Situated on the northeastern edge of the city, PDX is a 40-minute light rail ride away from downtown. While the airport’s Oregon Marketplace offers a full menu of shops (including a Powell’s Books), its food selection also impresses. Travelers have their pick of microbrews, German fare, and sushi, among other dishes. First opened in 1958, the airport serves 13 million travelers annually.

"Avoid this place."
First off, this hotel is not at the airport, it just happens to be on the same street as the airport, 82nd, known as being extremely seedy for good reason. This place is inhabited by meth addicts, and a lady of the evening approached our car in the parking lot to make sure we weren't in need of company. The proprietor, undoubtably a decent and hardworking […] man at the mercy of his terrible location, was insultingly incredulous that our I.D.'s were really ours and treated us with a general air of suspicion. The entrance to the hall of rooms was at the very end of the parking lot, around the side of the building, in a corner that would be just perfect for robbing someone. The whole building reeked of cigarette smoke and old food, and our room was visibly dirty, with cigarette burns in the comforter, a toilet that barely flushed, and a bathroom light that buzzed and flickered. Do yourself a favor and spend ten extra bucks to stay in a decent place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"IConvenient and priced for a single traveler on a"
I thought it had all the things I needed...It was clean, had a refrigerator which I was not expecting. I would definitely recommend it to all...I just needed a bed and I got a great TV and it was perfect for the location of my class.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Gross"
I am not usually one to care about how nice a hotel is, matter of fact as long as it has a bed, roof, and 4 walls I am good. This however was gross, I didn't even want to pull back the covers and slept in my cloths on top of the sheets and comforter out of fear of catching some kind of disease. From the moment you enter the premises you get the sense […] that you could rent a room by the hour if you know what I mean and can hear everything happening around you since the walls are as thin as toilet paper. I would never in my life stay here again and if I knew better I would have slept in my car instead. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It was a bit run-down, but okay"
The place was a bit run-down, but I've stayed in much worse! The location is convenient as it's not too far from the airport, but it is in East Portland and the neighborhood was kind of sketchy. The owner was nice, but he had rules for staying there and he wouldn't allow visitors after 10 PM and warned me as such. Luckily, I was on business and just […] needed a place to sleep, but the fact that he tried to tell me what to do irked me. Overall, not a bad place to sleep, but not incredibly comfortable. "police banging on hotel door. waste of money!"
My stay was not a good one. I was very tired and i just get to sleep when i was awaken by the noise of the hotel manager and the police rapping on the door across from mine. It was crazy, he kept banging and banging! It was obvious tgey were gone or not answering. So i check out early to get to the airport on time. When i get to security i notice tge […] hotel manager didnt give me my ID back. Great! I called them and all they say is "we can mail it top you". No accomidations offered. Wow, i should of charged them to stay there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Shady, shady, shady"
The room was (relatively) clean (bleach kills everything, right?) but that's about all I have to say that's positive about the travel lodge PDX airport. The walls were very thin, very poor continental breakfast, stairwells and general building very poorly maintained, public areas outright STANK (thankfully our room did not) and the walls were very thin. […] Did I mention that the walls were thin? The couple next door was having a great time and we could hear the whole thing - even when they were speaking in normal voices. Because the walls were so thin, the "fitness room" didn't open until 10 due to complaints from tenants. Who works out at 10am on vacation? The neighborhood was super sketch, a number of friendly local strip clubs were kickin', and the front desk person had no teeth. Never, ever, ever again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Convenient, but old and dirty."
Being a frequent business traveler I rely heavily on others reccomendations, so I will share mine. The location of the hotel is great. It's right on 82nd ave near the airport and freeway. The surrounding neighborhood isn't bad either. However, this hotel is in desperate need of renovation and needs to pay a little closer attention to cleanliness. The […] linens seem cheap, old and of poor quality. There was actually a cigarette burn hole in my comforter (and I'm a very easy person to please.) The Staff was nice though, and the rates were very affordable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The motel is protected from the street by many trees - no road noise at all. The interior of the motel is rather shabby - looks like it is in several stages of redecorating. My room was very pleasant (except for some dead light-bulbs). It was roomy, nice bathroom setup, fridge and microwave worked great, as did air-conditioning. The bed was very comfortable […] - all the furniture was comfy. the motel breakfast was OK to skip - not much provided, but for the price of the room I thought it was fine. "If you just need a place to drop your bags."
Different sites reviewed this place differently, it ended up being somewhere in the middle. Clean from the outside, relatively quite neighborhood, and convenient to public transit. Nothing else was good about this place. My view sucked, the halls, walls, and doors all needed a fresh coat or 3, and the tv only had 6 channels. None of them ESPN. The staff […] was cold, almost rude. I came back a little after midnight and the clerk made me stand in the rain while she walked across the room to check the system and confirm I was a guest before opening the lobby door. Had I not paid in advance here on Expedia I would have checked out immediately. They did have fee wifi. There breakfast sucks and is totally shutdown at 8:59am on the dot. If I wasn't so in love with the person I went to see this place woulda ruined my spirit. Spend the extra $10 and stay at the HoJo. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Cheapest and crappiest in town"
This was the cheapes we could find, but for sure the crappiest. It seemed to me that things had been there since the 80s. It smelled like crap, the bed sheet and the pillow case was not white, but yellow, and we found hair in the bed. The bathroom was not clean either..:(Genuine Hotels.com guest review
