I was so disappointed in this hotel; I thought "Marriott" was safe bet, but it was the only hotel we have stayed at that charged $12 for wi-fi (everywhere else we stayed wi-fi was free for duration of stay). The room was TINY (whereas others we stayed at were large and expansive, with high ceilings) and this hotel was too far off the beaten path to […] walk anywhere so you HAD to use the car. This wasted time and money because parking in Portland is difficult to find and usually for pay in private lots. Additionally, it was the most expensive hotel we stayed at, you had to pay extra for "water" view, and there was a PLUNGER in the bathroom! That was a first - but I realized why the first time I used the toilet! The valet staff was nice, but they practically had their hands out open palms everytime they spoke to you. I was thoroughly disappointed and would never stay here again even though I plan to visit Portland often. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"horrible stay"
Hotel is horrible. They charge for parking 32/day. Rooms stink. room services shows up 45 minutes after i ask them to bring anything. The basic items like soap etc doesn't get installed everyday. I had to call them each time. Towels smell like dead fish. Restaurant waiters had some attitude. Highly do NOT RECOMMEND this place. Price for this hotel is […] very high for what they deliver. It should have 2 star rated. Absolutely HORRIBLE. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Falsely advertised"
Waterfront room with a balcony - the "balcony" was 12" deep, had dirty dishes on it, and overlooked the roof. Beds were clean enough, but too soft - woke with back pain. Bathroom? So small it took a balancing act to close the door. Valet parking seems frilly, but not when it costs the same to park your own car. Overall, extremely disappointed given […] the cost. I won't repeat my mistake. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"not the marriot i expected."
the hotel was hosting an NA convention (narcotics anonyomous), the people in the convetion were in the halls all night long laughing and screaming, no response from the hotel in terms of getting them to quiet down. only 2 of 4 elevators were functional, Making getting to the 11th floor difficult. the resturants were both closed. Im not a militant anti […] smoker, having to go through 30 to 40 smokers standing right outside the front door was irratating, again the hotel did nothing about it. Rooms were clean. I have stayed a marritots all over the country, this was the worst stay i have ever had. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Disappointing & stinky"
This Marriott was was a true disappointment. The room was quite small and smelled like cheap cologne. The pool was super crowded with children, dirty & the chlorine was really strong. The amenities were limited and the coffee shop was closed most of the time. Parking was a royal pain.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
