in) A walking path for you dog. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were heavenly soft. Yes, I enjoyed my stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I was extremely disappointed that the pool was closed for repairs the afternoon of our arrival. I had called in advance to check and make sure there was a pool. No mention was made when I called to let me know that it would be closed for repairs. i doubt that this was not known in advance,Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Free waffles at breakfast ALMOST make up for it..."
This place is no where hear downtown, it's advertised location. But besides that, it has all the amenities you might want (although the printer was out of toner), including a nice free breakfast,Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"La Quinta good budget if you have a car"
Only con was poorly maintained bathtub with sluggish drain and moldy plug which I reported and they promised to improve upon. Pro included free parking and good breakfast buffet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
