The Red Lion Hotel Portland - Convention Center in Portland, Ore., located across the street from the Oregon Convention Center, is popular with conventioneers as well as business and leisure travelers. The hotel is just 3 blocks from the Lloyd Center Mall and 4 blocks from the Rose Garden and Memorial Coliseum. Downtown Portland and the Portland Art Museum are within 2 miles of the hotel. A MAX (Portland's rail system) light-rail stop is across the street. Portland International Airport is 12 miles from this property. The hotel provides limited parking (surcharge).

It is expensive to stay in downtown hotel, so we decide to stay in a hotel that is a bit far from it. It is only couple stops from Union Station. Not much noise at night. We had problems with paying to park at your hotel when we already paid to stay there. We did like the friendlyness of the staff. Having Denny's accross the street helped when your upstairs view resterant was closed due to being reserved. Was a nice room, but I would say the hotel is in need of a facelift, it looks pretty trashy in the hallways but the room was decent. Actually for the price we paid it was just fine. The hallway to the room was really smelly. I was happy our room didn't smell as bad as the hallway. I am not sure if the sheets were clean. "Hyperbole Plus"
Unbelievably bad. Truly depressing, Bathroom didn't flush, had moldy caulking, no ventilation fan, water was brown. The "city view" was of another 1950's hotel, dirty parking lot, etc. And this was advertised as "Premium." Walls were thin, had to listen to the folks next door get it on throughout the night. Our room was very nice, I thought that it was pretty big too for the amount spent. Very nice, clean bathroom that looked like it had been recently remodeled.
