"Residential feel, close to all the action"
I stayed at the inn. It was nothing fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. I would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"in need of an update"
Have stayed in the "inn" part of the hotel several times. This was our first time in the suites. Unlike the inn across the street, our room was in dire need of an update. Like the location and the free parking, but will stick with the nicely renovated rooms of the inn next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Pros: The room I was assigned matched that of the photos. It had been recently remodeled and was nice enough for my purposes. The staff was very friendly. It was in a great location as it is near (walking distance) the MAX stop, Jeld Wen Field and the Alphabet District which has a lot of funky shops and restaurants. Cons: Walls are a little thin. Our […] neighbors were not too rowdy so it wasn't a big issue. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A good value"
The Park Lanes is a no thrills kind of place that is centrally located. Walking distance to the Pearl district etc. A bit sketchy at night, but not too bad. Staff was helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff was very helpful. Nice, simple set up in the room with hard floors. It didn't smell like a "hotel room" and the view from the upstairs was beautiful. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any insulation between the rooms so it became very noisy when neighbors arrived. Otherwise the neighborhood was very quiet. Bed was not very comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I thought all of the front desk staff were wonderful. Efficient, smart, funny. The room was very clean and tasteful - but I would have liked a better shower (water pressure and temp were very erratic), and maybe a mini fridge. The latter probably isn't expected, but it would be very nice. Also some rugs on the floor to cut down noise would be good. […] But these are nit-picky details. I would TOTALLY recommend this place, and hope I get to stay there again. Location is fantastic. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great value! Lovely accommodations!"
I thought the service was very friendly and the room was very nice and clean. Great location and definetly a good deal. It was a little noisy the first night, but the second night was peaceful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
After getting my room key from the (rude) woman at front desk, I haul my stuff across the street (it looks like a motel mind you). I get upstairs to my room and find the cleaning lady is still in there. I stand outside with my friend as he tries to calm me down (we were running late). He suggested asking her to just drop off my stuff inside and leave..he […] walks in and discovers there is luggage and clothes everywhere. That's right, the woman at the front directed me to the wrong room. She apparently activated a key to a room already occupied (she mixed up the numbers). Doesn't exactly make me feel safe though. After going back and getting a new key, I was out of there. When I returned later that night, parking was awful--as in, non-existant. I finally snagged street parking two blocks away. But not fun when you are alone, its dark, and freezing. Inside it was very cold and the "blanket" was more like a sheet. The light also shined in way too much from the sheer white curtains. Overall, I only stayed because I knew I'd only be in my room for 6 hours, but I would not stay there again. The price is based purely off location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent Accommodations for the Price"
I got a great deal through Hotels.com, and decided to stay here on my little getaway. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The man when I checked in suggested I take a room on the second floor of the Inn, which is across the street, which I did. The room had clearly been updated and was very clean. My one complaint was that I could hear the […] recycling truck haul away the bottles from a nearby dumpster early in the morning one morning, but other than that, I have no complaints. It was close to a Max station, and to some really great restaurants. Washington Park isn't that far away, either. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Mostly fine. Front desk people were great. Room did not have a place to sit other than a bed. Nearby food drug store & gas station. Clean & convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location. Thin walls and wood floors. Everything is heard. And squeaky beds. Oy!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is in 2 buildings; a 2 story motel and a 5 story high rise across the street. In the pouring rain it was difficult to find the lobby because we parked in the motel side and there was no explainstion on the sign to go across the street to check in. The only blanket in the room was the one used as a coverlet and it was too stormy to go back […] across the street to ask for another one, so we just put on more clothing. The was no Kleenex and only because we were searching for another blanket did we find a hair dryer. The towels were rough and rather thin. But lest you think we're just complainers, it was very clean and modern and the location was close to downtown, but certainly did not seem worth the money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very happy, will stay again."
The pictures on the website did not match our room but that's not a big deal for me. Having the 2 room suite was perfect for traveling with friends. The Hotel is in an awesome location if you're wanting to hit up downtown Portland. If you're looking for a no frills, quality, and centrally located place to stay for a good price, this place is great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location. Newly remodeled clean rooms. Perfect for our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We visit family in Portland often and always stay at the Park Lane Inn! It's a great location , friendly staff and I love the hair products they supply the room with!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"pictures not accurate"
The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was clean. But...amenities are sparse, I was especially surprised to not find a clock or alarm clock in the room. The room was tiny and the bedding was not enough to keep you warm and the heater was loud..which I guess helped with the high level of noise that could be heard. Overall, I […] would not book again. "Walkable to everywhere"
I stayed here because it was super close to the Timbers soccer stadium and also because it was walkable to downtown and shopping areas. It was perfect for my purposes. My sole complaint would be that the walls had no sound insulation and the room next to me had a crying baby on both nights that kept me up and woke me up. "Don't believe the pictures"
Pros: Relatively close to some great neighborhoods with good food. A few blocks off of the MAX line. Had a two room suite at a decent price. Cons: Worlds tiniest two room suite. Old, outdated carpet/fixtures/couch/chair/drapes/etc. Nothing in there looked like the pictures online, the lobby was the nicest part of the whole hotel. Worlds tiniest elevator […] (we could barely fit two adults and two small kids in there with our strollers). Housekeeping was a disaster - didn't refill shampoo/conditioner/body wash - didn't refill sugar after our first morning of making coffee - didn't leave new soap for our dishwasher (we had to keep requesting things from front desk, who couldn't bring it up, so we had to get it ourselves). Water had to run for 5-10 minutes before it became hot (we were on the 5th floor). Although we were close to the MAX line, it was up a pretty serious hill. We wouldn't stay here again. "Perfect for a Timbers match!"
Hotel is crawling distance from Jeld-Wenn field and bars and restaurants. Having a kitchen and living room also make it an ideal location to pre-function before a match of relax with friends afterwards.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect Walking Location"
Only 1 mile to the waterfront. For me, it's the perfect location. I love to walk in the city. And this location was perfect for that. Also, it's very close to Washington Park were I enjoyed a few fantastic runs. The people working the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and had lots of space. "Poor service but great location"
Basically this is just 'a bed for the night' kinda place. No real hotel facilities - our simple, small room was forgotten by the cleaning staff the first day too. But the location - a 15 min walk to downtown Portland and 10 mins to 23rd St area - made it a worthwhile place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was in Portland for business and decided to add a personal day. I am a twenty something year old girl and was not pleased when I found out that the hotel room doors were outside 'motel style'. This would have been fine if I was with a friend but being alone did not feel great. Don't get me wrong it is a very safe neighborhood I would have just liked […] to know in advance. "Two separate hotel properties- Suites and Inn"
The main hotel "suites" appear much nicer than the rooms in the separate "inn" building which were Spartan at best. The inn rooms were clean but lacked space for the basics such as a desk area or chair. Staff was helpful and professional.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I really enjoyed my time at Park Lane Inn and definitely will return someday. Great location, clean and friendly staff. I recommend it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"older clean hotel"
We were looking for a hotel close to downtown but didn't want to break the bank and this hotel was perfect! Comfortable, clean room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
hotel staff friendly and helpful. room needed update, marks on walls, new carpet, etc. room was clean but did not look clean. sink was clogged, dishwasher would not drain, made room smell, maintenance called, could not unplug sink, said wait for maintenance in day time, we unclogged sink. would not stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Got this hotel for a steal. Just needed one night to stay in the middle of a move but the view from our room was awesome and the people at the front desk were great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Friendly staff. Check in is at 3 and they didn't have a room ready until 3:45. Room is unique in style. Room is small. I stayed under someone and I could hear them walking around the whole time. I paid about 100 a night. I've spent cheaper for better hotels so if I did go to Portland again id shop around some more first.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We arrived for 3 PM check in. "The room wasn't ready. They ignored us for an hour while checking everyone else in. When we finally complained about the lack of service they said they would get us another room and it would be an upgrade. We were placed in a dungeon, The fridge wasn't working. The coffee maker was broken and the view was a window bay […] looking at a dirt bank 5 feet away. The one receptionist was rude and the other one didn't know which end was up. "Close to Sights, bad WiFi, horrible water pressure"
The location of hotel was excellent since it is very close to blue and red train lines and bus lines on Burnside. The WIFI however was pretty much non existent even though they give you a password and 4g was spotty. The bed was comfy but horrible water pressure!! The hotel check in is actually across the street if you stay in the Inn so this makes it […] inconvenient to check in and out and get the morning mediocre coffee. Overall I would recommend this hotel due to price and location but good be a little better on small perks like wifi and water pressure. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wonderful service, great staff, terrific location"
I had a wonderful two-night stay at Park Lane Suites and Inn and recommend it wholeheartedly. Charles, the front-desk clerk, was very helpful and went out of his way to suggest places for me to visit and how to best get there. The suite was very nice, the bed comfortable, and the various amenities perfect. I especially enjoyed the complimentary Umpqua […] oatmeal. A great place to stay! The location of the hotel is great for seeing the sites in Portland. Close to a great area to have dinner in the evening as well as having Washington Park a few blocks away to enjoy. "Location, location, location!"
This is our second year for vacationing in Portland and our second year at the Park Lane Suites. The property seems older yet is pretty well maintained and comfortable. We LOVE the location, the proximity to Washington Park and the Nob Hill/Alphabet District neighborhood. The housekeeping was a little sketchy. On the basic stuff - clean towels, bed […] made, etc. - it was fine. The smaller details - replenishment of dishwasher soap, complimentary toiletries, a pen in the desk - could use some attention. Overall, a terrific, quiet place to stay. We'll definitely stay here again next year and recommend it to our family and friends. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"this was a great budget-reasonable place"
The room was a bit spartan, but modern and exceptionally clean. If your planning to be lounging in your room, go somewhere else, but if you plan to see the best of Portland this place is budget-friendly and close to public transit and just about anything you would want to see. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hard to find"
My stay was nice once I found the hotel. I passed it once as the street is a little hard to locate if you are coming from the park instead of the city. However it is in a quiet neighborhood though near main streets. Very near the Rose Test Garden. We stayed in the unit across the street from the main hotel which meant having to cross the street to use […] their computer to get boarding tickets and made the coffee, fruit, etc. in the lobby inaccessible. There was a nice view of the city and on a clear day we could have probably seen Mount Hood but it was not clear. The bed had sharp corners on the frame that stuck out. I hit my shins more than once. "Great place...one downfall"
We stayed in one of the rooms of the Inn. The concierge was nice and helpful. The grounds were nice and the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The location is perfect; walking distance to the shops and restaurants on 23rd street. The one downfall is the somewhat thin walls. We didn't have a problem with hearing neighbors. I'm assuming it […] was the cleaning crew at early hours of the morning. I just didn't enjoy waking up to clomping footsteps that sounded more like pacing rather than quietly cleaning. So if you can sleep through anything (like apparently my husband can) this is great place to stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
