stayed here on last nite of week long stay in portland, house hunting. Was not sure about traffic and time to airport from other hotel we had been at, so opted to move here nite befoe departure. Appreciated the staff who went out of their way to shuttle us to Cascade Max transit. The beds were comfortable, the split bed and living room space was helpful for a family of four to find our own space as needed. The pool was enjoyed by kids. We were welcomed by a very friendly staff member who checked us in efficiently and with personality. :) The rooms were very clean and breakfast was very good. They do provide free shuttle services and as long there is no time limitation; you would be fine with that. "Comfort and Convenience In One!"
We had some rough circumstances that we had to travel to Oregon for. Not one but two deaths in the family forced an impromptu road trip from Phoenix. I am a Starwood employee and couldn't find employee rates available at the last minute like this. I jumped on hotels.com in hopes that I would find a decent place to stay at something comparable to an […] employee rate (I'm a little spoiled in this department). Luckily, I found the Comfort Suites. It was my first stay at a CS, and I told my husband we just might be staying with CS every time we travel from now on! Being part of a Front Office staff, I'm pretty critical when it comes to friendliness and a good arrival process. The girls at the desk were warm, friendly and funny! The breakfast in the morning was so helpful as we were running out the door. Housekeeping did a great job in our room, the laundry facilities were nice and convenient, and being next to a convenience store, a Chinese food restaurant and a McDonald's sure made life easy.
