Our room was dirty. If someone did vacuum they did a poor job. We could see stuff on the floor around the desk area and table. The coffee area had coffee grounds and sugar on the tray. I wondered if the beds were even clean. The ice machine didn't work and creamer was sitting out overnight without ice on it. The night staff was friendly. "CLOSE TO INTERSTATE 81"
This is an older hotel, great for a quick cheap stay. I had to switch rooms due to tiny ants in the sink of my bathroom and the shower not working properly. The switched me rooms with no issue, but would not stay longer then one night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"ELECTRICAL and FIRE HAZARD!"
All was well for three days. I had noticed the three way ( a devise that allows you to increase the number of receptacles when you need more in one outlet) plugged into the receptacle after hitting it with my foot the first day which cased the light and TV to flicker. I wonder if that was a good idea and how safe it was to do that do to the fact that […] the place is an older building which as you have probably read in other reviews is out dated. Having a construction back ground I can say that the electric looks out dated to and needs upgrading but I decided to ignore it anyway and almost paid the price for doing so. The receptacle under the table was old and had only two receptacles but someone and its my guess it was the hotel had added the three way because they needed more receptacles for the coffee make, light, and TV and one free for the guest to use. On the 4th day I had my laptop plugged in and the light and TV was on. I got up from the chair and laid down on the bed when the Light and TV started to flickered on and off so I figured I needed to unplug something and when I went to unplug one cord from the three way I unplug the three way instead by mistake because of the tight fit. Not knowing which cord went with which device I unplug everything and plug in the three way first than the light, and than the TV when i heard a load pop and saw a flash of light. When I looked at my hand half of it was black and I wonder when the pain would start but it never did, I got lucky. I went to the front desk to report what happened and told them how it happened and said I did not think having the three way was to building code. The two at the desk I think they are the new management a couple said nothing but looked at each other out of their corner of their eyes. They called the maintenance guy and he came to my room with the owner manager what ever he is and he plugged in the TV. "Not the best stay"
The staff was wonderful, but the hot hallways, the strong smell of mold and must in the hallways and in the rooms was unbearable. Our allergies were a mess with red eyes and irritated skin from the mold and dust mites. The pool is in an awkward place right out in the parking lot.
