"Exactly what we needed"
After 2 months of running around with the kids for sports and the hustle and bustle of work, my wife and I needed a weekend away. The Radisson was great! When we got there we were helped promptly and were even upgraded to a room with a Hot Tub! The room was very clean and quiet for being near the hotel! The hotel itself was excellent. Our room was spacious, complete with a sleep number mattress. The only downside is the noise from trains passing nearby. "Beautiful Jacuzzi Room! and great service"
My husband arrived and were so happy to receive a very inexpensive upgrade to a jacuzzi room. When we got there, we realized we got keys to the wrong room. Happily, the evening manager did not tell us to come back down and get the right key, but left the desk and BROUGHT the new keys to us. A simple thing, but meant a lot to us - it is a big hotel! Service of the hotel staff made it a wonderful experience; however, the website suggested easy access to a golf course which was actually closed by a chain fence. The wonderful waterfall shown also was a smoker's destination which made it useless for non-smokers. The outdoor tables were not offered and the large pond needed maintenance. Very nice quiet place, we were on the first floor with a view of a pond, very nice for the middle of the city. We heard no traffic or airplane noise at all. Staff was great, very warm and nice and accessible. We were disappointed that the cable was very very basic, but that was just our personal quirk. We've stayed in the Radisson Portland Hotel before, and used their service where you can use their parking lot for long term parking and they will shuttle you to and from the Portland OR airport.
